I used questionnaires to determine my magazine's color scheme of red and yellow. The yellow text did not show well on the light background, so I changed it to gray. I kept yellow and red elements that fit with the black, white, and red photo I used on the double page spread.
For cover lines and bands featured, I researched popular rock bands and styles used in other music magazines. I included more bands on the contents page than the cover since not all would fit.
