This document provides guidelines for preparing an e-commerce project report for a Bachelor of Business Administration program, including formatting guidelines for the paper, typing, layout, page numbering, binding, and arrangement of chapters. The report should follow a specific structure, beginning with an introduction, literature review, requirements analysis, software design, hardware/software specifications, content management system setup and configuration, finalizing the product, testing, further enhancements/recommendations, references, and appendices. Figures, photos, and tables should be numbered by chapter. The bibliography should be in alphabetical order by author or title. Samples of the front cover and certificate page are also provided.

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING THE PROJECT REPORT
FOR BBA 6th Semester, PRIME COLLEGE
 The project report should be submitted in A4 size.
Paper, Typing , Format:
 Bond paper (A4 size) should be used for the preparation of the project report.
Typing should be done on one side of the paper with character font in size 12
of Times New Roman.
 The layout should provide a margin of 4 cm on the left, 3 cm on the top and
bottom and 2 cm on the right.
Left margin: 4 cm
Top and bottom margin: 3 cm
Right margin: 2 cm
 The page numbers should be indicated at bottom-middle of the each page.
 Should not underline the heading/subheadings and should not put colons ( : )
in headings or subheadings
Binding
 The dissertation shall be properly bound, using Rexene of black colour .The
bound front cover should indicate in suitable embossed letter the following:

Seventh Page
 The seventh page should contain an abstract of the Project report. The
candidate may emphasise here her/his contributions.
Eight and Ninth Page
 In this page, a table of contents, list of tables, list of figues, and photographs
and notation must be provided.
Important Note:
 All the above pages are to be numbered in Roman numerals of lower case.
Ex. i,ii,iii,iv,…
 The document pages must be numbered using numbers i.e. 1,2,3……
Arrangement of Chapters depending upon the project
The following is suggested format for arranging the project report matter into various
chapters:

This chapter is most crucial part while preparing project report. In case of
ecommerce project you may include following concerns:
Define or identify the general topic, issue, or area of concern, thus providing an
appropriate context for reviewing the literature.
Include some previous research done in similar filed ie. Similar ecommerce
product existing in market and so on. You may take help of google dai as well.
3. Requirement Analysis
Problem Definition
(Explain the problems in traditional methods of doing business and
why it is necessary to develop this portal here)
4. Software Design
The design part must include the following items
 DFDs in case of Database projects

- Use case diagrams (E-Commerce)
 Flow diagrams (Overall Flowchart of your system)
 UI design (Wireframe of you home page showing where logo,
menu, slider, ads will be displayed. It may be a sketch or block
diagram drawn using MS Word.)
5. Software and Hardware requirements
(Specify the hardware/Software requirements here.. i.e. OS, CPU
Speed, Software required such as XAMPP and Prestashop here)
6. CMS SETUP AND CONFIGURATION
Explain terms: webpage, website, their working model i.e. client/server model
and Content Management Systems etc.

Arrangement of titles and subtitles in a Chapter:
 Each titles in a chapter should be properly numbered for example, 2.1, 2.2 etc.,
where first digit represents the Chapter Number and second digit the title
number.
 Sub-paragraphs, if any indicated as 1.1.1, 1.1.2 etc. i.e. first digit representing
the chapter, the second representing the title and third representing the sub-
title and so on..
 Don’t underline the headings or subheadings or side heading. Instead use
the bold letters.

 The figures, photographs and tables occuring in a chapter may be serially
numbered as Fig. 1.1, 1.2 etc., where the first digit represents the chapter, the
second digit represents Figure number.
 The Screenshot of your project may be represented as Photo 1.1, 1.2 etc., the
first digit representing chapter and the second digit represents Photograph
number.
 The tables may be represented as Table 1.1, 1.2 etc., the first digit representing
chapter and the second digit represents table number.
Bibliography or References:
 The following format may be used for writing the Bibliography/References.
