Death Penalty Pros And Cons
Opposing the Death Penalty When discussing the death penalty and its pros and cons, this subject
can quickly become very controversial. Can one really believe that an individual can commit a
crime so wicked that they should be put to death by another individual? The death penalty or
"capital punishment" is defined as a government sanctioned practice where a person is sentenced to
death by the state as a punishment for a crime. I oppose the death penalty, it should be put to an end
and terminated because the actual applications for the death penalty is random and capricious, the
death penalty violates the eighteenth amendment of the United States constitution, and even the
guilty should have the right to life.
The Death Penalty and Similar Crimes
To begin with, the death penalty should be terminated because the actual applications for the death
penalty is random, and capricious. In other words, the death penalty system here in the United States
is applied in an unfair manner. According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the death
penalty system is an unjust method against people because it is largely dependent on how much
income and money the individual has, the intellectual skills of their attorneys, the victim's race and
or ethnicity and exactly where the crime took place. It is proven that people of color is executed
more compared to white people, more so if the victim is white. Innocent people are often executed
by the state. Over one hundred and fifty–six

Vigilante Injustice: The Pro-Life Movement
Kaveny Cathleen informs us on what the pro–life activist stance is all about in the article "Vigilante
injustice: the right to life & the rule of law". In this article, she comes to inform us by telling the
story of an extremist pro–life activist Robert Lewis Dear. His actions against abortion providers
have affected the views of the public. Those actions have also affected multiple other pro–life
activists in the pro–life movement. She openly states that with the outcome of these events, "it
became increasingly clear that opposition to abortion was his motivation, which put many pro–life
activists on the defensive".

As I am filled with even greater questions of morality towards the pro–life movement. Are pro–life
supports willing to justify murder to stop a woman from aborting an unwanted child? Fears of
aggression like this are made real in this article as we are told of the dilemma this issue raises for
those supporting pro–life. Some see it as being justifiable thus making dear's action justifiable
meanwhile, others see it as being wrong as it goes against the meaning of pro–life. I've come to
think through this article that this movement wants to end the abortion practice but is unwilling to
support those that have taken direct action.
By the time I reached the ending of this article. I believe that I may have gained great clarity and a
better understanding on this issue. Because it has told me that people are at very opposite ends of
how the pro–life activism. Though we all understand why the view is so controversial to the public.
Killing a person will always be wrong in any way as it is against the law, unlike abortion.
My personal overview of this article is one that is filled with indifferences towards pro–life.
Nerveless it has confirmed my rejection of the pro–life movement. Because it has informed me of
how those inside the movement cannot act in coherence with each

Pre Screening For Disabilities And Genetic Enhancement
Pre–screening for disabilities and genetic enhancement are vital factors in the decision to place
restrictions for selective genetic abortion. All human life should be of equal worth, supporting the
ideal that life–and–death decisions for seriously compromised newborns should not be based on the
quality of life (CITE 3). Screening for genetic diseases through the use of in vitro fertilization, or
IVF, limits and excludes those with disabilities from our society, exposing limits on morality. These
include transgression of divine laws, transgression of natural laws, introduction of an unacceptable
risk of harm, introduction of a threat to genetic diversity, introduction of a threat to one's common
genetic heritage, paradoxical counterproductively, a misuse of social resources, a widened gap
between the "haves and "have nots", promotion of social conformity and homogeneity, and lastly
undermining free choice (Fisher, 2013). From these points it is important to recognize the impact it
has upon our society, and how we perceive, and behave towards those with a disability. The practise
of introducing selective abortion through the use of IVF and genetic testing will create a hostile
environment going forward into the future for those who escape detection before birth. This will
cause potential discrimination against those with a disability, making them liable to be looked down
upon by the community and unfit to be alive (Fisher, 2013). Thus this can create a second class or

