During the Dust Bowl there were a lot of dust storms
throughout the prairie lands of the US that destroyed the
farmland during the 1930s.

was a severe drought at the time so there was no rain, which did not let the
crops grow. So there was only dirt that was blown around during a time when
there were strong winds.

The Dust Bowl also made the Great Depression worse
because the US was left without a supply of food and many
people did not have jobs.
