Evaluation
What did you like about your images?
The first image I like because it was hard to do but the end result turned out better
then I thought it would. I like how it looks like my bird’s looking off into the distance
and the detail in its stomach that shows how the sun’s shining on it. The second image
I like because it was simple but can still have the same quality of an image that might
be harder to do.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I did it again, I would probably add more detail to the house and maybe some
texture to make it look more like a real house. With the bird, I would try and add more
detail to the wings to show where the feathers would be and try and add in its feet.
Rotoscope
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how my image looks like the person that it was done from and shows the
different parts of his clothes and where they meet. I also like the darker
What would you improve if you did it again?
I would use a clipping mask to add texture onto his vest and shirt to show what kind of
texture they would have.
Film Quotes
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how the image relates to the quote above it and can kinda tell people what the
film is about.
What would you improve if you did it again?
I would chose a better image, one that maybe shows what the film is about a little
better.
Text Based
Text Based
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how each text has a different effect and stands out from each other as well. I like
how my larger text has multiple DC characters actually as the letters and that the
image keeps its quality.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I was to improve anything, I would try and make the text bigger so that more of the
image could be shown.
Comic Book
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how it makes an image from a film look like it’s straight from a comic book
instead.
What would you improve if you did it again?
I would try to use different features to try and make the comic effect more obvious
and make the whole image stand out more
Photo Story
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how anyone reading it could guess at what the story is by what is already shown,
I also like how simple it is and how easy to see the order that the images appear in. I
like how I changed the speech bubble so that the reader knows what’s speech and
sounds.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I was to improve anything, I would try to add more detail onto the Flash and Reverse
Flash to make it look like they’re running at super speed.
Illustration
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like that I used the logos from The Flash and Arrow and that I could cross them over
What would you improve if you did it again?
I would work to make the images more accurate and add some colour in
Narrative Environment
Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how the castle looks like it could go straight into a story book. I also like how the
dimensions make it look 3D and how the perspective of the bridge looks lie you’re
about to walk down it.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I was to improve my image, I would add some detail onto the castle like shadows
and brick work to make it look more realistic and authentic.

Mood board of chosen idea
Proposal
Dimensions
My book will have 19 pages; one cover page and 18 others with the image and text on
separate pages. My book will be 22cm x 26cm so that its in the shape of a rectangle,
which allows me to add more into the image
Story Overview
(Provide an outline of your story)
I will follow the same story set set around Robin Hood, but I will make him more
dangerous and work alone. The story will have some aspects of the TV show Arrow, as
my character will only operate at night and has a more violent attitude.
Export Format
Jpeg
Advantages: allows the images to be easily seen and doesn’t loose quality when
resized
Disadvantages: no other changes could be made and the images could fail when being
uploaded
Deadline
22/04/16
Audience
(Think about who you are targeting as your audience. Consider age, gender, class,
location and other characteristics which could define your audience.)
The age that my book would probably be for would be ages 6-12, the gender would
most likely be male, the class would be anyone since there isn’t a social group that
my book would belong too, the location could be anywhere really.
Production Methods
(Explain the methods you are going to use to produce your pages. Show us the
thinking behind your decisions for a more detail response)
I will use real life images and rotoscoping them so they look more appropriate to my
book and so I can also change anything in the image if I don’t like it. Rotoscoping my
images will also make it easier to position them once they’re complete and easier to
align them with other characters/objects when completed.
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
It has a strong outline to the basis of what your
ideas for the piece are.
The story outline needs to be more in depth as
many people will not be familiar with the TV show
arrow and other stories about robin hood, like add
character names and a basic set up. Maybe add
detail to what you are going to do during production
as it is a little bit vague.
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
There are several good initial ideas which could
have worked as separate books, the Archer idea
was well developed with several descriptions listed
for him.
Each needed a bit more thought to it as it was quite
obvious you had already decided what you wanted
to do and other stories had little thought to them.
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
• A clear understanding about what they want in
they story
• Who it is for and why
• Already thinking what they want it to look like
• go more into depth, why this would be a good
idea
• Say why you are only doing 16 page and why it
is 22cm x 26cm
• Add one more advantage and disadvantage
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
• Has a idea of what they character will look like
• Where the story will be set
• Has different ideas for story's other then his
main one
• Look into different styles and art to show you
have a wide range of ideas
• Add images of font you might use onto the
mood board
• Do a mind map on you main idea and explore it
in detail
What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
The strengths of this proposal are that you have
explained what you are doing and it is clear.
You have also explained what your dimensions are.
I think that you are going to have to add way more
detail on the back story of the characters and the
whole environment, as you haven’t explained the
story very well at all.
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
The strengths of the idea generation is that you
have made it clear about, the story you are doing.
I think that you could of added more on your mind
map and add the fonts you will be using.
Feedback Summary
Sum up your feedback.
The feedback I received tells me that the main story I described was good and that the
characters would work well within the story and how I needed to add more detail into
other parts of the proposal and idea generation
Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why?
I agree with the parts where I need to add in more detail in parts of my proposal
because they’re not as detailed as they could be
Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why?
I don’t agree with the parts where I needed to add a font in because I might eave the
font until the images have been done