The Moral Permissibility Of Abortion
Moral Permissibility of Abortion
Abortion has been a debating issue for many decades. Most of the countries, permit abortion,
however, some religions and countries consider abortion to be morally and ethically impermissible.
In Canada, the abortion was legalized in 1988 based on the fact that the law should not force a
women to carry a fetus beyond her priorities as it would interfere with her body and her own
securities towards life. Many would argue against this view by stating that a fetus does have a right
to live and thus, abortion is morally wrong. I believe that abortion is morally and ethically
permissible as long as it does not violate significant rights of others.
The case of Deb and Derek is a perfect example to support my view towards abortion. The couple
who has been married for two years have realized that Deb is 16 weeks pregnant with a child who
has down's. Down syndrome is genetic disorder in which a person has 47 chromosomes instead of
46 which results in birth defects including mental retardation and delayed physical, social and
mental development (Smolkin, Bourgeois & Findler, 2010, p. 165).
Derek is supports abortion because he thinks objectively the child can cause problems in their
relationship, newly setup business and their overall lifestyle. On the other hand, Deb is thinking
emotionally and feels that she should not abort the child and taking care of a child with down's will
not be as tough as Derek thinks. Later on, when Deb's realized that

Definition Essay On Anti Abortion
Definition of anti–abortion, anti–abortion means that someone disagrees with a woman who is
pregnant that decides to take out/kill the life of a baby still inside the womb. A woman can have an
abortion up to 24 weeks, even though starting at 20 weeks is when the baby has developed all arms
and legs and has a heartbeat, it can now start feeling pain too. The definition of pro–life, pro–life
means to be there for the child who's life that was for, maybe not physically but people could help
by donating to children's homes, or help organizations that educate teens about safe sex plus people
could help the health department reach out to young girls who need birth control or condoms. There
are many different ways to be pro–life. These are just the names and examples of people who
disagree with abortion but there are people who do agree, "those who support abortion want to be
known as "pro–choice" rather than "pro–abortion" (Pro–Life Or Anti–Abortion?). They say the

Unwind Themes
Unwind written by Neal Shusterman is scoped with ideas that are very relevant in our society today.
The novel is based in the future where a child is both terminated and yet kept alive, however in a
divided state. The main themes in the novel are the right to life and the right to do what we want
with our own bodies, these ideas are in all three of the main characters lives. The idea of the right to
life is very important in today's society the reason for this is that taking away someone's life is
murder, except in our society it comes in all different forms. "We have a right to our lives! We have
a right to choose what happens to our bodies" –Connor.
Firstly, Shusterman uses the main characters to portray the theme of the right to life. Connor gets his
life taken away from him at the age of sixteen when his parents sign his life away to be unwind, but
it wasn't his decision he didn't even know about it until he went snooping around and found the
unwind card that would take him to his death, the worst of all was that his family was going on
vacation the day after he was going to be unwind. "So Connor went looking a little deeper when his
parents went out, and he found it the unwind order." this shows us that Connor's parents didn't even
have the decency to tell him and the worst thing was it was the holiday they were planning to go on
"The date on the order was the day before the Bahamas trip." Shusterman used these quotes to
express that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author's purpose was to use the main characters to make the reader think of what abortion
actually means and what our rights are to our own bodies. Since I have read this book, it's showed
me that everyone's meaning of life is different and that we have more rights than we might think.

Right we can see Pro–Lifers marching in the 'Rally for Life' with banners protesting to abortion.
Leading up to the Controversy
Leading up to the Controversy in the 70s and 80s – An introduction to where it all Began
Before the abortion debates in the 70s to 80s, starting in the 1880s when the birth rate began to
decline discussions began to spark over topics regarding sexual health, contraception and a woman's
right to abortion. Then the topic of abortion became a public issue again in the 1920s–1930s after
the first world war, politicians started to talk about the controversy, doctors spoke out and women's
groups stated their liberal views, and news papers wrote columns on the beginning abortion
controversy. At this time New Zealand began to see a strong support for the anti–abortion party from
the Church, politicians and doctors. Many people in the 1930s were against abortion as they were
worried about passing on there genes, and because of the widespread concern over the birth rate
drop New Zealand was experiencing at this time. This was a particular concern for Frederic King of
the Plunket Society and Doris Gordon of the Obstetrical Society which they voiced numerous times.

