  • In this presentation we will look at incentive marketing, a suggested action plan, the cost and time it takes and techniques along with alternate mediums for running your campaign.
  • Introduction to incentive marketing Incentive marketing is a fun and exciting way to boost sales and motivate and reward your sales team and customers by offering prizes, gifts, discounts, rewards, premiums, and other incentives for meeting quotas or making purchases. Incentive marketing can also include contests which offer rewards or chances to win prizes as a result of specific behavior.
  • How does it work ? Your incentive program can be designed for employees or customers, and the rules and definitions of who qualifies for what should be outlined and clearly defined up front. You can also contract a professional agency to bring knowledge and resources that you may not have.
  • Cost and time frame for results Whether your rewards are something as simple as discounts on products, t-shirts, or something more enticing like vacations, cash prizes, scaling your prizes to your company&apos;s size will ensure that your customers and employees are rewarded in conjunction to the size of your business. Contests and giveaways should be given time to work, while other programs, such as offering large discounts for bulk sales can be instituted almost immediately.
  • Tactic for better results When someone does qualify for a prize or reward, a big deal should be made about it. When implementing one of these programs, issuing a press release is another good way to get some more free publicity from your program. Finally, be innovative. For example, something as simple as packaging different products together could lure a customer into making a purchase.
  • Alternate mediums You can combine your incentive program with referral marketing in which people are encouraged to recommend products and services for your company in exchange for commissions, fees, discounts, prizes, or other rewards.
