DETERMINING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF
PERSONALITY ANALYSIS IN THE
INDIAN TRAINING INDUSTRY
A Case Study on NIIT and Brainware
GROUPA (SECTION A) (2015-2017)
BATCH: PGDM 05 AND PGPM-IB 01
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:-
• The purpose of the study is to understand valuable
insights into a person’s job fit and how they are likely
interact with co-workers, managers and beneficiary.
• It can be used by the administrators to understand the
personality of employees and the senior level
executives in the training industry.
• It aims to focus on the positive and negative impact
on the training industry. The administrator can initiate
necessary measure towards the betterment of the
organization.

for these project?
NIIT:-
• As a corporate training company and industrial training
company, it has customized programs for both large and
small enterprises.

DATA COLLECTION:-
SAMPLE SIZE:
1. Senior Management Officials – 5 for NIIT and 4 for Brainware.
2. Junior Management Officials and employees – 18 for NIIT and 18
for Brainware.
METHODOLOGY:
1. We had taken personal interview with the Managers of NIIT and
Brainware.
2. We had made a survey consisting of various personality and
development related questions for determining the effectiveness of
personality in junior level employees.

FINDINGS AND INFERENCES
• Both the organizations, NIIT and Brainware try very hard to
train their employees by providing them training on different
skills, so that they can deliver up to the expected level.
• They also use different types of test to judge their employees.
Feedback is a major part of training industry. They conduct
regular feedback from their beneficiaries to see what going on
in both the organizations. They use this feedback for evaluation
and appraisal of their employees.
• Form the employee’s point of view they are happy to work in
the respective companies. They also feel that both the
organization do not provide them with too much of work
pressure. This also makes them actively participate in the other
activities of their respective organizations.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Both NIIT & Brainware should conduct personality tests of
their employees more often.
• The organizations should take heed of the conflict
management within the organization.
• They should conduct some standardized personality test
like MBTI or FIRO-B for the employees in order to have a
standardized result.
• Both NIIT & Brainware are found to be easy going with the
employees, this is good for the industrial harmony but may
lead to reluctance. Therefore a bit more pressure and
strictness will be healthy for both organizations.

  • 1. DETERMINING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PERSONALITY ANALYSIS IN THE INDIAN TRAINING INDUSTRY A Case Study on NIIT and Brainware GROUPA (SECTION A) (2015-2017) BATCH: PGDM 05 AND PGPM-IB 01

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:- • The purpose of the study is to understand valuable insights into a person’s job fit and how they are likely interact with co-workers, managers and beneficiary. • It can be used by the administrators to understand the personality of employees and the senior level executives in the training industry. • It aims to focus on the positive and negative impact on the training industry. The administrator can initiate necessary measure towards the betterment of the organization.
  • 3. Why we have chosen NIIT and Brainware for these project?
  • 4. NIIT:- • As a corporate training company and industrial training company, it has customized programs for both large and small enterprises. • Flagship multi-disciplinary course offerings include the industry-endorsed program, a set of post graduate programs for students. • For growth and career development, NIIT has been ranked as the 4th best company in India.

BRAINWARE:- • Full-fledged IT solutions company that is capable of offering a wide portfolio of services. • Employability skills' – a well-balanced conglomeration of communicative skills, presentation ability, presence of mind and in-depth technical knowledge. • Ranked 3rd in Eastern India in terms of “Quality of Training”.
  • 8. DATA COLLECTION:- SAMPLE SIZE: 1. Senior Management Officials – 5 for NIIT and 4 for Brainware. 2. Junior Management Officials and employees – 18 for NIIT and 18 for Brainware. METHODOLOGY: 1. We had taken personal interview with the Managers of NIIT and Brainware. 2. We had made a survey consisting of various personality and development related questions for determining the effectiveness of personality in junior level employees.

FINDINGS AND INFERENCES • Both the organizations, NIIT and Brainware try very hard to train their employees by providing them training on different skills, so that they can deliver up to the expected level. • They also use different types of test to judge their employees. Feedback is a major part of training industry. They conduct regular feedback from their beneficiaries to see what going on in both the organizations. They use this feedback for evaluation and appraisal of their employees. • Form the employee’s point of view they are happy to work in the respective companies. They also feel that both the organization do not provide them with too much of work pressure. This also makes them actively participate in the other activities of their respective organizations.
  • 16. RECOMMENDATIONS • Both NIIT & Brainware should conduct personality tests of their employees more often. • The organizations should take heed of the conflict management within the organization. • They should conduct some standardized personality test like MBTI or FIRO-B for the employees in order to have a standardized result. • Both NIIT & Brainware are found to be easy going with the employees, this is good for the industrial harmony but may lead to reluctance. Therefore a bit more pressure and strictness will be healthy for both organizations.
