Reverse Engineering of Data Models from Legacy Spreadsheets-Based Systems: An...Porfirio Tramontana
Nevertheless spreadsheets were originally designed for computing purposes and for commercial applications, they are often used in industry to implement Information Systems, thanks to the functionalities offered by integrated scripting languages and ad-hoc frameworks (e.g., Visual Basic for Applications). This technological solution allows the adoption of Rapid Application Development processes for the quickly development of Spreadsheets-based Information Systems, but the resulting systems are quite difficult to be maintained and very difficult to be migrated to other architectures such as Database-oriented Informative Systems or Web applications. In this paper we present an approach for reverse engineering the data model from an Excel spreadsheet-based system in the context of a process of migration to a Web based application based on a MVC architecture. The proposed approach was successfully applied in a real context of a company operating in the automotive industry. The main contribution of this paper is represented by the Data Model Reverse Engineering activity that is the basis of the Migration process.

Data Warehouse:
A physical repository where relational data are specially organized to provide enterprise-wide, cleansed data in a standardized format.
Reconciled data: detailed, current data intended to be the single, authoritative source for all decision support.
Extraction:
The Extract step covers the data extraction from the source system and makes it accessible for further processing. The main objective of the extract step is to retrieve all the required data from the source system with as little resources as possible.
Data Transformation:
Data transformation is the component of data reconcilation that converts data from the format of the source operational systems to the format of enterprise data warehouse.
Data Loading:
During the load step, it is necessary to ensure that the load is performed correctly and with as little resources as possible. The target of the Load process is often a database. In order to make the load process efficient, it is helpful to disable any constraints and indexes before the load and enable them back only after the load completes. The referential integrity needs to be maintained by ETL tool to ensure consistency.

Microsoft Excel Dashboards and Their Features.pdfNitin
In today's data-driven business landscape, having a well-structured sales dashboard is paramount for tracking performance, making informed decisions, and driving growth. I'm excited to share with you my journey in creating a powerful sales dashboard using Microsoft Excel. This project showcases the incredible capabilities of Excel as a tool for data visualization and analysis.
This is a short description on the use of Excel in research project management. Excel can very well support small-scale, even multicenter, clinical trials in updating the status of the trials. For instance, its powerful reporting tools (such as PivotTable) enable users to generate quick statistical data for progress tracking.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
