ECDL can help renew 21st century education in 3 key ways: 1) By teaching students to correctly and responsibly use digital technologies, which is one of the essential 21st century skills. 2) By using digital tools that are familiar to students in order to change teaching methodologies to be more effective and efficient. 3) By aligning with the DigComp framework for digital competencies, ECDL can bring new consistency to education and help drive a double change in both teaching methods and the introduction of digital technologies into the classroom.
