What have you learnt about
technologies from the
process of constructing this
product?
 I used blogger to record each step from research, to planning, to
production, to editing. Before the project I had never used blogger
before nor any other blogging website. At the beginning of the
production and editing stage it was difficult to keep remembering
to update the blog. However it was convenient, once everything
was laid out correctly, as all of my work was in one place and easy
to find. It helped our group with the project as we could check
that each member of the group was up o date with what they had
to do, I would definitely used blogger again as it is an easy and
convenient website.
 For the editing of our final product, our group used
Amelia’s Apple Mac so we could use iMovie. None of us
had used iMovie much before but I had used premiere pro
and it was not much different. We picked up the skills
needed for basic transitions and lighting effects which is all
we really needed for our project. Learning iMovie was not
particularly challenging as it is easy to use and we did not
need to do any complicated special effects. Although easy to
use, the fact that we could only use it on Amelia’s laptop
was not convenient; it meant that if Amelia wasn’t in school
for a couple of days which did happen in the editing stage,
we couldn’t do any editing which set the group back
slightly. It wasn’t particularly helpful, I think it wasted some
time so on a different project I think I would suggest using
premiere pro on the school’s computers.
 This was the website from which we sourced
the soundtrack from. It had loads of royalty
free music on there. I had not used this site
before but it was very useful for quickly
finding the kind of sound we wanted which
made it very convenient as it didn’t waste
much time for our group. I would definitely
use it on another project as it is very easy and
quick whilst having loads of music to choose
from.
 We used this to email each other information about
what we needed to get done and also getting
legislation for different locations. I had used this before
so it was very easy and convenient to use. It helped us
hugely with not wasting time as we could quickly
communicate ideas and information about our project
and not have to wait until we saw each other in person.
I would use it for another project because it is a very
quick and simple way of communicating with different
people.
 We used YouTube to upload our drafts online
so we could then get them onto blogger. I had
not used YouTube to upload videos before so
this was a very useful skill to learn. It was
pretty easy once I had been shown what to do
and was very convenient because once one of
us had uploaded the video, the whole group
had access to it so it helped us not waste time
by the whole group doing it. I would use it
again as it was convenient and didn’t waste
any time.
