Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disorder that displays characteristics of
significant impairments in social interactions and communication, obsessive interests,
and repetitive behaviors.1 The DSM 5 characterizes Autism Spectrum Disorder as
having a range of symptoms with varying severity, hence the term spectrum .2
Figure 1 shows a representation of the symptoms and sub types of disorders that
are characterized as ASD. The disorder is generally not diagnosable until around 18
months 2 years of age, when children would usually start to display signs of social
communication. ASD has a high prevalence of 1 in every 68 children, with boys
4.5X more likely to have the disorder. Currently, scientists do not know the exact
cause of autism. However, it is agreed upon that the underlying cause is highly likely
to be influenced by genetic heritability.3,4,16
ASD research is important for several reasons. The most apparent reason is the
dramatic increase in the occurrence in the last 20 years. Other reasons are economic
costs of children with ASD, burdensome responsibilities, and emotional hardships on
parents, family members, and communities. Factors contributing to the increase could
very likely be caused by our better understanding of the disorder and diagnosis due to
human genome sequencing technology and other scientific research. Another factor

women and girls often suffer from a disease, anorexia nervosa. This disorder also
affects male dancers, other men, young girls and women, and even children as
young as four years of age (Cohen). An estimated 0.5 to 3.7 percent of females
suffer from anorexia nervosa in their lifetime (NIMH). However, anorexia is more
severe and most recognized in the dance studio in the female dancers.
Anorexia is an emotional and physical illness in which a person refuses to eat. This

The True Story of Pi Patel The book The Life of Pi was an exquisite story where a
young boy, Piscine Patel, experiences hardships like no other. Although it begins
with a slow start, it takes a drastic turn, and everything but Pi s faith in God and
religion changes. His faith in God remains unwavered, although he does get angry
and doubts God at some points. He tells a story to obtain a false sense of reality,
but reveals the truth to what actually happened at the end of the book. The story he
told about the animals was an attempt to block out the memories of his mother
being stabbed to death by the cook. Nobody who experiences those feelings wants
to, and being on a lifeboat with a man who killed your mother, you would need a
distraction. The distraction Pi had was creating the fake story about the animals
and carnivorous island. Due to the extreme detail he put into creating the story
with Richard Parker, it is hard to say it was all a lie, but what he told the Japanese
investigators was just impossible. There is simply no such thing as a carnivorous
island, and the odds of coming across another blind Frenchman in a lifeboat in the
pacific are nearly impossible. Although the first story is easier for Pi to bear, the
second, more gruesome one, is the true story of what happened. He had 227 days to

Introduction
This Report will give an overview of Linux security and the features of SELinux
(Security Enhanced Linux). This report will be split into 4 sections, Section 1 will
be the introduction that will describe what I am being asked to undertake for this
coursework. Section 2 will be on Linux security that will have a description of a
Discretionary Access Control (DAC) and Mandatory Access Control, along with a
comparison of them both. Section 3 will be the Apache server directory
configuration and shell script, this will show an account of my work on the
configuration of the serving directory in order to allow pages to be served using the
apache web server while SELinux is enabled and in enforcing mode. This section will
also include an account of a bash script shell that will test the security configurations.
This section will be presented in the report with the use of screenshots along with a
detailed description of the commands performed and what the screenshots show.
Section 4 will contain the conclusion and this will include my thoughts on the work
that I have undertaken and on the capabilities of SELinux.

procedure that I have carried out whilst I have been on placement and the
importance of infection control using the Aspetic Non Touch Technique (ANTT).
The procedure I am going to discuss is a dressing change to a leg ulcer which took
place during a routine home visit with the community nurse. I am going to use Gibbs
Model of Reflection (1988), to reflect on the experience and evaluate my thoughts and
feelings of the procedure, and to outline what I have gained from the experience for

Once the dressings were securely on and the procedure had been finished, I
removed my apron and gloves and disposed of them in the plastic bag, along with
everything thing else I had used and then washed my hands again. After leaving
the patients home I discussed my practical experience with the Nurse who

carried out using a clinically clean technique rather than the Aseptic Non Touch
