SUPERCHARGE EMPLOYEE TRAINING WITH HIGH-POWERED LEARNING CONTENTHuman Capital Media
When it comes delivering high-quality training, finding or creating employee training courses that can both meet compliance needs and fill the skill gaps in your team is often very challenging. From construction to childcare, regulatory requirements are constantly changing and as every industry evolves there is a need to provide a training program that allows your company to stay up-to-date, ahead of the competition, and helps keep employees engaged and continuously improving performance outcomes.
Join eThink Education and GO1 on November 5th at 12 pm ET to learn:
Why it’s important to incorporate multiple methods of workplace learning including in-person and online training, and how a best-of-breed content strategy supports this.
The benefit of incorporating both off-the-shelf and custom eLearning content into your learning programs.
How the best learning and development training can increase employee engagement, collaboration, and productivity.
How you can pair your training platform with a comprehensive off-the-shelf eLearning library for a tailored, all-in-one learning experience.

Dont wait what 300 ld leaders have learned about building data fluencyHuman Capital Media
Data science and AI are impacting many industries globally, from healthcare and government to agriculture and finance. Everybody needs to be able to work with data the way everybody needed to start using email 20 years ago. As we wrote in Harvard Business Review, “Very few companies expect only professional writers to know how to write. So why ask only professional data scientists to understand and analyze data, at least at a basic level?”
But what value can data fluency actually add, what are best practices to build it into your organization, and what are the biggest challenges that businesses encounter in data-driven transformations?
To answer these questions and more, we conducted a survey of over 300 Learning and Development leaders from diverse industries including healthcare, technology, consumer goods, government, and finance. Join this webinar with Dr. Hugo Bowne-Anderson, a data scientist and educator at DataCamp, to find out what we discovered and what 300 L&D leaders have learned about building data fluency.
Learning Objectives:
What value can data fluency actually add?
What are the best practices to build data fluency in your organization?
What are the biggest challenges that businesses encounter in data-driven transformations?
Think about the most boring eLearning you've ever created. Could you have done something different? mLearning has been a buzzword in eLearning for decades. Nearly every year someone speculates that the time for mLearning has finally arrived – and just about that often we discover that still – very few people actually are producing their learning content for mobile devices. You can imagine then that it is with some trepidation that I enter into the arena, to echo voices that have often proclaimed a start to the mobile land-rush.
As the concepts of eLearning and mLearning converge and create every day learning built to support today’s modern learners, how might our design decisions change? Do the elements and principles of design for conventional eLearning prevail? Does the powerful trend of mobile first design win the day? How can you make great decisions that will ensure your course content has a long life, degrades gracefully on a multitude of screens and looks great no matter which way those pesky learners turn those screens?
Join Dr. Allen Partridge, Artist, Designer, Developer and Adobe eLearning Evangelist for this journey into the unknown and barely understood world of design for multimedia eLearning in the multi-device world. You’ll learn practical tips for designing and developing great course content that stands the test of time, and the tide of ever-evolving display sizes and orientations using Adobe Captivate 8.
An overview of five common mistakes made in developing mobile learning content - and demonstrations of ways to implement more effectively. Understand and prevent the most common errors as you transition to mobile content for your eLearners.

Social media in virtual mobilities at SMART 2014Diana Andone
Presentation at the International Conference SMART Social Media in Academic Research and Training, 18-20 September 2014, Timisoara
Nowadays the ubiquitous use of online and mobile collaboration tools enables participants in different locations to create knowledge and work together. This paper shares the results of the TalkTech project run in the last 7 years in which first-year introductory technology students from Bentley University in the United States and fourth-year multimedia students from Politehnica University of Timisoara in Romania worked together in an online global educational environment to research technology trends and create multimedia artifacts that shared their findings. Students met with their international partners over a period of four weeks in real time using voice, video, and chat) and asynchronously (via e-mail, forums, blogs, social media) to share their research on these popular technology trends. Based on the virtual mobility concept as „a set of ICT supported activities that realise or facilitate international, collaborative experiences in a context of teaching and/or learning“, the TalkTech project simulated the real-life work environment from a modern, global ICT company and encouraged students to use, in every year, more then 15 different web 2.0 or social media tools to accomplish the tasks. Students’ interaction on different social media and the importance of these interactions are analysed in this paper.

Learner Engagement is back in focus. With the majority of the global corporate workforce still #workingfromhome, several recent surveys indicate that #learnerengagement will be one of the top points to address for corporate L&D team.
While we all agree that Motivation and Practice are the two pillars of Learning Engagement, Learning at the Time of Need and Feedback are two factors that we can ill afford to ignore. Learning engagement also depends largely on the organizational culture, and the transition of L&D from an order taker to playing an active role by being a consultant/advisor is crucial for today's learning endeavors to be successful. Also, the active contribution of line managers and other similar stakeholders in the creation and curation of learning content is also essential.
It is with the aim to discuss and emphasize these factors that we present you with the top 20 quotes from the insightful conversations that Amit Garg - CEO of Upside Learning Solutions, who moderated the podcasts had with learning experts and features:

Top Quotes From Gamifications Experts On: Gamification Of Workplace LearningUpside Learning Solutions
The idea of “gamification” still leads to some raised eyebrows. Organisations tend to shy away from bringing gamification to learning due to a lack of clarity about what Gamification is, how to implement it and what benefits the organisation and the learners actually gain from it. Gamification is often viewed as unproductive, child-like, and even detrimental to the seriously performance oriented set ups, when in reality it potentially offers organisations with unique opportunities to engage and motivate learners towards desired actions and behaviour change.
With this series, we aim to bust the myths and misconceptions surrounding gamification and GoBeyond our understanding of gamification as an addition of points, badges & leaderboards to existing content. We also discuss examples and challenges with our experts who have been there and done that.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
