Finally I return to some more practical advise, particularly about thinking about the learning design of a course at an early stage.

However, some very visual learners may have benefited from also seeing the written words. The technology was used passively as the teacher controlled the presentation, and the lesson could have been taught without it, but the PowerPoint did motivate students to learn the vocabulary.
