The original Little Red Riding Hood story involves a young girl visiting her grandmother with cake and wine. On the way, she meets a wolf who tricks her and eats the grandmother. When the girl arrives, the wolf is in disguise in the grandmother's bed. The woodcutter later saves the girl from the wolf. The summary highlights the key plot points of the girl meeting the wolf, the wolf eating the grandmother, and the woodcutter rescuing the girl at the end.

What's next after omnichannel? A customer centric approach to retail. Mark Th...StrongPoint
Retailers around the world have faced more change in the last 5 years than in the previous 25, mainly due to a shift in power from the retailer to the consumer. Most of this is as a result of consumer technology allowing shoppers to access information about products and to buy on line from a far wider choice of retailers. In itself, this technology has also undergone change, from desktop PCs to mobiles. So, is it all about managing channels to create an Omnichannel offering, or are retailers now facing a new reality where retail needs a re-design. In this session, we explore what some retailers are doing to create a single approach to the customer across all channels and platforms.

To begin our lecturers, Marc Dusseiller aka "dusjagr" and Rodrigo Martin Iglesias, will give an overview of their transdisciplinary practices, including the history of hackteria, a global network for sharing knowledge to involve artists in hands-on and Do-It-With-Others (DIWO) working with the lifesciences, and reflections on future scenarios from the 8-bit computer games of the 80ies to current real-world endeavous of genetically modifiying the human species.
We will then follow up with discussions and hands-on experiments on working with embryos, ovums, gametes, genetic materials from code to slime, in a creative and playful workshop setup, where all paticipant can collaborate on artistic interventions into the germline of a post-human future.
4. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like the simplistic design of my images.
Another thing I like Is that the shape of the animal for
image 2 was done well and it is a clear identifiable shape.
What would you improve if you did it again?
One thing I would do to improve is to add more detail and
add shadowing.
One thing I would do to the second image is to try add
more detail so I can use the texture in a different way. I
want to do this because at the moment the texture
doesn't’t really stand out and it is not clear what it is.
9. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
One thing I like about my images Is the facial hair and eyes
that I have created.
What would you improve if you did it again?
I need to finish off image 2. I need to add in more detail
around the face and neck.
If I had more time I would of liked to do more features in
greater detail for image 1. In particular I need to add detail
around the chin because at the moment it looks blank.
11. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
One thing I liked about this image is the black lines I have
added to the image to make the characters look more like
cartoons.
What would you improve if you did it again?
One thing I would do to improve my image is to add black
lines around the rest of the image so it makes it look
more like a cartoon image.
I need to incorporate the quote into my image.
16. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I liked the different styles for the text. I also like
how I used my name and something I am
interested in to make the text
What would you improve if you did it again?
To improve my image next time I would pick a
bigger text so you can the see the image I used
for the clipping mask more clearly.
21. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
I like how I have used contrasting colours to make the characters stand out.
I like the use of bright colours as they make it more visually appealing to look
at and it catches your eye.
What would you improve if you did it again?
One thing I would do to improve my images would be to make he edges more
simplistic and this would hopefully give the images a better comic book effect
and less photorealistic.
Another thing I would do to improve is to cut out the characters more
carefully.
23. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
One thing I like about my image is the cartoon layout I have put them
in. I have done this by using a stroke around the images and using the
marquee tool to crop sections images.
Another thing I liked about my images if the use of the cutout filter to
make my images look more like they are in a comic book. I also copied
the image and adjusted the threshold and made it an overlay to give
detail in part of the images.
What would you improve if you did it again?
If I were to do my images again I would make my story simple so it is
easy to understand at a glance.
Another thing I would do if I were to do it again and if I had a lot more
time is to rotoscope my images. This would give my images a unique
look and it would be more my own work as opposed to just putting a
filter on my images and adjusting the threshold to add detail.
28. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
One thing I like about my image is that I have
created a range of different characters. This is
useful to me because it is going to help my decide
what style I am going for in my book.
What would you improve if you did it again?
One thing I would do to improve next time is to
focus on one drawing and try drawing in mutiple
different styles. I think this would have been a
better technique to find out what style to go with
for me book.
30. Evaluation
What did you like about your image?
One thing I liked about my image is that I used
multiple techniques to create my environment. I
have used the shape tool and comic book effect
and I think by using the techniques together it
makes the desert look more realistic and adds
depth to the image.
What would you improve if you did it again?
One thing I would do to improve if I were to do it
again would be include more detail in the
background of the image. If you look at the
foreground you can see the direction of the sand
and I would do that for the background.
34. I have chosen these images because I like the visual style and how the wolfs have human
features such as standing upright. I am going to do this in my book to make my character
more human like and relatable. I also like how block colour has been used. I am going to
do this in my book because I think it is a simple technique to do so it will be quick to do
and I will be able to complete my book on time and I also think block colours looks nice.
From the hunters I have looked at they all seem to carry an axe. I have decided not to do this
despite the fact it is the popular thing to do. One reason for this is because it is a childrens book
and I do not want the character to have a potential weapon as it could concern some people.
Another thing I have noticed that distinguishes a hunter is that they all wear a hunters hat. This
is a recognizable so I am going to include it in my book. It is important to make my characters
recognizable because my audience is young and I do not want them to be confused.

