1. Using blogs and Slideshare to gain a more technical/creative approach with the A2 coursework which we did not use on the AS. These we presented creatively in the form of PowerPoints/essays/mind-maps/highlighting/voiceovers/video blogs. Use of camera work (in my AS I used a tripod but in my A2 I used handheld to suit the genre), the positioning and movement of the camera improved because I looked further into how camera angles effected representation. Also the lighting that I used in my A2 improved and was manipulated in the camera work, creating an eerie atmosphere. One of the big helps on the internet was YouTube as it gave me the opportunity to view other peoples short films and many other helpful videos that enhanced my understanding of the production I was making. The benefits of using DV tapes and handheld cameras, was that I could record many different shots with different styles and techniques. Therefore knowing that I will have more than enough shots to produce my film. Digital Technology The need to be more creative in my A2 production was influenced by digital technology through the blogs we had to present our coursework with.This helped with the construction of the coursework as it increased my knowledge in the technology and presentation of my product, for example using a different approach such as audio recordings and video blogs. The editing software didn’t improve from my AS, I had originally used Adobe however in my A2 I used Windows Movie Maker because of technical difficulties and lack of time. I used all non-diegetic sound in my A2 whereas in my AS I used a combination of diegetic and non-diegetic.

3. Handheld Camera. Allowed me to create the eerie atmosphere I needed to suit the genre of film I had chosen with the shaky shots at sometimes odd angles.

4. Using Blogs. Using the blogs online was a good way of keeping all my pre and post production work in order and in one place, it also meant that I could easily refer back to my research and planning at any time.

5. DV Tapes. Cheap and useful, I could record a large amount of rushes on just one tape and use only half of them in my final edit. Made it a lot simpler when it came to editing.

6. Windows Movie Maker. Alternative editing software to Adobe, I was short on time and although not as advanced as Adobe I thought it was just as good and got the job done.

7. Lack of Equipment. All I had in terms of technology was a handheld camera for filming, I used good props however for filming I did not use a tripod, whilst I liked the eerie effect handheld produced it would have been better to have a few shots set up with a tripod. The shots could have been improved.

8. Editing. I had some technical difficulties with the editing as I could not get Adobe Premier Pro to work and so with a shortage of time I resorted to Windows Movie Maker which was a lot more basic, after this my film would not upload to YouTube or my blog because of a technical fault.
