I bring 20 plus years of construction experience to the industry. Throughout my career, I have gained knowledgeable
hands-on skills in the health and safety fields, to ensure the well-being of employees. As a Health and Safety
Manager, my duties and roles is the responsibility of the health and safety of employees and mange field employees
working under me. My past and some current responsibilities include the following, determining job hazard
analysis, conducting morning safety meetings, and sight administration duties for safety which include site safety
audits, interface with client and sub-contractors. I have worked in refineries, mine sites, energy plants, and
government projects that required high clearance. I have done MSHA training on site, and other task specific

Professional Background
Construction Manager 2015
Brahma Group Inc.
I managed seven crews during a shutdown at Morenci Mine in Arizona. I was responsible for the B Belts and
chutes. I also managed the mill chute that required replacing all the liners in it. We replaced pulleys, liners, and
fabricated new drop station in the Head of B-7 and throughout the other belt lines. I worked day shift that averaged
fifteen hour days, three day shut down. I was given close to sixties employees and had to separate them into crews
and manage their work and assure they had all the tools and supplies needed to complete the tasks safely and on time
to turn over the product to the client.
Health and Safety Manager 2014-2015
Brahma Group Inc.
I managed the safety department for Brahma at Tesoro Salt Lake Refinery project. I was involved in various
aspects of the project which included the new build of the Treated Gas Unit and the Truck Offloading ramp. I
controlled incident prevention/management, checked permits and performed the morning safety meeting with all
involved with the projects. My duties also included new hire training, ministered drug tests as needed, assisted in
the badging process, task training, behavioral and safety site audits. I also was responsible for the field safety
manager working at the Truck offloading area. Once a month, I had to give a safety presentation at the all hands
meeting that consisted of over 500 employees with a topic that was prevalent to our current project scope. I tracked
the FLARE system and assured all employees were in compliance. I assisted the Project manager in meetings and
other areas of the project. I completed and turned in all required documentation that was required from the client
which included but not limited to the training matrix, behavioral observations, safety training documents and SDS’s
as new chemicals came on site. I managed all purchases pertaining to safety and controlled all safety supplies that
were onsite and all new ones coming in. I implemented a safety incentive program to show our employees that we
appreciated all their hard work and putting safety first. As terminations and layoffs occurred, I was responsible for
obtaining the badges and other equipment that was issued to the employee and escorted them to the gate. I also
continually coached employees on the proper and safest way to perform their task, and reprimanded those that were
repeated safety violators to try and assure their safety. I attended numerous meetings that were safety related and
also for scheduling.
Safety Manager 2013-2014
Brahma Group Inc.
I was responsible for the health and safety of over 200 employees at an Ethanol Plant in Kansas. I submitted all
required documentation to the client, update training matrix, and turned in all required environmental monthly
forms. I manage all field safety reps and assured Brahma employees were in compliance under OSHA’s standards
and met the client’s (ABEINSA) standards to assure the safety of our employees. I performed a morning safety
meeting with all employees and attended a morning meeting with all fore mans. I was responsible for all new hire
training, ministered drug test, and site specific training. I maintained our SDS and kept it current, and I followed up
at the end of each week with a full roll up to assure all equipment was inspected and marked appropriate. I worked
long hours and I was involved in all aspects of the new construction, including purchasing consumables on my credit
card to keep the project moving forward and keeping crews busy. I managed incidents in a careful fashion to benefit
the company and the individual involved. I was in constant communication with the client usually by phone or by
emails to answer any questions or problems that would arise, and then communicate them to our employees.
Construction Manager 2012-2013
Brahma Group Inc.
I was responsible for managing crews on numerous sites to assure they were being productive and safe while
performing their duties. I assisted in the bidding process; I researched and put together a list of vendors for supplies
and other construction needs. I put together man power and hours, tracked and documented all forms required by
the client and Brahma. I assured that JSA’s and site audits were being completed daily and followed through.
• April – June 2012 First duty as an Assistant Project Manager for Brahma at Deseret Chemical Depot
(Tooele, Utah), we disassembled a DAVINCH system with zero injuries/reportables and finished 6 weeks
ahead of schedule. I managed multiple crews and instructed them on their daily tasks.
• July – September 2012 Helped bid a job at Tesoro and we were awarded the contract. I started the
project but got pulled off to manage a demolition project in AZ.
• September 2012 - March 2013 Construction Manager overseeing a huge demolition job at Freeport
McMoran Mine in Arizona completed the project on schedule and on budget with zero incidents. I
oversaw the Project and managed all personnel, purchased supplies and set up vendors for future materials
and rentals. I corresponded with the client and attended all schedule outlook meetings and updated weekly
progress.
• April – July 2013 Completed a small project at DCD, a small demolition project that consisted of
removing burners and piping; my role was oversight for JT Thorpe.
Safety Supervisor 2011 to 2012
Ames Construction Magna, Utah
I was responsible for the health and safety of the employees on all my sites. Oversaw safety of KUCC crusher and
Leach project, and also performed safety audits at all the crushers / pits throughout Utah. I was responsible for
implementing the SHEAP, JSA and RA., and I also interacted with the client and subcontractors for Ames.
• I completed the first phase of the Crusher Relocation Project with zero incidents or accidents.
• I introduced Hazard Recognition program to involve self-awareness for employees.
• I was able to administer several duties at once to assure that all my sites were free from any health and safety
hazards throughout Utah.
• I interacted with MSHA inspectors at all our crushing and pit sites throughout Utah and delegated any problems
that would come up.
Safety Manager 2011
Brahma Group Inc.
During this time, I was assigned as the site safety manager for Brahma at the Chevron Salt Lake Refinery. My
responsibilities included writing and distributing all required permits to all crews; ensure all OSHA, Brahma’s
and Chevrons requirements were met. This included becoming familiar with several units that consisted of the
Coker, FCCU, Crude Unit, Alky Unit and the Tank Farm. Brahma was performing a shutdown in most of these
units and had several employees spread out throughout the refinery. I also was responsible for the SSE Mentor
program to ensure the safety of all employees that were new to the site.
Safety Manager 2008 to 2011
Brahma Group Inc. Tooele, Utah
While at EG&G, Brahma was onsite during the process of receiving the VPP OSHA status. Brahma walked away
from that project with 0 incidents. I performed a morning safety briefing every day so that everyone (including the
client) was well informed and our safety awareness remained high. I implemented a safety incentive program that
helped our safety record while Brahma was there. I was responsible for obtaining all work permits and work orders
at the beginning of each day as well as when a new job (task) would arise. I trained all new employees with site
specifics as well as any task training that involved additional special training. I was also given clearance through the
FBI to work on the Depot without an escort. I processed all employees so that they could obtain a badge and come
onsite, which include interacting with the EG&G personnel. I was in charge of lockers and masks, and new
employees receiving all proper training.
• I was able to communicate with the client on a professional level to implement all their policies and procedures.
• I continually trained all our sub-contractors on Brahma’s safety policies to keep them informed on our SOP’s.
Safety Manager 2007 to 2008
Keene Coating (KUCC) Salt Lake City, Utah
Assisted in management of business operations by maintaining records and files, preparing cost and inventory
reports, and ordering safety supplies. I performed morning and evening safety meetings to ensure operational safety.
Processed all new employees through medical, orientation, and badging.
I was responsible for the overall health and safety of 50 employees at a high level hazard job site which included
working in regulated areas.
