Engineering involves applying scientific and mathematical principles to invent, design, build, and improve structures, machines, and systems. Mechanical engineering specifically applies these principles to the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Design engineers are involved in various disciplines and work to research user needs, sketch ideas, develop virtual models, and more. Their work includes machine design, product design, industrial design, and mechanical CAD drawings.

Design of various components using virtual-reality and CAD technology. The advanced technology provides a new preservative to computer aided design and drawing
The record number of Engineering students passing out every year means finding employment is really difficult.
So how do you stay ahead of the competition?
Currently, several institutes are offering CAD CAE training. The courses offer the basic concept of CAD – either on CATIA, NX or Creo but the main challenge is to place the students in good companies at the entry level. Companies want more industry-specific knowledge hence domain specific courses created with the association of industry experts is in demand.

CAD is one part of the whole Digital Product Development (DPD) activity within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, and as such is used together with other tools, which are either integrated modules or stand-alone products, such as:
• Computer-aided engineering (CAE) and Finite element analysis (FEA)
• Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) including instructions to Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines
• Photo realistic rendering and Motion Simulation.
• Document management and revision control using Product Data Management (PDM).
To design is to plan or organize something for a specific use, or to create something to meet a specific need. Often, designs provide solutions to problem situations. Design solutions are created through the Design Process. This process will vary depending upon what is being designed

Datum offers Finite Element Analysis (FEA) services in India, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a numerical technique used to analyze the behavior of structures and components under a variety of loading conditions. FEA is used in the design, optimization and analysis of components and structures from a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive and energy. The FEA process involves creating a mathematical model of a design, based on the geometry and material properties of the components, and then running simulations to determine the behavior of the design under various loading conditions.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
Hello everyone! I am thrilled to present my latest portfolio on LinkedIn, marking the culmination of my architectural journey thus far. Over the span of five years, I've been fortunate to acquire a wealth of knowledge under the guidance of esteemed professors and industry mentors. From rigorous academic pursuits to practical engagements, each experience has contributed to my growth and refinement as an architecture student. This portfolio not only showcases my projects but also underscores my attention to detail and to innovative architecture as a profession.
You could be a professional graphic designer and still make mistakes. There is always the possibility of human error. On the other hand if you’re not a designer, the chances of making some common graphic design mistakes are even higher. Because you don’t know what you don’t know. That’s where this blog comes in. To make your job easier and help you create better designs, we have put together a list of common graphic design mistakes that you need to avoid.
7 Alternatives to Bullet Points in PowerPointAlvis Oh

Engineering?
Engineering is the application of mathematics and scientific, economic, social,
and practical knowledge in order to invent, innovate, design, build, maintain,
research, and improve structures, machines, tools, systems, components,
materials, processes, solutions, and organizations.
Design in Mechanical Engineering?
Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of
engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis,
manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of
engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery.
Design Engineer
A design engineer is a general term for a person who may be involved in any of
various engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, chemical,
textiles, aerospace, nuclear, manufacturing, civil, systems, and structural
/building/architectural.
What do you do as a design engineer?
Design engineers, also known as industrial designers, typically do the
following: Research who will use the product and the various ways it might be
used. Sketch out ideas or create blueprints. Use computer software to develop
virtual models of different designs.
Machine Design
Machine design is the process of engineering design. A machine is made up of
mechanisms that work together to satisfy the requirements of what the
machine needs to accomplish.
Mechanical Design Engineer
Mechanical engineers are typically involved with the generation, distribution,
and use of energy; the processing of materials; the control and automation of
manufacturing systems; the design and development of machines; and the
solutions to environmental problems.

Product
Products change functionally and aesthetically, hence the key ingredient for
any product's success is the skill of the Product Design Engineers. Product
Design Engineers have the challenging task of combining creative, aesthetic
and technical design skills, with a background of engineering science.
Product Design
Product design as a verb is to create a new product to be sold by a business to
its customers. A very broad concept, it is essentially the efficient and effective
generation and development of ideas through a process that leads to new
products.
Industrial Design
Industrial design is a process of design applied to products that are to be
manufactured through techniques of mass production.
Work of Industrial Designers
Industrial designers work primarily in offices, but they may travel to the places
where the products are manufactured. Industrial designers develop the
concepts for manufactured products, such as cars, home appliances, and toys.
They combine art, business, and engineering to make products that people use
every day.
Product Engineering
Product engineering refers to the process of designing and developing a device,
assembly, or system such that it be produced as an item for sale through some
production manufacturing process. ... It includes design, development and
transitioning to manufacturing of the product.
Mechanical CAD
In mechanical design it is known as mechanical design automation (MDA) or
computer-aided drafting (CAD), which includes the process of creating a
technical drawing with the use of computer software.
Machine Drawing
In Machine drawing is the indispensable communicating medium employed in
industries, to furnish all the information required for the manufacture and
assembly of the components of a machine.

CAD
CAD, or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), is the use of computer
technology for design and design documentation. CAD software replaces
manual drafting with an automated process.
CAD Drawings
CAD (computer-aided design) software is used by architects, engineers,
drafters, artists, and others to create precision drawings or technical
illustrations. CAD software can be used to create two-dimensional (2-D)
drawings or three-dimensional (3-D) models.
Production Drawings
Production drawings (sometimes called working drawings) are complete sets
of drawings that detail the manufacturing and assembly of products (as distinct
from engineering drawings prepared by and/or for production engineers
whose task it to decide how best to manufacture the products).
Assembly drawings
An assembly drawing shows how parts of a product fit together. They are often
used to show how to assemble parts of model kits and flat-pack furniture.
An assembly drawing is a technical drawing that uses action illustrations to
show how parts fit together. Multiple drawings are used together in sequential
sets to give a reader instruction on how a product is assembled.
There are two types:
A fitted assembly drawing shows the parts put together, and can be drawn in
2D or 3D.
An exploded drawing shows the parts separated, but in the correct
relationship for fitting together. Exploded views are usually drawn in 3D.
Cutaway drawing
A cutaway drawing, also called a cutaway diagram is a 3D graphics, drawing,
diagram and or illustration, in which surface elements of a three-dimensional
model are selectively removed, to make internal features visible, but without
sacrificing the outer context entirely.
