We use technology; depend on technology in our daily
lives. our needs and demands for technology keep on
rising. Humans use technology to travel, to communicate,
to learn, to do business and to live incomfort.
• Technology has its advantages. Examples are:
 mechanizedagriculture
improvedtransportation
improvedcommunication
improvededucationand learningprocess
• Technology also has its disadvantages.
Examples are:
 resourcedepletion
 increasedpopulation
 increasedpollution
• We, as students, were witnesses of how technology has
massively changed in learning.Like:
 audience expansion – from teachers and peersto the world,
using social media platforms
 interactive textbooks – often have web-basedsites that
include assessments, animations, etc.
 extended classroom communities – using web-based
platforms like Edmodo
 rise of web-basedresearch – researchand learning are now
easier through the Internet
 disappearance of the chalk board – projectors and smart
televisions are nowused instead of writing
 eBooks-theseare becoming more prevalentwith the
advancement of tablet computers
• Sure, technology has improved in helpfulways, but italso
has its downside. We do benefit from it, but ifnot used
properly, it has its bad effects on us. We just need to
balance our use of it and remember to not be dependent
withit.