Advantages: One advantage of using a JPEG is that it creates smaller file sizes by
compressing the image.
Another advantage is that it is compatible across multiple platforms
Another advantage is that JPEGs take up less storage space on your computer
Another advantage is that a JPEG can display millions of colours
Disadvantages:
One disadvantage of using JPEGs is that when you save as a JPEG the file size is
reduced which will lead to loss of quality in the image
Lossless editing can decrease the image quality.

Production Methods
I am going to draw my product by hand. One reason I am going to do this is because
it makes it very easy to make a cartoon style that Is child friendly and would appeal
to a younger audience. In contrast with other techniques such as the comic book
effect on Photoshop I don’t think it would appeal to children as much. After
drawing my book I will be scanning in the pages and I will put them in Photoshop
where I will the use the paint bucket tool to block colour in my book. I am doing this
because it gives my book a simple cartoon look.
One reason have chosen this technique is because I personally really like drawing
and I find it fun. I thought it was important to enjoy making my product so I would
care more about it and pay more attention to detail. I also think drawing gives my
book a unique look because nobody else can exactly copy what I have created.
38. Audience
Gender - I am going to appeal to both females and males.
Age - I will be targeting children as the primary audience and adults as the secondary. To
appeal to the secondary audience I have chosen the fairy tale little red riding hood which is a
well established story so the parents would of heard of it and they would buy it for their
children.
Social Grade - I will be targeting both ABC1 and C2DE but I think my product would appeal
more to the ABC1 demographic. One reason I think it would appeal more to this demographic
is because members of this audience group will have a higher income so that they can buy
books for their children. However, I think the story will appeal to both social grades because
the children's fairy tale is well established and lots of people are familiar with it so I know the
story works and I am just making slight changes to the book.
Geodemographics – Different areas have different spending habits and availability to places
where they can buy children's books. As a result I am going to be targeting an urban
demographic because they will have easy access to book shops.
Psychographics
I will be appealing to the emulator because my audience will want to succeed in life and they
will see little red riding hood as someone they want to be and look up to because they my
admire some of here traits in the book.
Users and gratifications – information, personal identity, intigration and social interaction,
entertainment.
My audience may read my book as a form of escapism. My book is in a fantasy world and it will
take them away from their life and world and into something different.
39. Audience
My secondary audience of adults will find my book appealing because it tells a moral story
about trust and how you should not trust strangers. This is appealing to them because it will
develop behavioural traits by teaching their children who are the primary audience a lesson
not to trust strangers.

