A survey was sent to all 4th and 5th grade teachers at W.S. Lafargue Elementary to determine their professional development needs and preferences. The majority of teachers indicated that they would most benefit from and learn best from a hands-on professional development about classroom funding and Donors Choose during their weekly grade level meetings. Based on the survey results which showed a need for updated technology, the teacher decided to conduct a professional development session focused on Donors Choose classroom funding during the weekly meetings.

7. After receiving all results from the needs analysis and
collaborating with my principal, I have decided to conduct my
professional development based on the topic of classroom
funding with a focus on Donors Choose. The majority of my
co workers suggested this professional development take place
during our weekly grade level PLC meeting. I believe that most
of my co workers suggested this topic due to our outdated
technology. This is a quicker way to get the technology our
students deserve.
