GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS AND GASTRITIS Osvaldo Bernardo Muchanga Gastrointestinal Infections GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS result from the ingestion of pathogens that cause infections at the level of this tract, generally being transmitted by food, water and hands contaminated by microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio cholerae, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus, Rotavirus among others that are generally contained in feces, thus configuring a FECAL-ORAL type of transmission. Among the factors that lead to the occurrence of gastrointestinal infections are the hygienic and sanitary deficiencies that characterize our markets and other places where raw or cooked food is sold, poor environmental sanitation in communities, deficiencies in water treatment (or in the process of its plumbing), risky hygienic-sanitary habits (not washing hands after major and/or minor needs), among others. These are generally consequences (signs and symptoms) resulting from gastrointestinal infections: diarrhea, vomiting, fever and malaise, among others. The treatment consists of replacing lost liquids and electrolytes (drinking drinking water and other recommended liquids, including consumption of juicy fruits such as papayas, apples, pears, among others that contain water in their composition). To prevent this, it is necessary to promote health education, improve the hygienic-sanitary conditions of markets and communities in general as a way of promoting, preserving and prolonging PUBLIC HEALTH. Gastritis and Gastric Health Gastric Health is one of the most relevant concerns in human health, with gastrointestinal infections being among the main illnesses that affect humans. Among gastric problems, we have GASTRITIS AND GASTRIC ULCERS as the main public health problems. Gastritis and gastric ulcers normally result from inflammation and corrosion of the walls of the stomach (gastric mucosa) and are generally associated (caused) by the bacterium Helicobacter pylor, which, according to the literature, this bacterium settles on these walls (of the stomach) and starts to release urease that ends up altering the normal pH of the stomach (acid), which leads to inflammation and corrosion of the mucous membranes and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively. In addition to bacterial infections, gastritis and gastric ulcers are associated with several factors, with emphasis on prolonged fasting, chemical substances including drugs, alcohol, foods with strong seasonings including chilli, which ends up causing inflammation of the stomach walls and/or corrosion. of the same, resulting in the appearance of wounds and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively. Among patients with gastritis and/or ulcers, one of the dilemmas is associated with the foods to consume in order to minimize the sensation of pain and discomfort.

Since our release of the PGx capabilities in VarSeq, we’ve had a few months to gather some insights from various use cases. Some users approach PGx workflows by means of array genotyping or what seems to be a growing trend of adding the star allele calling to the existing NGS pipeline for whole genome data. Luckily, both approaches are supported with the VarSeq software platform. The genotyping method being used will also dictate what the scope of the tertiary analysis will be. At this open hearing, people from all across America expressed their drug control polices. I am the drug Czar, and I am going to put into affect the one I would think will do the most for the young people around the United States. I have ten billion dollars to play with so I am going to listen to everyone speak and decide what to do. In this presentation I will look at the advantages and the disadvantages of all polices that are brought up and make up my mind at the end.
The first group to speak was the people that thought we should use the 10 billion on adding more law enforcement. When looking at this, it would take some of the stress off the other police officers so they could be doing other things. We could put more police on the borders to make sure people from other countries wont bring in drugs. With more police it would make communities safer then what they are now and it would put the people selling these drugs to our youths in prison for a while. In looking at the disadvantages I see with putting more people in jail and prisons this will put a lot more stress on our court system and on top of that it just might make the prison system worse then what it is now. I am the Czar for this paper so I have a computer with me to look things up. I just typed in War on drugs and guess what came up. The U.S. federal government spent over 15 billion dollars in 2010 on the war on drugs, at a rate of about 500 dollars every second { Drug Sense/Media Awareness Project Inc.2009 }. Ok we are on to the next group of people.
The next plan is to help put young people with drug problems into some kind of treatment programs. If we go with this plan it would help these people fight drug dependency and instead of being put in jail or prison they would go to a drug treatment program. The disadvantages to this idea are the young people that come out after treatment have a very low success rate and when you really think about it when these young people get out of these treatment programs the drugs are still there. The “ Fighting Back” anti-drug program is the blue print for most federally funded community drug-fighting coalitions. There's only one problem. It does not work.
There are many ways to look at this policy. When I look at the pros here I see the drug war its self has cost America more then drug abuse itself. 16 billion dollars in federal money alone was spent to fight drugs in 1998. Some people say that most illegal drugs are no more harmful then legal drugs such as cigarettes and alcohol and so they think that all drugs should be treated the same as these other drugs. Speaking in dollars, legalization would free up billions of dollars that the government now spends on police, the court system and our jails and prisons systems{ CliffsNotes.com}. Now the con part.1} Legalization of drugs would increase the number of users which, in turn, would increase the number of drug abusers. 2} Making drug legal would reduce economic productivity due to more drug-dependent workers{ CliffsNotes.com}.
Do we need more police to do the job? I think that it might be helpful if we had more police but would it really help? We have had a “ War on Drugs” since the 1990s, and it does not seem to be helping at all.
Again I think this is a very good idea but when these people get out of them the drugs are still there so then what? People need help with a lot of things and drugs are the number one problem as far as I think but building more treatment centers and providing more programs the answer?
Maybe more education and legalize all drugs would be the way to go. The more education part seems like a good idea and if we legalize all drugs the government would get more money from the tax on these drugs.
I have thought about all of the things everyone has said. All of them have some good points and some bad points and some very bad points. I did not choose to spend more money on community treatment programs because when these young people get out the drugs are still there and that’s why I did not choose that one. I also did not choose to legalize drugs but I do think a lot more education would help. Legalization of all drugs would just make things worse then they are now and the young people not doing them would have a better chance of really doing them. I choose to hire more police to patrol our borders watch large dealers, and have drugs raids here and across the ocean. I will also make drugs laws tougher { a lot tougher}. All drug dealers { even young drug dealers} will be in adult court and in the case of drug-related gang killings the death penalty will be imposed.