41. What are the strengths of the proposal? What areas of the proposal need further work?
Very well detailed. Has a clear plan so that he
knows exactly what he can move onto once he has
started production.
Only thing I can pick out is a few grammatical
mistakes in story overview.
What are the strengths of the idea generation? What areas of idea generation could have been
further developed?
Lots of ideas to work from. Mood board is well
detailed meaning that he can use things for
inspiration or can use for reference once he starts
to create his work.
Perhaps explore another idea in a mood board then
you can have something to fall back on in case you
don’t like your other idea.
42. Feedback Summary
Sum up your feedback.
My feedback was overall very positive, referring to my idea and how I plan to move
forward with it. However, It stated that I should of added additional ideas and focused
on grammar mistakes.
Which parts of your feedback do you agree with and why?
I agree with the feedback when it says I have a clear plan on what to do when I start
production. I made sure that I had one complete idea so the production process would
be easier because I know what I would be doing and wouldn't’t need to waste time.
Which parts of your feedback do you disagree with and why?
I disagree that I need to make a second plan. I think it is important to have a plan to fall
back on but I thought it was more important to have one complete idea first and by the
time I completed my plan for my idea I was very confident in it.

Little Red Riding Hood lived in a wood with her mother. One day Little Red Riding Hood went to
visit her granny. She had a nice cake in her basket.
On her way Little Red Riding Hood met a wolf. “Hello!” said the wolf. “Where are you going?”
“I’m going to see my grandmother. She lives in a house behind those trees.”
The wolf ran to Granny’s house and ate Granny up. He got into Granny’s bed. A little later, Little Red
Riding Hood reached the house. She looked at the wolf.
“Granny, what big eyes you have!”
“All the better to see you with!” said the wolf.
“Granny, what big ears you have!”
“All the better to hear you with!” said the wolf.
“Granny, what a big nose you have!”
“All the better to smell you with!” said the wolf.
“Granny, what big teeth you have!”
“All the better to eat you with!” shouted the wolf.
A woodcutter was in the wood. He heard a loud scream and ran to the house.
The woodcutter hit the wolf over the head. The wolf opened his mouth wide and shouted and
Granny jumped out.
The wolf ran away and Little Red Riding Hood never saw the wolf again.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
THERE WAS once a sweet little maid, much beloved by everybody, but most of all by her
grandmother, who never knew how to make enough of her. Once she sent her a little riding hood
of red velvet, and as it was very becoming to her, and she never wore anything else, people called
her Little Red Riding Hood.
One day her mother said to her, “Come, Little Red Riding Hood, here are some cakes and a flask of
wine for you to take to grandmother; she is weak and ill, and they will do her good. Make haste and
start before it grows hot, and walk properly and nicely, and don’t run, or you might fall and break
the flask of wine, and there would be none left for grandmother. And when you go into her room,
don’t forget to say good morning, instead of staring about you.” “I will be sure to take care,” said
Little Red Riding Hood to her mother, and gave her hand upon it.
Now the grandmother lived away in the wood, half an hour’s walk from the village; and when Little
Red Riding Hood had reached the wood, she met the wolf; but as she did not know what a bad sort
of animal he was, she did not feel frightened.
“Good day, Little Red Riding Hood,” said he. “Thank you kindly, wolf,” answered she. “Where are
you going so early, Little Red Riding Hood?” “To my grandmother’s.” “What are you carrying under
your apron?” “Cakes and wine; we baked yesterday; and my grandmother is very weak and ill, so
they will do her good, and strengthen her.” “Where does your grandmother live, Little

