Democracy is a form of government where everyone has equal rights and can vote for their leaders. Non-democracy does not allow voting or equal rights, and power lies with the government rather than the people. In a democracy, people have freedom of speech and can live as they choose, while in a non-democracy personal freedoms are sacrificed and people have no voice. The key rights in a democracy include freedom of expression, fair elections, independent judiciary, and free media, whereas in a non-democracy people cannot change leaders or criticize the government and freedom of press is denied.
