PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
N.C.S.O./C.S.S./SAFETY, MANAGER/SUPERVISOR
CARMACKS ENTERPRISES LTD., SUNCOR MAIN BASE, FORT HILLS and DEVON
PIKE PROJECT, Northern Alberta Projects. Presently.
I am presently the Northern Safety Manager overseeing three (3) sites, of Suncor Main
Base, Fort Hills and Devon Pike carrying for numerous projects on these sites. I closely
watch the FLHA’s, I work closely with the client owners of these areas as well as
Management and Supervision in the development of the JHA’s for these projects as well
as develop and/or revise the Safe Work Procedures and Safe Job Practices. Adding to
these projects I also do weekly inspections of the sites and internal Audits for COR as
well as internal Audits for the Corporation itself, preparation of the documentation for
PICS requirements as well as pre-qualification documentation for the various projects on
the different foot prints, including preparation and submission of pre-qualification
documentation of our sub-contractors for the various projects.

Conducting Weekly Safety Meeting, Tool Box Meetings along with site Safety
Inspections and Orientations envelops part of my day along with organizing testing that
is required for the sites along with the site Orientations. One very important aspect of
my position is to keep in close contact with the Prime Contractor and Client of the sites
maintaining strong leadership and safety culture throughout the various sites.
FLUOR ENERGY/CMT, Kearl Lake Construction Project, May, 2012 to April 2015
The position of Safety Supervisor Lead at the Imperial Oil Kearl Lake Project, north of
Fort McMurray, Alberta with Fluor Energy (CMT), has closed as the construction
project reached its completion. On this site I worked closely with Management,
Supervision and workers of Prime companies as well as their Sub-contractors,
supporting and working closely with craft safety committees along with attending
numerous Tool Box Meetings and Safety Meetings with the companies on site,
recording my observations of hazards and potential hazards in my Nightly HSSE
Reports reflecting any interventions that I may have performed or witnessed workers
interacting among each other.
On the site it has been my responsibility to review the JHA’s, FLRA’s and Permits to
ensure that they have documented all information clearly and precisely and that these
documents have been read and signed by all involved in the work process for that
document. I have worked closely with the commissioning process on the entire site, this
including audits of Permits and documentation within the Permit packages as well as
reporting and documenting this information to the appropriate personnel as required. It
has been important to have positive interaction with the workers on site as well as with
the Prime Contractor’s and Sub-contractor’s Safety and Supervision and client
personnel.
In the event of an incident/injury, it was my responsibility to interview and investigate,
including taking pictures of the scene, re-enactment, if required, reporting the same
through the appropriate avenues of the reporting system for the site and to format,
prepare and initiate an investigation and/or Tap Root if so required. (Construction
Completed).
CLARK BUILDERS, Suncor Fort Hills, Jan 2012 to May, 2012, this being a temporary
until my position started at the Kearl Lake Project.
Safety Manager at the Suncor Fort Hills site, working closely with the Management and
Safety of Suncor and Supervision for Clark Builders, reviewing all certifications,
FLHA’s, JHA’s and presenting orientations to workers and sub-contractors, recording all
pertaining documentation for data entry, reviewing documentation for corporate level
regulations and preparing documentation for safety requirements by the Suncor Safety
Manager on site at the Fort Hills mining site.

HORTON, C.B. & I., Enbridge Terminal Edmonton, Alberta, Aug, 2011 to Dec, 2011
As Safety Manager at the Enbridge Terminal site for Horton, C.B. & I, I worked closely
with Enbridge Management and Safety as well as with all other corporate Safety
Officers on the Enbridge Terminal. My job tasks encompassed that of reviewing
certificates of workers and presenting the orientations and data entry of the
documentation for corporate level regulations. I prepared and presented an extensive
onsite Safety Manual to Enbridge for approval as well as the required documentation
throughout the time period there, ie. snow removal protocol Policies. I prepared daily
reports for submission at the safety meetings as was set forth by Enbridge Terminal for
the tank construction. (Construction completed)
HORTON, C.B. & I., Gibson Energy, Hardisty, Alberta, Feb, 2011 to Aug. 2011
Safety Manager at Gibson Energy Plant site for Horton, C.B. & I worked closely with
Management, reviewing all certifications of workers and orientations and recording the
same into the computer data system. Reviewing documentation for corporate level
regulations, to prepare for execution and approval by Gibson as well as preparing safety
documentation for the tank construction. I also developed the Safety Manuals and
Documentation for the Husky Site at Hardisty, Alberta, this project started the beginning
of May, 2011. (Construction completed)
HORTON, C.B. & I., Head Office, October, 2010 to Feb., 2011
Worked in the head office of Horton C.B. & I. reviewing and preparing Safety Manuals
and documentation that was to be presented for approval by Gibson Energy. I arranged
meetings with Gibson Supervision and Safety along with Horton CBI Supervision and
myself to start making arrangements for mobilization to the site along attending
orientations with Gibson and all Supervision involved in the project, being proactive
prior to the start of the project. Supervision and myself met with the Town of Gibson to
ensure that all documentation was in place with them for the construction of our tanks. I
met with the EMT, Fire Department and Emergency Department at the Hospital to
prepare an Emergency Evacuation Plan for the site as well as discussing and later
arranging a mock run for an Emergency.

Safety Coordinator at Suncor Main Base with MinMiner Alpha Inc. developing and

project on the site as well as those delivering equipment and materials to the project and