The Persuasive Essay : The Ethics Of Abortion
How would you feel, if I told you that your mother wanted to have an abortion when you were a
fetus just because she didn't want to raise you, didn't have the time for you, or the money. Or didn't
want the responsibility that came with having a child. What if I told you that half of the women that
get pregnant in the U.S. today have abortions, and their main reason is most likely because it might
interfere with their work, education, or relationships. Which is selfish. If you think about it, they
think that the the baby inside them means nothing. They don't deserve to live a happy life or a life at
all. Also they think it's their body, but it's not it's the baby's body too. This controversial topic has
been an a highly debated argument for many years, whether it's ethical to kill your unborn child or
or not! Also the fact that the rate is growing tremendously. Abortions first started in the 1820s. At
that time women knew that they were and are killing their fetus or embryo. Some women are not
ready to become parents to take the responsibly. Personally, I think that having an abortion is
morally wrong because you are killing an unborn fetus or embryo, while it is barely starting to
develop. First of all, abortions have been becoming a conflicting issue during the past several
years. The first reason why you shouldn't have an abortion is because you cannot deprive someone of
life and of civil rights. Just because they don't have a say of choosing, if they want a life or not.

The Right Of The Fetus Life
Marqui's famous article is against abourtion. His article is different and he tries to explain why
killing and adult human is wrong ans see if the same reason works for abortion. The main argument
is the idea that a fetus is considered a person at the moment of conceptrion. "since the fetus is
considered a person than the has a futuree like ours. The fetus will have plenty of experiences and
happinies just like any other being."( page448)
Unlike Marquis, Thomson 's famous article defended abortion. Based on her premises, the fetus is a
person from the moment of conception. Thomson main argument in the article the right of the fetus
life is not absolutely right. Thus, she defended that abortion is morally acceptable in some cases by
talking about "The violinist experiment", The Burglar and The Case of the People–Seeds. "Every
person has a right to life. So the fetus has a right to life. No dough the mother has a right to decide
what shall happen in and to her body; everyone would grant that. But surely a person's right to life is
stronger and more stringent than the mother's right to decide what happens in and to her body, and
so outweighs it. So the fetus may not be killed; an abortion may not be performed."(Thomson,
page438) Thomson talks about true premises. Every person has a right to life and everyone has the
right to control their body. A mother has the right to choose what will happen to her body, but a life
is more important. Therefore, the true premises have right

Argument For Abortion : The Freedom Of Choose Life

Argument for Abortion: The Freedom to Choose Life
Judith Jarvis Thomson argued that the "the impermissibility of abortion does not follow from the
premises that every fetus is a person and that every person has a right to life" (Thomson) Thomson
distinguishes between what we ought to do versus what we are morally required to. This essay will
show how abortions are permissible and not permissible according to Thomson.
Thomson first starts about her argument that abortion may still be morally justified because the fetus
inside does not the moral right to the use of the woman's body. Thomson goes on to say it is not
necessary for the woman to allow the fetus to continue the use of the woman body to have the right
to life (except in some cases). Thomson goes on to state in her argument that in some cases the fetus
may have the right to life but that the woman is not morally required to grant that life to the fetus, or
make large sacrifices to keep another person alive. Thomson says that most abortions are
permissible because a," mother has the right to decide what happens in and to her body, and that this
decision might outweigh the fetus right to life". (Thomson) Thomson proposes a thought experiment

Essay On Gov. Bruce Rauner
On the campaign trail, Gov. Bruce Rauner assured voters he had "no social agenda." So why is he
now considering expanding taxpayer–funded abortion access in Illinois?
It was never any secret that Gov. Rauner and his wife, Diana, are longtime supporters of the
abortions–rights lobby.
However, Gov. Rauner won the Republican primary and subsequent general election by convincing
anti–abortion voters and principled Republicans that he was genuine in the statement he repeated
over and over during his campaign: He is focused on fixing Illinois' myriad economic issues and has
"no social agenda."

