audience more as little kids are loved more. They alos make the audience
feel creeped out and scared.
religious character- a religious character such as a priest in a horror film
makes the stroy more intense as he knows more about the demon throught
the religion.
symbols- symbols and signs are horror signifiers as they represent the devil
and symbols are the only way to show the devil is present.

self recording- characters in the movie recording themself and the scary
things happening around them makes the movie more real.
big house- a big house is a horror signifier because its ascary and creepy
because its harded to get away in the big house and there are more
chances of being more things in the house.
scary music- this makes the scenes more intense because the music is slow
then speeds up in a second which makes the audience jumpy.

deadly weapon- a knife used in a horror movie is a genre signifier becuase it
s used to kill the character which makes the whole scene more intense
because it makes the audience think about how they would react and feel if
they were being chased with the knife.
2. scary phone call- a phone call saying your going to die is used in a lot of
films because it makes the audience intimated and scared.
mask- masks are horror genre signifiers because it shows the audience the
person masked does not want his identity to be shown and wants it to be
secret.
