3. INTRODUCTION OF
 Established since 2006 and enjoys a strong presence
in the global Denim market through it large production
scale, advance technology and commitment to
excellence.
 It is a joint venture of two of the oldest business
groups in Pakistan Akhtar Textile Industry (A
renowned name in garment stitching) Haji Khuda Bux
Amir Umar (The largest intender of raw cotton in
Pakistan).
 INDIGO has the distinction of being the youngest
Levi’s certified partner.

4. 1. Ball Wrapping 3
 Ball warping is the first operation in denim manufacturing, in
which the warp or ends are warped on a ball in the form of
rope in order to make it possible that the yarn can be dyed
in rope form.
 This is one of the widely used warping operation in denim
manufacturing mills.

5. 2. Dyeing
 Dyeing is a process by which physical or chemical changes are
produced into the textile substrate so that reflection of light appears
colored.”
 The substances, which are responsible for this phenomenon are
called Dye Stuffs. These are special chemicals known as Dyes.

6. 3. Re-Beaming 5
 Re-beaming is carried out just after the dyeing
process and in this operation the dyed rope of yarn is
wound over the beam in a sheet form in order to size
the warp yarn in the form of sheet.

7. 4. Sizing 6
 The prime function of the sizing is to improve the
weave ability of the warp yarn.
 This is accomplished by selecting and applying the
right sizing materials which are most suitable for the
different yarn being sized.

8. 5. Weaving
 Weaving is the cloth manufacturing process which produces a woven fabric
by the interlacement of two sets of yarns i.e. warp and weft at right angles.
 Threads which are parallel to the length of the fabric are called as warp
threads. They are carried on beam and are usually sized.
 Weft threads are parallel to the width of the fabric; they are also called as
filling threads as they are carried through the warp shed by means of some
weft insertion medium.
 The actual process of weaving i.e. the interlacement of warp and weft is
carried out on a machine called as the loom.

9. 6. Finishing
 Finishing is an after-treatment process and last step
of textile wet processing to improve properties
depending upon the end use.
 Finishing process done to fabrics, fiber and yarns
causing them to change in appearance, texture and
performance.
 The aim of textile finish may be described as
improving the customer satisfaction by performing
different chemical and mechanical activities.

10. 7. Inspection & Dispatch
 It is the main process also consider as the heart of
finishing department because in this grading of fabric
rolls take place.
 At this stage we can easily trace or figure out the
problems from spinning till dyeing.
 The main function of this process is to inspect and
grade the fabric by identifying all the faults from back
processes.
 After these all the process, final finished fabric i.e.
denim is obtained which is further sold to the garment
or other factories to convert it into the desired end
products.
