  2. In this presentation we will look at direct marketing campaign, the methods of execution, cost and time involved, tips and alternatives to your direct marketing campaign.
  3. Introduction to direct marketing campaign Direct marketing is an extremely valuable tool which targets specific customers who have a high likelihood of purchasing your product. This type of marketing is low on cost and can be set up rather quickly.
  4. Cost and timeframe Direct marketing is a low cost scheme. Online campaign is much cheaper than print campaign as print campaigns require paper, ink, postage and handling costs involved. The main cost in an online campaign is leads in case you plan to buy them. It will take you a few weeks to prepare the initial set up like designing the campaign and collecting leads.
  5. Successful campaign execution The core of direct marketing is leads. You should find a source of leads, contacts and addresses which is reliable and will last as long as the campaign runs. You can also purchase leads or generate new through other campaigns. Remember to aim for a campaign which runs for a long time.
  6. Tips and tactics You can test your own strategies by performing a focus group testing to decide on a standard pattern to follow for the forthcoming campaigns. You must reuse the leads as much as possible but keeping in mind that they get fresh information. Offer rewards to customers who refer friends who turn out to be a potential sale.
  7. Alternatives to consider Search engine advertising works by matching advertisements with related content and places them along side search results on the users screen. This form is a great add on to direct marketing campaigns.
