This document provides instructions for using Final Cut Pro video editing software. It explains how to open the software and import video clips. The main screen is described which contains the timeline and video preview screens. Clips can be arranged on the timeline without overlapping to avoid rendering errors. Text can be added by clicking where it is needed and selecting text. The last step mentioned is compressing the finished video project before uploading it.

- 2. • Once youhave clicked the icon a small box will appear and once it does you will have to wait. • Once the box has come up you'll have to click on the top left hand side ‘open’ if you have a project or ‘new’ if you do not.
- 3. • To uploadthe work onto the software click on the log and transfer icon in order to duplicate the clips from the video onto the software. • Once you have done that a box looking similar to this one will apear and once it does select all the clips.
- 4. • Here isthe main screen you will get once you open final cut pro. As you can see there is the timeline and two screens which one operates the movie and the other lets the editor see the clips. • Her you can see there is a sequence box. This is clips put together until to compress and make it a movie.
- 5. • As youdrag the clips on to the timeline make sure you don’t overlap the clips of the video will turn red meaning it will need to be rendered.

- 7. • As youcan see I have created text which is put between the clips. This is a simple step all you have to do is click wherever you want the text to be and then right click and click text.

- 9. • Here isthe last step and that is to upload the work. But before that in FCP we need to compress to movie so that it won’t take time to upload etc.
