This document summarizes a student's experience in an educational technology course at the University of Guam in Fall 2010. The student learned to use various technologies like Moodle, Google apps, blogging, video editing, and presentation tools. They collaborated with peers in Group 5 on projects, creating rubrics and digital stories. The course covered lesson planning, assistive technology, and the risks of overusing technology. By the end, the student felt they had gained expertise in educational technology and was ready to student teach, though sad to leave their group.

4. Everything Except… Thank Goodness for Dr. Jacqui Cyrus and ED-271Applications of Technology in Fall 2010….

5. And so begins my journey into Ed-Tech excellence…

6. First, I moodle’d some ideas on a Fox I foundcool,EvenEyeJot’ed a video email message on the first day of school.

7. Then, I google’d some appsTo collaborate with my peers,Group 5 was our name, oh dear!!

8. So out came some ideas and no place to store it,So we eBloggered and Diigo’ed a Delicious Listuntil we couldn’t ignore it.

9. Next, we wanted to present our ideas but with powerpointrestraint,So iMovie’d, Spiced and Prezi’d our nodes until…

10. We went back to Powerpoint and Slidesharedour presentations because we just could’twait!!

11. Then came learning of ASSURE-fire way to plan a lesson,So we told a Digital Story of how we planned to teach that session.

12. We even made a Rubric to Assess an Online Education Game,And Presented to class to show how it was definitely notLame.

13. And how we reflected…On the Microsoft School of the Future and Assistive Tech Themes,To understand how Educational TechnologyApplies to Enabling Dreams.

14. We then learned of the Darkside that technology can bring,That evil exists with constant cell phone rings.

15. I am satisfied with what I have learned and can say I am Educational Technology Richer…now if I could just have the courage to let go being a student… and move on to becoming aTeacher!
