This document summarizes a project to design and fabricate a multipurpose hydraulic angular sheet forming machine. The machine uses hydraulic power to transfer energy and apply force for metal forming operations that require heavy pressure, such as drawing and forming. Hydraulic systems offer advantages over other drive types for these applications, providing large forces with low-cost energy. The design of the machine will apply Pascal's law of hydraulic pressure transmission to clamp, form, and shape sheet metal parts into angular shapes.
