Eat that Frog!
Learn how to stop procrastinating high value tasks that can move your life forward. This book discusses the importance of goal setting, creative procrastination, time management and creating priority ranking for all of your tasks.
This slideshow is a comprehensive overview of Brian Tracy's book Eat That Frog! The basic premise of Eat That Frog is that we should focus on the highest payback, least-appealing task of the day FIRST, before anything else. He asserts that "your ability to select your most important task at each moment, and then to start on that task and get it done both quickly and well, will probably have more of an impact on your success than any other quality or skill you can develop!”
According to the author, an average person who masters this one technique will run circles around a genius who talks a lot and makes wonderful plans, but gets very little done. (I know somebody like this, don’t you?)
Furthermore, he says that "The ability to concentrate on this one important task, single-mindedly, to do it well, and to finish it completely is the key to great success, achievement, status and happiness in life.”
Let's all go eat that frog!
I love Brian Tracy's use of quotes in the book, and have included many of them in the slideshow.
If you're looking to be more productive, stop procrastinating the important stuff (We can all use less procrastination, right?), start procrastinating more creatively (I like the sound of that!), and reach the goals you have yet to attain, I highly recommend utilizing this information!

Eat that Frog; there is this gap between common sense and common action or, in other words, the knowledge we have and what we do with it. To bridge this gap, I summarized this book. At times the book is giving the impression that working hard is the solution. But what I found it is pointing out that we always need the balance. We can only work a lot if we are able to balance it with an enriched life. The book is giving in 21 chapters strategies of how we can do more of the things which have the biggest impact in our lives. Afterall there are always more things than we can do. Thus, we have to find some strategies on how to choose those which are most important to us!

2. What is the meaning of Eat That Frog?
• This is the small outline of what is to eat that frog. So, in this book the author
has compared your most difficult and most important task or work as the
frog. Most of us are likely to procrastinate that work and it is the only one that
has the most impact on our life and results
• If you are suppose to eat the 2 frogs, then you should the most biggest and
ugliest frog first
• You must develop a daily routine of eating your frog before you do anything
else and without wasting much time
• Also, the best time of eating the frog will be early in the morning, Immediate
after you wake up, Because Eating a Frog, will be the most difficult thing for
you, And Nothing can be as worst as dealing with the biggest frog in a day.
Next is the eat that frog rundown
3. Summary Of Eat That Frog: 21 steps
• This is the summary of Eat That Frog.
• Eat that frog is the best book written on time management. In this
book, the author Brain Tracy gives us the 21 great ways to stop
procrastination and do more work in less time.
• The author of this book Brain Tracy is the author of more than 80
books. Out of this eat that fog is the International bestseller and
more than 1.6 million copies sold. This book was published in 2001.
• And this is the summary of Eat that frog 3rd edition which is updated
with two new chapters. Before starting the summary it is important
to know what is the meaning of Eat that frog?
4. 1.) Set the table
• Setting the table is one of the best ways to do work done. It is very
simple. This process is very easy and hardly takes 3 – 5 minutes.
By doing this, you do not waste time thinking about what you want
to do next
• Furthermore, by giving you 3 – 5 minutes you save up to 1 hour to 1
.5 hours in thinking what to do. For every task, you take up to 10
min to think. And there are more chances of not getting distracted
by doing this
5. 2.) Plan every day in advance
• Plan your to do list at night. You can maintain a book or a diary in
which you can write the tasks you are suppose to perform the next
day
• It is very important to write it down on paper because you don’t
have a photogenic memory and also, you are not supposed to
waste time thinking about what-to-do
• Even I try this technique to be more productive in my work. And it
really saves time
6. 3.) Apply the 80/20 rule to everything
• The Pareto Principle states that your 80% results come from the
20% of your work. So, you should focus on the 20% work which
gives you the 80% results
• And that 20% work is the most important and difficult work you are
suppose to do if you wants to achieve success at your work
• For example- 80% of software problems are caused by 20% of
bugs. Hence you should focus on how to remove that 20% bugs to
get an 80% good result
7. 4.) Consider the consequences
• Your most important work or task is that which has the most amount
of positive or negative impact on your work
• So, always go for it first
• Place on top that most important work in the to-do list and do it first.
Also, note that you’ll start with the hard task and end up with the
easiest one
8. 5.) Practice creative procrastination
• As I said in the above point that you should start with the difficult
task and end up with the easier one
• But you can also, procrastinate creatively, i.e. you can put off the
tasks which are not so important. The tasks which will not affect
your end results or output. Just don’t do that daily
• By doing this, you can get the more time in doing the most important
task and also do it effectively.
9. 6.) Use the ABCDE method continually
• You can place the tasks into A, B, C, D, or E next to each other in
the to-do list in front of each task. It means that prioritize your work
according to the letter
• A means the most important task, B means the tasks which are
lesser important that A, C means the task which has low value in
doing than B
• What if you have 2 or more tasks which are as important as A?
Then simply write it down and by writing “A-1,” “A-2,” “A-3,” and so
on in front of each task
10. 7.) Focus on key result areas
• Key results areas are the one skills that will help you to do work
more effectively. Identify them and work more on them. Always try to
improve your key result areas and put them into work
• For example, An editor’s key result areas are good editing skills, do
fast editing, and many more, Thus he should focus more on
improving them. Take a pen and paper and identify your key result
areas you can improve and prioritize as needed
11. 8.) Apply the law of three
• As I said in the above point that identify your key result areas you
can improve and prioritize as needed same you have to do in this
pot too. But the only difference is that you are suppose to identify 3
things to do in your work that account for 90% of your combination,
and focus on getting them done first before anything else
• By doing this you can you can achieve more and get free soon.
Also, you’ll get more free time to spend with your family, friends and
personal life.
12. 9.) Prepare thoroughly
• Preparing everything before you begin your work will definitely add
few hours in your free time. Like before sitting on your office desk
prepare everything like files, devices needed, book, peen, research
data and other required stuff
• By not doing this, you’ll get interrupted always and distraction will
come on your way. By preparing everything there is no need to get
up from your desk again and again and you’ll be consistent at your
work
13. 10.) Take it one oil barrel at a time
• There is an old saying that “by the yard it’s hard; but inch by inch,
anything’s a cinch!” The best way to overcome procrastination is
that, take one step at a time.
• Don’t try to do all the things at one time. Understand the work and
focus 100% on it
• If you feel that the work is too complicated or lengthy, then make a
list, write it down step by step and then complete the work
14. 11.) Upgrade your key skills
• Key skills are then one which will help you to make your work done
faster and in a smarter way. You should to focus on becoming more
knowledgeable and expert in your key skill area every day
• You should always focus on learning because life will never stop
teaching
• To educate yourself you can read books, purchase courses, read
blogs watch online videos, read newsletter and many more stuff
15. 12.) Identify your key constraints
• Identifying your key constraints will help you to do your work very
fast. Take a pen and paper and write all the key constraints that are
coming in your way and try to overcome those constraints step by
step
• If their is distraction to attraction other than your task then its fatal to
your success. For the prosperity and growth in your work, you need
to overcome those key constraints. Kill those constraints step by
step
16. 13.) Put the pressure on yourself
• By putting on pressure on yourself you trick your subconscious
mind to focus on you work and do it as soon as possible. Give
