2. Contents:
3 main ecological problems:
a) Water pollution;
b) Air pollution;
c) Deforestation;
Own ways of resolving problems.
3. Water pollution in Moldova.
A lot of people throw rubbish in some rivers or lakes and pollute the environment.
They don't think about animals or fishes, which drink this water and maybe it is their
last hope for survival, because only the clean water depends on the health of both
humans and animals . Moreover, polluted drinking water also causes economic
problems, because purification costs a lot of money.
4. A century ago, some rivers were navigable. Today, none of them are navigable
anymore. Fishing and swimming are not recommended in small rivers, in some
cases it is even illegal. Small rivers disappear every year, causing irreparable
changes in the environment. Currently, it is very dangerous to swim in rivers or
lakes, as you can catch an infection because of the contaminated environment.
5. Solving the problem.
1) Stopping the use of toxics in industry and agribusiness.
2) Teach children about pollution. It is a slow process but if students aren’t
learning the importance of protecting natural resources from parents and
grandparents, they must learn it in schools with their friends.
3) Respect community rights;
4) Treat wastewater at home.
6. Air pollution in Moldova.
Air pollution is one of the most dangerous forms of pollution. A biological, chemical,
and physical change of the air occurs when smoke, dust or any harmful gases enter into
the atmosphere and make it difficult for all living beings to survive. Burning of fossil
fuels, agriculture related activities, mining operations, exhaust from industries and
factories, and household cleaning products entail air pollution. Furthermore, Moldova
has factories, that pollute our environment.
7. Solving the problem.
1) Cleaning Smokestacks and Exhaust fumes;
2) Use of green energy sources;
3) It is necessary to refuse of nuclear energy, engines running on the coal and oil products.
4) The use of natural gas, wind, solar energy and hydroelectric power plants ensures the purity of
the atmosphere.
5) Biofuels can reduce the concentration of harmful substances in the exhaust gases.
8. Deforestation in Moldova.
World forest day is celebrated on March 21. The problem of forests saving is
today one the most important environmental challenges for all countries of the
world. Despite the fact that the level of afforestation is several times lower than
the average European norm, deforestation in large quantities is practiced in
Moldova.
9. Currently, it is officially allowed to obtain about 500 thousand m3 of wood per
year. The forest on the outskirts of the village Surucheny is a reserve area. There
are dozens of plants listed in the Red book. But it doesn't stop poachers. Age-old
oaks and ash trees are cut down under the root. All animals and plants of rare
species are die.
10. Solving the problem.
1) Plant a tree.
2) Organize actions to drain the land.
3) Protect them from erosion.
4) The government must help with enforcing forest preservation policies aimed at
saving the nature.