Beyond supporting Rauner during his 2014 campaign, I also briefly worked in his administration
this summer. I learned firsthand during that time how strident the Rauners are in their support of
abortion, so I'm not going to attempt here to prove to them how morally wrong it is. I won't try to
convince them that abortion is murder; that claiming to fight for women's rights is contrary to
allowing millions of them to be exterminated in utero; that science proves life begins at conception;
that pre–born children are more than just "clumps of cells." (Perhaps on this last item, the Rauners
can refer to a recent social media post by the Ounce of Prevention Fund, where Diana Rauner is
president. A Sept. 18 Ounce of Prevention Fund Facebook post said: "Parenting begins before your
baby is even born: Did you know babies' taste buds begin developing at 8 weeks? Research suggests
that what you eat during your pregnancy impacts what your child eats as they grow up – so time to
start developing their taste for veggies now!")
Since moral arguments will not resonate, I'll stick to the political and economic ones.
In April, the governor's office stated he did not support HB 40 due to "the sharp divisions of opinion
of taxpayer funding of abortion." Rauner's initial assessment of the situation is correct, and he
should stick to it. Taxpayers on both sides of the

Persuasive Essay On Euthanasia
Euthanasia
Moving away from the criminals, another form of killing would be euthanasia which happens a lot
in hospitals and medical institutions. This is what people commonly call as mercy killing as they
regard it as something merciful to extend to someone whose life depends only on the machines they
are hooked on to. On my end, it will never be right to just abandon your loved ones and give up on
them in their last few moments in life. Assisted suicide or mercy killing is still a form of killing no
matter what reasons the person has.
Euthanasia is a form of killing although it is classified to be a form of mercy since it will cause relief
not only to the patient but also to the family members. Despite the intention, it is still a form of
killing. It is still the idea of taking away the life of your family member and abandoning him/her in
the last moment of his/her life. Even if it is requested by the patient already, that is similar to
assisting suicide and, in a way, it is taking away a person's life.
Many points have been raised in certain websites about assisted suicide or mercy killing having both
the pros and cons (debatewise.org n.p.). Among the points that were highlighted were the possibility
of getting cured or finding a new treatment. It is possible if the family member and even the patient
would hold a little longer, the patient could have been treated or given the chance to be better from
his/her condition. On the end of the person who will decide, it will

Persuasive Essay : Why Abortion Is Wrong?
Why abortion is wrong
We all are created equal, there are certain rights given by God that you and I are not free to ignore.
Therefore, the first and most basic right is the right of life. The exercise of our right to liberty and
our right to the pursuit of happiness is secondary to respecting the right to life. Our pursuit of
happiness must not compromise any other person's right to live. So, the right to life is not some
modern anti–abortion slogan. It is the most fundamental assertion of the document upon which this
nation was founded.
Abortion is murder at any stage of pregnancy, and acts against U.S. constitution. Furthermore not
only does abortion harm innocent babies, but also raises the risk of medical complications for the
mother.
Abortion can emotionally affect each woman differently, mothers who use an abortion as an easy
exit of an unwanted pregnancy can suffer of persistent sadness, regret, anger, shame, depression,
feelings of guilt or worthlessness, anxiety, thoughts of death, suicide or hopeless. Studies within the
first few weeks after the abortion have found that between 40 and 60 percent of women questioned
report negative reactions. Within 8 weeks after their abortions, 55% expressed guilt, 44%
complained of nervous disorders, 36% had experienced sleep disturbances, 31% had regrets about
their decision, and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their family doctor.
(Abortionfacts.com) the emotional side effects of having an abortion are just as real as physical side
effects.
Consequently, cervical damage is another leading cause of long term complications following
abortion. Normally the cervix is rigid and tightly closed. In order to perform an abortion, the cervix
must be stretched open with a great deal of force. During this forced dilation there is almost always
caused microscopic tearing of the cervix muscles and occasionally severe ripping of the uterine
wall, as well. About 10% suffer immediate complications; one–fifth are life–threatening:

