Bowl?
The Dust Bowl is
also known as the Dirty
Thirties. A period of severe
dust storms that greatly
damaged the agriculture of
the US in the 1930. This
caused severe drought and a
failure to farm.
4. The Dust Bowl
Was the worst drought that the U.
S has had. Mostly affected the
Southern Plains and caused the
lengthening of the Great
Depression. 100 million acres of
land turned into wastelands.
5. The water levels dropped to 5 feet or lower.
The dust sometimes covered the sun and it
was so thick that people couldn’t see and
they soon became sick because they inhaled
so much dust.One- third of farmers left the
homes to find work in California.The
people caught in the dust storm had homes
that were now foreclosed and they also
didn't have any jobs because the storm had
killed the crops and began a drought
