Digital Storytelling
      By: Hector Valle
Storytelling
• Stories are a major part of our lives
• They are incorporated into our learning,
  entertainment, and culture.
• For example: Think of the last time that
you sat down for dinner with you family
and they asked you how your day went
• You have to create a story to explain it
Explanation
• Stories explain and give details
• For example, during your dinner
conversation your family may ask “how was
  the weather”.
• This is a very important detail that helps
  explain how your day was.
• “It was raining and it ruined my day”
Digital

• Tell your stories with digits (1&0’s)
• This keeps it secure and easily deliverable
• It can be easy to forget a story
• Digital tools help remember and deliver
  your story
Digital Education
• Digital explanation (storytelling)
• Incorporate John Kellers ARCS Motivational
  model

  interactive presentations

  to make videos

on the computer for quick video editing

find a lot of free ones

  actions

  accessible to your students.
