8. use the different composition and key elements of digital
photography: pattern, symmetry and texture to emphasize
a subject properly.
9. familiarize the different composition and key
elements of digital photography: pattern,
symmetry and texture.
10. create pictures that applies the different
composition and key elements of digital
photography: pattern, symmetry and texture
in real life situation.
12. • Good Composition is a key element of good photographs yet
is something that is hard to define.
• The key is to remember that in the same way as a chef rarely
uses all the ingredients at their disposal in any dish - that a
photographer rarely uses all of the ingredients of composition
in the making of an image.
• Today we will look at three of the ten elements of composition:
pattern, symmetry and texture.
• They’re not ‘rules’ - just things to consider when setting up a
shot.
13. PATTERN
•There are patterns all around us if we
only learn to see them. Emphasizing
and highlighting these patterns can
lead to striking shots - as can high
lighting when patterns are broken.
16. SYMMETRY
• Depending upon the scene - symmetry can be something to go for - or to
avoid completely.
• A symmetrical shot with strong composition and a good point of interest can
lead to a striking image - but without the strong point of interest it can be a little
predictable. I prefer to experiment with both in the one shoot to see which
works best.
• To play with symmetry try shooting vertical images horizontally and horizontal
images vertically. The subject matter is always meant to the focal point, but
there isn’t necessarily a rule stating vertical images to be shot vertically.
18. TEXTURE
Images a two-dimensional thing yet with the
clever use of ‘texture’ they can come alive and
become almost three dimensional. Texture
particularly comes into play when light hits
objects at interesting angles.
20. Texture, of course, exists in the surface details of your
subject. It is that quality that makes an otherwise two-
dimensional object seem like it could be experienced
through touch. It is another one of the six classic design
elements, which also includes line, shape, form, color and
space.
21. GROUP ACTIVITY
Every group must capture one picture of every element of
photography: pattern, symmetry and texture. It will be
shown on TV screen.

22. RUBRIKS
• Creativity = 30%
• Originality = 30%
• Correct usage of the Element = 20%
• Color and Vividness = 20%
• TOTAL = 100%
23. DESCRIBE WHAT CAN YOU OBSERVE IN THE PICTURE;
DETAILS AND DESCRIPTION
28. is an infectious disease caused by a newly
discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with
the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate
respiratory illness and recover without requiring special
treatment.
