This document outlines the Student Learning Objective (SLO) process for assessing educator effectiveness based on student achievement. It provides details for an SLO created by an elementary instrumental music teacher, including classroom context, goal statement aligned to PA standards, performance indicators and targets, performance measures and metrics, teacher expectations, and spaces for signatures to finalize the SLO. The teacher's goal is for students to improve their proficiency in reading music notation and performing on instruments individually and in an ensemble by progressing a certain number of pages in their method book per marking period.
