This document summarizes a presentation on digital teaching and learning given to NCSLMA Directors. It discusses the Digital Teaching and Learning Division, the evolving role of libraries to support digital initiatives, and North Carolina's digital learning landscape and competencies. The competencies were drafted based on House Bill 23 and aligned with teaching standards. A timeline was provided for feedback, piloting, and applying the competencies to all educators by 2017-18. The presentation also discussed evolving library spaces to enable teacher collaboration and connected classrooms in support of digital learning.
