The United States longest and bloodiest war was the Vietnam War, which was fought from 1959 until
1975.(Communist Manifesto 1) In this war 57,685 Americans were killed, and their were over 2

commonly held American belief called the Domino Theory. This theory stated that if the U.S. allowed
one country to fall to communism, those around it would fall, and then those around it, eventually

This occurs on line 5, where the author depends on imagery to enlighten us. The line reads leaf
blooms, burns red before delighted eyes , the blooming or opening of leaves is a direct parallel to
humans opening up their minds in order to learn something new. But at the end of the line we notice
that the leaf itself dies, the poet uses the dying leaf as a parallel to our former ideas dying. Because our
minds were opened up to something new, whatever former opinion we had died off when new
information on a subject is presented. This is just one part of the learning process so Pack separates it
from the other parts with the use of a comma. After the comma, comes the action of understanding the
information presented to us. Whatever the reader sees is burning red and their eyes are left delighted
which means the onlooker took interest to what they saw developing before them. Pack uses this line
filled with imagery in order to set a precedent to his readers. He wants us to open our minds to the
meaning of the poem and that fact we can find all answers in our own questions if we only depend on
ourselves.

Igor Sikorsky widened the field of aviation throughout his life with inventions that caught the interest
of the world. In the early 1920 s, after successfully building a four engine biplane, Sikorsky began his
work on amphibian aircraft. The aircraft proved to be versatile with its ability to take off and land on
an airstrip or in the water. Sikorsky increased the size and maximum range of his designs until
producing the S 42 Flying Clipper. His line of amphibian planes became the precursor to commercial

Spartacus, 1960, is a film directed by Stanley Kubrick based on the Novel Spartacus by Howard Fast.
The film follows the life of a slave named Spartacus who fought for his own freedom which led to the
Third Servile War. The Third Servile War, also named the War of Spartacus, was slave insurrections
against the Roman Republic. Although Spartacus s main enemy is all of Rome and its culture, like
most heroes portrayed in film, Spartacus s main antagonist is a Roman senator Marcus Licinius
Crassus, whose ultimate goal is to become dictator of Rome. However, does the film Spartacus follow
closely to historical facts, or is it another film dramatized to entertain the public as Hollywood does?
Hollywood dramatizing historical events in history is not necessarily considered a bad thing. But how
far will Hollywood go to dramatize historical events in order to entertain the public? With the addition
of Hollywood flair, it removes the impact that film had on Spartacus according to historical accuracy.
