Dinosaurs were a diverse group of reptiles that lived approximately 230 million years ago to 65 million years ago, spanning several continents. They exhibited a wide range in size, from the 80 ton Brachiosaurus to smaller varieties, and were generally herbivores that lived in social groups and communicated vocally and visually. Dinosaurs eventually went extinct and did not coexist with humans.