Red Riding Hood?” “A quarter of an hour’s walk from here; her house stands beneath the three oak
trees, and you may know it by the hazel bushes,” said Little Red Riding Hood.
The wolf thought to himself, “That tender young thing would be a delicious morsel, and would
taste better than the old one; I must manage somehow to get both of them.” Then he walked by
Little Red Riding Hood a little while, and said, “Little Red Riding Hood, just look at the pretty
flowers that are growing all round you; and I don’t think you are listening to the song of the birds;
you are posting along just as if you were going to school, and it is so delightful out here in the
wood.” Little Red Riding Hood glanced round her, and when she saw the sunbeams darting here
and there through the trees, and lovely flowers everywhere, she thought to herself, “If I were to
take a fresh nosegay to my grandmother she would be very pleased, and it is so early in the day
that I shall reach her in plenty of time”; and so she ran about in the wood, looking for flowers. And
as she picked one she saw a still prettier one a little farther off, and so she went farther and farther
into the wood.
But the wolf went straight to the grandmother’s house and knocked at the door. “Who is there?”
cried the grandmother. “Little Red Riding Hood,” he answered, “and I have brought you some cake
and wine. Please open the door.” “Lift the latch,” cried the grandmother; “I am too feeble to get
up.” So the wolf lifted the latch, and the door flew open, and he fell on the grandmother and ate
her up without saying one word. Then he drew on her clothes, put on her cap, lay down in her bed,
and drew the curtains.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Little Red Riding Hood was all this time running about among the flowers, and when she had
gathered as many as she could hold, she remembered her grandmother, and set off to go to her.
She was surprised to find the door standing open, and when she came inside she felt very strange,
and thought to herself, “Oh dear, how uncomfortable I feel, and I was so glad this morning to go to
my grandmother!” And when she said, “Good morning,” there was no answer. Then she went up to
the bed and drew back the curtains; there lay the grandmother with her cap pulled over her eyes,
so that she looked very odd.
“O grandmother, what large ears you have!” “The better to hear with.” “O grandmother, what great
eyes you have!” “The better to see with.” “O grandmother, what large hands you have!” “The
better to take hold of you with.” “But, grandmother, what a terrible large mouth you have!” “The
better to devour you!” And no sooner
3
had the wolf said it than he made one bound from the bed, and swallowed up poor Little Red
Riding Hood.
Then the wolf, having satisfied his hunger, lay down again in the bed, went to sleep, and began to
snore loudly. The huntsman heard him as he was passing by the house, and thought, “How the old
woman snores- I had better see if there is anything the matter with her.” Then he went into the
room, and walked up to the bed, and saw the wolf lying there. “At last I find you, you old sinner!”
said he; “I have been looking for you a long time.” And he made up his mind that the wolf had
swallowed the grandmother whole, and that she might yet be saved

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
. So he did not fire, but took a pair of shears and began to slit up the wolfs body. When he made a
few snips Little Red Riding Hood appeared, and after a few more snips she jumped out and cried,
“Oh dear, how frightened I have been! It is so dark inside the wolf.” And then out came the old
grandmother, still living and breathing. But Little Red Riding Hood went and quickly fetched some
large stones, with which she filled the wolf’s body, so that when he waked up, and was going to
rush away, the stones were so heavy that he sank down and fell dead.
They were all three very pleased. The huntsman took off the wolf’s skin, and carried it home. The
grandmother ate the cakes, and drank the wine, and held up her head again, and Little Red Riding
Hood said to herself that she would never more stray about in the wood alone, but would mind
what her mother told her.
It must also be related how a few days afterwards, when Little Red Riding Hood was again taking
cakes to her grandmother, another wolf spoke to her, and wanted to tempt her to leave the path;
but she was on her guard, and went straight on her way, and told her grandmother how that the
wolf had met her, and wished her good day, but had looked so wicked about the eyes that she
thought if it had not been on the high road he would have devoured her.
“Come,” said the grandmother, “we will shut the door, so that he may not get in.” Soon after came
the wolf knocking at the door, and calling out, “Open the door, grandmother, I am Little Red Riding
Hood, bringing you cakes.” But they remained still, and did not open the door. After that the wolf
slunk by the house, and got at last upon the roof to wait until Little Red Riding Hood should return
home in the evening; then he meant to spring down upon her, and devour her in the darkness. But
the grandmother discovered his plot. Now there stood before the house a great stone trough, and
the grandmother said to the child, “Little Red Riding Hood, I was boiling sausages yesterday, so take
the bucket, and

