This document outlines the course content for the EC2354 VLSI Design course. The course covers 5 units: 1) CMOS technology, layout design rules, and manufacturing issues; 2) circuit characterization, simulation, power dissipation, and scaling; 3) combinational and sequential circuit design including latches, flip-flops, and synchronizers; 4) CMOS testing, design for testability, and manufacturing test; and 5) specification using Verilog HDL including behavioral modeling, structural description, and test benches. The course aims to teach VLSI circuit design and CMOS technologies over 45 class periods.
