Throughout the conceptual music video, the director uses various camera shots and techniques to tell the story. Some of the key shots included establishing shots to set the scene, tracking shots to introduce the characters, and frequent close-ups of Lady Gaga's face to show her emotions. Costumes changed dramatically throughout to create unusual and tense effects. The setting shifted between the cold outdoors and a dark, mysterious indoor space. Sound effects like stomping feet and blizzards added to the unsettling tone, while editing techniques such as flashbacks, continuity, and slow motion enhanced the experience.

Slimmed down fragment screening library talk presented at University of Adelaide (Dec 2011) and Pharmaxis (Feb 2012). Includes dingo and Maria Sharapova (losing finalist at 2012 Australian Open). The photo for the title slide is of a range finder from the Admiral Graf Spee and was taken in Montevideo.
4. Sound At the start of the video we can see that the dancers are stopping their feet. As the video starts to kick in , the sound of their feet is heightened to create a effect where the audience feel quite tense and on edge. This type of sound is diagetic sound as its natural . As the stomping gets faster we can also hear the drums start to join and every time the they stomp their feet it matches the beat of the drum . I could also pick out the sound of a blizzard , which was only slight but let the audience believe the weather was bad and not warm and sunny. The other sound was the music. I could hear drums and the piano all throughout the video and this was to make the song sound more professional.
