Introduction  STaR (S)chool (T)echnology (a)nd (R)eadiness   This chart is a tool for integrating technology into teaching and the curriculum.      It measures how prepared schools are to effectively infuse technology into the 21st century classroom.

Area of Weakness: Educator Preperation and Development             This is considered Developing Tech Four different Tech categories: Early, Developing, Advanced, and Target.
Area of Strength: Infrastructure and Technology Infrastructure is established for successful integration of technology into the classroom.  2:1 comp/student ratio unlimited/continuous internet access  
What Does it All Mean? Everything is in place for the successful integration of technology into the classroom. We need to increase the amount of professional development offered, both on and off campus and both in and out of the classroom. We need to provide real time troubleshooting and assistance to those teachers who wish to increase the use of problem-solving and analyses-based technology applications on the classroom.
One Year From Now... Monthly, campus-based training during conference times or after school. At least one technology training during staff development half-days. Increased in-class assistance for the use of technology applications in the classroom.
