We view our core competences from 4 principal Practice Areas – which can be considered as 4 logical layers: Telecom is one of our core competences and one of the largest practice areas (30+% of our business). This whole area could in a simplistic way be considered as the provisioning of communications, connectivity and content in modern society and is as such the foundation for today's use of Information Technology for all individuals and all businesses. DEVOTEAM work for telecom operators, equipment manufacturers, new communications providers like electricity companies and media and content providers. Our core competence is the entire telecommunications infrastructure including access networks, core networks , related services and all the telecommunications devices. We help operators implement and improve their whole suite of business applications (their Service Platform) necessary for running a telecom company in a broad sense ( also typically called: the operational and business support systems ). Furthermore, the entire convergence (technology convergence, convergence between actors in the industry) in the industry is a main topic where DEVOTEAM are specialists and heavily involved. This includes among other subjects Telecom Devices and their related IP Services and IP Applications ICT Infrastructure is another core competence where we are market leader in Europe. This practice area constitutes more than 30+% of our business. This discipline covers the management of information technology systems from enterprise networks to Workstations, Servers and Storage and the related basic IT applications to the entire set of processes to manage the entire IT infrastructure (IT Service Management) and its resources including systems and shared service centres. The ICT Infrastructure practice area bridges from the hard core technology issues to monitoring the performance and costs of the entire infrastructure IT Service Management is a key element in ensuring the provisioning of the required basic IT infrastructure foundation in a cost effective way. Information Systems & Information Management. This Practice Area is covering Information Management including selected business applications and the related business data (In particular Enterprise Content Management is a key subject including Electronic Document Handling, Web applications etc)) . In today's complex and sophisticated IT setup it becomes more and more important to have an ”Enterprise Architecture” as a management practice for aligning resources to improve business performance. The architecture helps simplify and make the interconnection and integration of business applications and data possible and cost effective. Modern Enterprise Architecture is a sophisticated subject that bridges from the Business Strategy to modelling and designing related business processes and all the way into the technical architecture and related platforms, frameworks etc. Without the appropriate architecture the Business might lack flexibility in its ability to scale their business, develop the relevant business logic to support the business and to keep the cost of maintaining the business IT applications at a reasonable cost level. Furthermore, IT Governance is a key subject to help establishing a suitable governance policy and ensuring the right strategy, IT organisation and management involvement in decisions and governance of the IT matters.
