Deepam is a non-profit organization that provides educational support to underprivileged children in Chennai, India. In 2016-17, Deepam operated 5 centers serving over 200 children with the help of over 30 active volunteers. Activities included regular weekend classes, special events, scholarships, and a library. For 2017-18, Deepam plans to open 3 new centers, improve its curriculum, replace laptop resources, and expand its volunteer base while continuing to support underprivileged children through education.
