The document proposes a power allocation scheme for statistical quality-of-service provisioning in multi-relay cognitive networks. The scheme first chooses between direct transmission or relay transmission based on channel state information. It then performs efficient power allocation according to the transmission mode under average transmit power constraints, interference power constraints, and a peak interference constraint to meet quality-of-service requirements. Simulations show the proposed scheme outperforms max-min criterion and equal power allocation policies by achieving higher throughput while involving at most two relays for transmission.

Energy Aware Routing Protocol for Energy Constrained Mobile Ad-hoc Networks IJECEIAES
Dynamic topology change and decentralized makes routing a challenging task in mobile ad hoc network. Energy efficient routing is the most challenging task in MANET due to limited energy of mobile nodes. Limited power of batteries typically use in MANET, and this is not easy to change or replace while running communication. Network disorder can occur for many factors but in middle of these factors deficiency of energy is the most significant one for causing broken links and early partition of the network. Evenly distribution of power between nodes could enhance the lifetime of the network, which leads to improving overall network transmission and minimizes the connection request. To discourse this issue, we propose an Energy Aware Routing Protocol (EARP) which considers node energy in route searching process and chooses nodes with higher energy levels. The EARP aim is to establish t he shortest route from source to destination that contains energy efficient nodes. The performance of EARP is evaluated in terms of packet delivery ratio, network lifetime, end-to-end delay and throughput. Results of simulation done by using NS2 network simulator shows that EARP can achieve both high throughput and delivery ratio, whereas increase network lifetime and decreases end-to-end delay.

Modulation aware connection admission control and uplink scheduling algorithm...ijwmn
Mobile WiMAX standard defines air interface for mobile broadband wireless access (BWA) systems and aimed to provide high data rate with seamless mobility while maintaining the quality of service (QoS). However, QoS of real-time applications depends on the link quality, which necessitate the channel-aware connection admission control (CAC) and scheduling schemes. In this paper Modulation aware CAC scheme and base station (BS) uplink scheduling algorithm are proposed to improve the system capacity and QoS performance respectively. The proposed CAC scheme aims to increase the admission of higher priority real time services by degrading the bandwidth of admitted lower priority connections on the basis of their channel status without deteriorating their QoS performance much. The performances of proposed algorithms are evaluated through simulation by considering the metrics like throughput, delay and number of connections admitted.
QUALITY OF SERVICE ROUTING IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKS USING LOCATION AND ENERG...ijwmn
Mobile Ad hoc Networks are highly dynamic networks. Quality of Service (QoS) routing in such networks is usually limited by the network breakage due to either node mobility or energy depletion of the mobile nodes. Also, to fulfill certain quality parameters, presence of multiple node-disjoint paths becomes essential. Such paths aid in the optimal traffic distribution and reliability in case of path breakages. Thus, to cater such problem, we present a node-disjoint multi path protocol. The metric used to select the paths takes into account the stability of the nodes and the corresponding links. The proposed technique is also illustrated with an example.

Advance Planning Tool for Managing a Dynamic Interconnected Power System in a...Power System Operation
The interconnection of power system network is the
connection of one isolated power network, normally
belonging to one country, to another isolated network,
belonging to another country, via a tie-line or DC link. It
has long been recognized that interconnection of
individual power system network can provide more
beneficial operating conditions both technically and
economically [1]. One good example of this
interconnected operation is UCTE where European
continent's networks are interconnected and operating as
one synchronous zone.
Part of main advantage of the interconnected network
can be summarized as follow:
1) Provide better network security and stability by
sharing of available network reserve through
interconnection. For example, the lost of
generation in one country can be quickly
compensated by spinning reserve in another.
2) Provide opening for the trading of power
between countries leading to a liberalized
electricity market. This point is of great interest
in the present development of the electricity
A New Bi-level Program Based on Unblocked Reliability for a Continuous Road N...IJMER
With increasing demands for better and more reliable service, developing a method for designing a highly-reliability road network has become a critical issue. A Network Design Problem is used to determine a set of design parameters leading to the creation of an optimal road network. Moreover, the performance of an Origin-Destination pair with high traffic demands is a top priority in the optimizing process. A bi-level programming technique, that is upper-level and lower-level programs, can be used to formulate the Continuous Network Design Problem. This study establishes a new type of bi-level program based on unblocked reliability. The proposed bi-level program is applied to analyze a real local road network that has 22 nodes and 62 links. A set of link capacity expansions is determined by solving the proposed bi-level program using the Hooke-Jeeves algorithm. This kind of capacity expansion results in optimization by maximizing the balance between the unblocked reliability of the entire road network and the road network expansion ratio. The new, proposed bi-level program can comply with the various limits on environment and financial resources.

Quality of Service for Video Streaming using EDCA in MANETijsrd.com
Mobile Ad-hoc network(MANET) is a collection of wireless terminals that are able to dynamically form a temporary network. To establish such a network no fixed infrastructure is required. Here, it is the responsibility of network nodes to forward each other's packets and thus these nodes also act as routers. In such a network resources are limited and also topology changes dynamically. So providing Quality of service(QoS) is also necessary. QoS is more important for real time applications for example Video Streaming. IEEE 802.11e network standard supports QoS through EDCA technique. This technique does not fulfill the requirements of QoS. So, in this project modified EDCA technique is proposed to enhance QoS for Video Streaming application. This technique is implemented in NS2 and compared with traditional EDCA.

POWER ALLOCATION FOR STATISTICAL QOS PROVISIONING IN
OPPORTUNISTIC MULTI-RELAY DF COGNITIVE NETWORKS
ABSTRACT:
We propose a power allocation scheme for statistical quality-of-service (QoS) provisioning in
multi-relay decode-and-forward (DF) cognitive networks (CN). By considering the direct link
between the source and destination, the CN first chooses the transmission mode (direct
transmission or relay transmission) based on the channel state information. Then, according to
the determined transmission mode, efficient power allocation will be performed under the given
QoS requirement, the average transmit and interference power constraints as well as the peak
interference constraint.
Our proposed power allocation scheme indicates that, in order to achieve the maximum
throughput, at most two relays can be involved for the transmission. Simulation results show that
our proposed scheme outperforms the max-min criterion and equal power allocation policy.