carry away the water they were boiled in, and pour it into the trough.” And Little Red
Riding Hood did so until the great trough was quite full. When the smell of the sausages
reached the nose of the wolf he snuffed it up, and looked round, and stretched out his
neck so far that he lost his balance and began to slip, and he slipped down off the roof
straight into the great trough, and was drowned.
Then Little Red Riding Hood went cheerfully home, and came to no harm.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Page 1 – There once was a little wolf who was smaller than the rest of the wolves. She also wore a
bright red hood where ever she went. The rest of the wolves started to call her Little Red Riding
Hood. She was loved by everyone, but most of all by grandma wolf.
Page 2 – One day mother wolf said to her “Your Grandma is missing you Little Red Riding Hood,
here are some cakes and milk for you to take to your grandma. That will make her happy but make
sure you stay on the path and don’t talk to any strangers.”
Page 3 – Little Red Riding Hood packed her basket with the cakes and milk for grandma and began
her trip to her grandmas den. She left her cave and make her way to the edge of the wood where
the path began and began to travel deep into the woods.
Page 4 – When she was in the woods she met a man who looked like a hunter on the path.
Little Red Riding Hood - “How are you hunter, I am Little Red Riding Hood”
hunter - “What are you doing so far into the woods and what is in your basket?”
Little Red Riding Hood - “I am taking some cakes and milk to my grandma because she misses me.”
hunter “That is very good of you, where does your grandma live? Do you need any help getting
there?
Little Red Riding Hood – “She lives at the end of this path under 3 oak trees where there is a small
cave. I can make the journey on my own though thanks. Bye”
Little Red Riding Hood began to skip again past the hunter and along the path.
Page 5 – The hunter then watched Little Red Riding Hood skip off into the distance until she was
gone. The hunter knew the woods well and knew a sort cut to the end of the path so he ran into
the woods and began making his way to grandmas den.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD
Page 6 – The wolf arrived at the den and shouted at the entrance.
Grandma “Who is it”
Hunter “It is Little Red Riding Hood. I have come to bring you cakes and milk.”
Grandma “ Come in Little Red Riding Hood, please come to the back of the cave where I am
resting.”
The Hunter then crept to the back of the cave where it was dark where grandma was resting.
Grandma “I can hear you Little Red Riding Hood, come in so I can see you.”
The Hunter then jumped out to scare grandma and put her into the darkest corner of the cave. He
then put on on of his wolf pelts to wait for Little Red Riding Hood.
Page 7 – “Hello grandma” it was Little Red Riding Hood at the entrance.
She let her self in and called for her grandma “Where are you grandma, I have brought you cakes
and milk”
There was no reply in the cave and it was dark so Little Red Riding Hood decided she would light a
torch and go and look at the back of the cave .
Page 8 – “Oh, there you are Grandma. I was worried you were not here.
Hunter – “I am here, please come closer so I can see you”
As Little Red Riding Hood got closer she began to see more clearly.
“Grandma you look so different from what I remember, has it been that long?”
“O grandmother, what small ears you have!” “I can still hear you fine.” “O grandmother, what small
eyes you have!” “I can still see you fine.” “O grandmother, what small teeth you have!”
“Wait a minute” said riding hood

Page 9 – Little Red Riding Hood howled “ahhhhhhhh”
The hunter revealed himself, jumping out and shouting “You are mine now wolf!
The hunter was so fast in jumping up he stumbled, fell onto the floor and bumped his head.
The hunter was now left hurt on the floor and dizzy from the hit to the head.
Page 10 – At this moment there was a bear walking near by who was collecting food for winter,
hearing the scream, the bear ran towards the noise as fast as he could. When he arrived at the
entrance of the den he charged in.
Page 11 –
“What happened, are you ok?”
The bear instantly saw the hunter on the floor. The bear recognised the hunter as he had been
seen in the woods before.
“I have finally found you hunter, what are you doing?”
At this point grandma came out of the corner of the dark cave to be seen. The bear stood at the
hunter on the floor.
Page 12 – The bear then roared as loud as he could, charged towards the hunter, which cause the
hunter to spring to his feet and flee from the den. The bear continued to chase the man him out of
the den, deep into the woods. This left Little Red Riding Hood and grandma alone never to see the
hunter again.