Development pro forma(3)1

  • 4. Evaluation What did you like about your images? The first image I like because it was hard to do but the end result turned out better then I thought it would. I like how it looks like my bird’s looking off into the distance and the detail in its stomach that shows how the sun’s shining on it. The second image I like because it was simple but can still have the same quality of an image that might be harder to do. What would you improve if you did it again? If I did it again, I would probably add more detail to the house and maybe some texture to make it look more like a real house. With the bird, I would try and add more detail to the wings to show where the feathers would be and try and add in its feet.
  • 6. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like how my image looks like the person that it was done from and shows the different parts of his clothes and where they meet. I also like the darker What would you improve if you did it again? I would use a clipping mask to add texture onto his vest and shirt to show what kind of texture they would have.
  • 8. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like how the image relates to the quote above it and can kinda tell people what the film is about. What would you improve if you did it again? I would chose a better image, one that maybe shows what the film is about a little better.
  • 11. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like how each text has a different effect and stands out from each other as well. I like how my larger text has multiple DC characters actually as the letters and that the image keeps its quality. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to improve anything, I would try and make the text bigger so that more of the image could be shown.
  • 13. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like how it makes an image from a film look like it’s straight from a comic book instead. What would you improve if you did it again? I would try to use different features to try and make the comic effect more obvious and make the whole image stand out more
  • 15. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like how anyone reading it could guess at what the story is by what is already shown, I also like how simple it is and how easy to see the order that the images appear in. I like how I changed the speech bubble so that the reader knows what’s speech and sounds. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to improve anything, I would try to add more detail onto the Flash and Reverse Flash to make it look like they’re running at super speed.
  • 17. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like that I used the logos from The Flash and Arrow and that I could cross them over What would you improve if you did it again? I would work to make the images more accurate and add some colour in
  • 19. Evaluation What did you like about your image? I like how the castle looks like it could go straight into a story book. I also like how the dimensions make it look 3D and how the perspective of the bridge looks lie you’re about to walk down it. What would you improve if you did it again? If I was to improve my image, I would add some detail onto the castle like shadows and brick work to make it look more realistic and authentic.

  • 24. Proposal Dimensions My book will have 19 pages; one cover page and 18 others with the image and text on separate pages. My book will be 22cm x 26cm so that its in the shape of a rectangle, which allows me to add more into the image Story Overview (Provide an outline of your story) I will follow the same story set set around Robin Hood, but I will make him more dangerous and work alone. The story will have some aspects of the TV show Arrow, as my character will only operate at night and has a more violent attitude. Export Format Jpeg Advantages: allows the images to be easily seen and doesn’t loose quality when resized Disadvantages: no other changes could be made and the images could fail when being uploaded
  • 25. Deadline 22/04/16 Audience (Think about who you are targeting as your audience. Consider age, gender, class, location and other characteristics which could define your audience.) The age that my book would probably be for would be ages 6-12, the gender would most likely be male, the class would be anyone since there isn’t a social group that my book would belong too, the location could be anywhere really. Production Methods (Explain the methods you are going to use to produce your pages. Show us the thinking behind your decisions for a more detail response) I will use real life images and rotoscoping them so they look more appropriate to my book and so I can also change anything in the image if I don’t like it. Rotoscoping my images will also make it easier to position them once they’re complete and easier to align them with other characters/objects when completed.
  • 26. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? It has a strong outline to the basis of what your ideas for the piece are. The story outline needs to be more in depth as many people will not be familiar with the TV show arrow and other stories about robin hood, like add character names and a basic set up. Maybe add detail to what you are going to do during production as it is a little bit vague. What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed? There are several good initial ideas which could have worked as separate books, the Archer idea was well developed with several descriptions listed for him. Each needed a bit more thought to it as it was quite obvious you had already decided what you wanted to do and other stories had little thought to them.
  • 27. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? • A clear understanding about what they want in they story • Who it is for and why • Already thinking what they want it to look like • go more into depth, why this would be a good idea • Say why you are only doing 16 page and why it is 22cm x 26cm • Add one more advantage and disadvantage What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed? • Has a idea of what they character will look like • Where the story will be set • Has different ideas for story's other then his main one • Look into different styles and art to show you have a wide range of ideas • Add images of font you might use onto the mood board • Do a mind map on you main idea and explore it in detail
  • 28. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work? The strengths of this proposal are that you have explained what you are doing and it is clear. You have also explained what your dimensions are. I think that you are going to have to add way more detail on the back story of the characters and the whole environment, as you haven’t explained the story very well at all. What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been further developed? The strengths of the idea generation is that you have made it clear about, the story you are doing. I think that you could of added more on your mind map and add the fonts you will be using.
  • 29. Feedback Summary Sum up your feedback. The feedback I received tells me that the main story I described was good and that the characters would work well within the story and how I needed to add more detail into other parts of the proposal and idea generation Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why? I agree with the parts where I need to add in more detail in parts of my proposal because they’re not as detailed as they could be Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why? I don’t agree with the parts where I needed to add a font in because I might eave the font until the images have been done
