The document discusses the design of various album covers and posters meant to depict the effects of drug use, particularly LSD. Photoshop techniques like posterizing and adding gradients were used to create hallucinatory effects on the skin and surroundings of the subject, Amy. Quotes and song titles allude to psychedelic drugs and experiences to fit the theme. Poses and compositions aim to portray paranoia, diva-like behavior, and a spaced out mental state common to drug use. Attention was paid to graphic design principles like rule of thirds to effectively convey information to viewers.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. As our song is about drug abuse in particular
LSD I decided that my should show the effects
of taking LSD in this case hallucinating an
seeing colours. I asked Amy to stand in this
way because it makes the audience think
something is chasing her by someone or that
she is just being paranoid which is making her
believe she is being chased by something.
Paranoia is another effect of LSD.
I used Photoshop to give this cartoon effect. I
used the posterize tool to give Amy’s skin a
waving effect. The waving skin creates the
image of her skin crawling or it could just
another hallucination. I also used the gradient
tool on Amy and the background. I added
colour to Amy’s body because I wanted her to
think that she in some was hallucinating about
being the only one in colour and that she was
draining the colour from everything else. I
used these techniques on all my pictures.
3. Instead of this picture being about the
effects of drugs I thought I should show
off Amy’s Diva side so I made her do a
number of poses until we found the shots
that best reflected her diva side. However
because I wanted this cover to look
authentic so I included a quote from the
artist.
“I made this album in homage to my heroes
the Beatles, yellow submarine and the
strawberry fields are two of my favourite
tracks of all time.”
I used the Beatles because they quite famously
made an album about their experiences
when they took the drug called acid.
Yellow submarine and the strawberry fields
are two of the more famous songs from
that album.
4. On this cover I decided to make Amy
look as though she has spaced out
which is common in most drugs they
allow you to create your own little world
where you block out everything around
you. This is what I tried to show in this
picture. I also like this picture because it
makes the audience think what is she
looking at.
5. I tried to show off Amy’s diva side on
this picture. i wanted it to look like
the one million perfume
advertisements. In these
advertisements the characters snap
their fingers and the characters get
want they want. This is true of most
divas if they usually get everything at
the snap of a finger.
6. In this picture I asked Amy to move here
head while I took this picture. I did this
because I wanted it to look like another
hallucination in this case the hallucination
is that she thinks that she is moving faster
than everything around her.
7. This picture is very similar to the first
inside cover. I tried to show off her
diva side and most divas make
themselves look sexy so for this
picture I asked Amy to pull a series of
sexy poses until I found the best one.
8. On this cover I decided to make Amy
look as though she has spaced out
again. I also placed the song list
next to her because it makes the
audience think she is looking at the
list of songs
I also had to come up with a list of
song names. So I decided as the
song we chose was about drugs we
decide that the other song titles
should have a similar theme. I also
cut out the bar code and disc logo
out from another album cover. I did
this to make my album look more
official like it had been produced by
a record company.
9. In this picture I tried to show Amy’s paranoia I
tried to give the person looking at the poster the
sense that Amy is being watched.
When designing the poster I tried to follow the
rule of thirds. I made sure that the title was at the
top of the post . This then directs the viewers
attention strait to the top of the poster so they
know who is on tour. The viewer’s attention is
then direct to the picture of Amy. By doing this
the viewer now knows who Amy is. Finally I put all
the information about where the concert is taking
place, what days it will be on and where to go to
buy tickets. Originally I had this information over
Amy’s face but I fount that you couldn’t read the
information clearly and that it obstructed Amy's
face to much.
