Lead-in Pre teaching: Objective: To talk about interest and activities using present continuous Explain students what present continuous is and examples (verb –ing) Ask students what they are doing You could ask students to repeat the pronunciations of verbs Setting up the activity Form group of 2, facing each other. Hand out the pictures, making sure that in each pair there is one a A and one B picture. Students must undertand that they can no look at each other’s pictures. Explain the task simply and clearly. The student must find what is different between the 2 pictures by talking and describing(using present continuous), not by looking. First work individual and then in pair. Running the activity As students star doing the activity, walk around and monitor what they are speaking and take notes. Closing the activity Announce that everyone has one minute to finish, ask for doubts about the topic.
