Ok Let get Started
e-Learning is a rapidly growing industry
Understanding eLearning is simple. eLearning is learning utilizing electronic technologies to access
educational curriculum outside of a traditional classroom. In most cases, it refers to a course, program or
degree delivered completely online.
There are many terms used to describe learning that is delivered online, via the internet, ranging from
Distance Education, to computerized electronic learning, online learning, internet learning and many others.
We define eLearning as courses that are specifically delivered via the internet to somewhere other than the
classroom where the professor is teaching. On like before that a class room must be on site
What is e-Learning
When it comes to online learning in education, the model has been pretty straightforward – up until the early
2000s education was in a classroom of students with a teacher who led the process. Physical presence was a
no-brainer, and any other type of learning was questionable at best. Then the internet happened, and the rest
is history.
Let relax ourselves
This video explains what E-learning is.
The speaker talks about Hannah, who
wants to offer training to different people
in various parts of Indonesia. Reaching
them all is not easy, especially in an
island nation.

Why e-Learning
They present resources, activities and interactions within a
course structure and provide for the different stages of
assessment
Some programs allow you to pay for the certification of the
course. These courses can count as college credits, while
others have value in the job market.

Educadium, Learn Worlds
E-learning platforms
E-learning can be useful for people who work a full-time job.
and others who cannot physically get to a school regularly.
Meaning that an instructor are always on standby to deliver
to it student
Ideal for many people
Subsequently, schools have replaced physical books with digital
content that students can easily access on their electronic
devices.
Goodbye paper – hello devices
Companies are more willing to give their employees access to
coaching or courses online rather than giving them permission to
access a physical class
Workers can receive the educational material simultaneously.
they can also study without having to physically go to a college,
without have to leave the workplace.
Employers keen on e-learning

What to look out for before you start e-Learning

So, what is ‘true’ e-learning? What’s its fundamental nature? What’s its DNA, so to speak? How do
you identify this elusive creature?, and what are the thing you are to look out for in choosing an e-

The first thing that you should look for in its lineage.
Is it born of ‘instructional design’?
Is its content (text, images, animations, interactivities,
assessments) designed to ‘instruct’ and facilitate learning?
Does it ‘talk’ to the learner? Does it focus on the learner?
Is it engineered to transfer knowledge and skills to the
learner?
If it is just communicating ideas and information (like a
PowerPoint presentation) or entertaining and titillating (like a
video or a podcast) or sits like a well-fed elf (like an e-book or
e-pub), it is not e-learning.

For the second characteristic, you need to delve deeper.
We all know intuitively that each of us learns differently.
We don’t need to search for empirical research to
validate what we know in our gut.
Some learn better by reading, some by hearing, some by
doing, and so on.
Good e-learning uses adequate stimuli to address
different types of learners, for those with an academic
bent – the visual, auditory, kinesthetic learners.
Does the course have a healthy balance of text, visuals,
interactivities, and audio? If not, it is not a thoroughbred.

Of e-learning
The most important ingredient for learning is the desire to
learn. Without enough motivation, no learning happens,
even if all other ingredients are A-1.
A lot of this motivation usually comes from the teacher in
a classroom, but in e-learning?
The course itself should supply it, maybe not as well as a
live teacher but enough to connect the learner with its
needs and goals.
Is the course telling the learner right at the outset how it
is going to make his or her life easy?
There is Always a Motive

Of e-learning
In spite of decades of research, we still don’t know
exactly how humans learn.
But we do know that there are certain essential elements
that need to be present for learning to happen, the most
important of them is motivation.
The next important element is the stimuli (course content).
Is the course content aligned to address the learning
objectives? Most times, you would find them not seeing
eye to eye.

Does the course have ‘formative’ assessments
strategically placed after each learning milestone?
Do these assessments give adequate feedback for both
right and wrong answers?
Also, is the final quiz or ‘summative assessment’ aligned
with the learning objectives and the course content? If
not, you should be shaking your head in disapproval.

E-Learning is usually for those courageous souls who
venture to learn all alone.
They need freedom to come and go as they please. Else,
it upsets them no end.
E-learning should have ‘intuitive’ navigation. In other
words, the learner should be able to move about the
course, easily, with very few instructions.
If you find a course that restricts free movement, you are
looking at the handiwork of a penitentiary warden.

Of e-learning
Well, you found an e-learning course that passed all the
above criteria. Is it a good e-learning?
Well, almost. Check for this last bit. After the learners
finish the course, they move back to their workplaces.
If they have a doubt or need to deepen their learning,
where do they go?
A high quality e-learning always includes ‘what next’ in
the form of resources, helpline and job aids to turn to
after their learning is complete.
This, then folks, is my two cents about how to identify a
true blue e-learning course from among myriad lower
level animals who slyly try to pass off as the true one. So,
next time someone presents you an ‘e-learning course’,
evaluate it based on what I have told you. Don’t say I

Why Has eLearning Become A Must-Have?
We can safely say that eLearning has become an absolute must in today’s world, because it provides learners with an exceptionally rich learning experience. But,
how has eLearning become such an important part of corporate training, and why is it rapidly growing in popularity?
The previously discussed reasons show precisely why eLearning is essential, and why a growing number of organizations are adopting that particular approach
to employee training. However, perhaps the most important reason why it has emerged as a must includes the fact that it significantly increases revenue and
Return On Investment (ROI).
Over 40% of companies say that eLearning has helped them to boost revenue levels, and the companies that offer training using technology (including eLearning)
have generated more than 25% higher revenue per employee.
Because of this, and all the other discussed benefits, it really doesn’t come as a surprise that eLearning has very quickly become an essential, especially in the
last 5 years. The introduction of microlearning, followed by social learning, adaptive learning, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and SaaS LMSs, all of which have
made it necessary for making flexible learning possible in an online environment.
This evolution of eLearning is precisely what has enabled organizations to embrace the full power of online learning, and take a huge step towards creating a
strong workforce of high-performance and collaborative employees who truly contribute to the success and growth of their business.
Advantages of e-Learning
Speeding Up Employee Training
It enables much faster delivery because employees can access eLearning
material anytime they want, and anywhere they are, setting their own pace and
training whenever they have spare time.
Cost Reduction
Cost reduction is often the main reason why companies switch from traditional
classroom-based training to eLearning. In-house training tends to be very
expensive, primarily because of the need for a professional trainer who will
deliver it and who will help employees improve their knowledge and skills.
Increasing Productivity
Self-paced online learning leads to much higher productivity since employees can
train at home, and then focus on their core tasks while at work. Learning in their free
time will lead to better performance and higher efficiency, especially because online
eLearning software will enable them to revisit any information they need, whenever
they need it.
Better Collaboration
Real-time collaboration and feedback provided by eLearning will help effectively
and address everyone’s strengths and weaknesses, and deal with skill gaps, its
learners to improve their skills and abilities, and ultimately enable them to
improve and grow.
disadvantages of E-learning
No self-discipline.
Slow evolution
No face-to-face interaction
People may switch off from fully engaging in the material and see the
activity as a tick box exercise..
there is no substitute for interacting with, and learning from, a fellow
human. Because it’s a free world where learners can do what they like
After an e-learning course is developed, it can take an inordinately long
time for any needed changes to be worked in.
It should be said that e-learning is effective for training process execution
and for imparting certain kinds of knowledge. However, real learning –
game changing learning – comes about through live connection with a
more experienced practitioner.
