2. Analogue Editing
Analogue editing was all done by hand no computer is used. The editier would gather the shots and they would be put
on one film, they then took all the positive film used the slicer to cut the film then they were placed on a new film to
create cutaways. so Analogue editing was all editing used by hand cutting shots using hand and putting them together
using hand without any involvement of a computer .
Analogue was developed because during the time when editing came into eyes of the movie industry there wasn't any
high TEC computers to edit any films which means that they have to put together each shot and sequence . This
technique is used when putting together a finished film including different cuts to different parts of the film so it fits
together. Putting each shot together including cuts and other interesting technique which engages the audience and
makes there mind create a story of the shots put together .
There are many advantages and disadvantages with using this editing technique which is that doing this editing process
is longer because everything is done by hand which takes longer then if its done by computer also the cuts which are
done by a slicer makes the flow of the film a lot more jumpy which makes the film a lot me un relistic when watching.
An advantage is that there is a warm and natural sound when watching the film editing limitations discourage constant
tinkering and changing of audio. Which is also better when watching the film.
3. Digital editing
Digital editing is using computers to edit the shots together to create a film. By using comp you can use different effects
and add them into the film so the shots are smooth and the film and editing is better quality instead of cutting it by
hand.
