The Rule of Three
HOW TO TALK TO ANYONE
● Conversations exist in three parts.
○ Declaratives (facts or opinions being stated as facts).
○ Questions.
○ Qualifiers or “softeners”.
● The rule of three states that we should never say three declaratives in a row
without breaking them up with a question or qualifier.
This allows us to talk with people and not at them or to them.
