This document reviews the efficacy of information interventions in reducing transfer anxiety for patients and families moving from critical care to general wards, assessing randomized controlled trials. A total of 266 studies were initially reviewed, with only 5 meeting inclusion criteria, leading to a sample size of 629. The findings confirm that informative interventions are effective, underscoring the importance of providing clear communication before transfer, while also noting limitations and biases in the existing research methodology.