The Controversial Issue Of Abortion
In recent discussions of abortion, the controversial issue has become whether or not women should
be given the right to take their unborn child's life away. Many believe in all having the right to live
while others believe in the right to be given a choice. Women do not want to be given restrictions,
they want to be able to have a voice when making decisions. With abortion women have a hard time
making their decision based upon the judgement others make if the decision of abortion is followed
through or also finding a place for additional help. Even though abortion is legal, with the belief of
unfairness to abort a child, doctors are unwilling to provide their services. Abortion is viewed
differently to many but it is determined upon the situation. While I do believe in the right of all
humans being able to live, I stand by the right's woman deserve by empowering their own decisions.
In many cases women have a difficult time finding someone who is willing to understand their
needs or wants. Americans have come quick to judge women if it involves them killing their own
child, though not all situations are brought clear. Dr. Willie J. Parker, is one of few who believe in
women having rights. Dr. Parker has decided to give woman a chance to abort their child because of
the understanding of his job. When returning to his hometown to perform abortions, he states "If
there is an outbreak and you have the ability to relieve suffering, you rush to the site of the need."

Abortion In Canada
Abortion, one of the biggest controversies of all time, has been argued more heavily over the recent
past decades. In developed nations, cajoled abortions are the safest form of medical procedures; if it

abortions. Annually, as the abortion statistics are released there's been criticism in the mainstream
media. More than 40 percent of women confirm they have aborted a pregnancy at least once in their
life. Although millions of abortion have been performed since January 28, 1988 in Canada, the
debate over whether it should have been legalized is argued vigorously by many Canadians, as well

Pro life although, support the idea that every child has a right to live, even if the mother is not
financially able to aid the child and the child would struggle everyday along with their mother.
These children would be underprivileged and could potentially die from the circumstances they'd be
forced to live in. To some countries it's a burdensome issue to be talked about, whereas other
countries have come to a stand to where they are on the spectrum on this subject. Norma McCorvey,
known as Jane Roe, was a Texas local who needed to obtain an abortion. The Texas law prohibited
abortions except to save the pregnant mother's life. She had soon had given birth but only to give up
the baby for adoption. Ever since she has come forward and changed sides on the abortion debate.
As she filed her case to the U.S. Supreme Court, she received support from many women and of
course, displeasure from others. In 1973, the landmark decision had been made that abortion would
be legal in the U.S but may be restricted by the states to varying degrees under the Fourteenth
amendment to the Constitution. Pro–choice defends and protects the people, it is ultimately the
woman's life that would be affected, who would the government be to take that away from the
people? We live in a developed country based on freedoms, and women have and should continue to
have the freedom to hat choice. Women have the right to their own body just as the same as people
have to make their own decisions. If the government controls women's choices on abortion, before
you know it, the government will control other personal decisions that people make; like getting
plastic surgery, how much they weigh, ect. The government should not dictate people's judgements
and solutions to their issues. As statistics have shown, it is estimated that there are 43 million
abortions a year. It

The Death Penalty Should Be An Option
When presented with a heinous crime, the question of whether the death penalty should be an option
has often sparked heated debates between left wing liberals and right wing conservatives. Those on
the left would most likely argue that capital punishment does not serve any beneficial purpose in our
society. In contrast, conservatives, provided that they have no religious motives to oppose the death
penalty, would likely argue that it is a necessary punishment for heinous crimes. For thousands of
years the death penalty has been used as the ultimate form of punishment for a vast number of
crimes and in even more numerous methods. Babylon's King Hammurabi identified 25 different
crimes that justified the death penalty; the list did not however include murder. A popular form of
punishment during the colonial period in New England, over 222 crimes were punishable by death.
These numbers began to dwindle to zero once it was determined that capital punishment was
inhumane by the British government ("The history of capital punishment"). The movement to
abolish the death penalty has spread to many other countries around the world but has yet to have a
widespread effect in the United States. Still currently legal in the U.S. in 31 states, the death penalty
remains as a reminder of mankind's barbaric past (Facts about the Death Penalty). Considering how
well humans have developed intellectually and innovatively over the centuries, capital punishment
seems like an awfully

lost sight of what it stands for, choosing to focus on what they are against instead. She states that
most women are pro–life, and that they cannot believe in a version of feminism that excludes the
ability of women to nurture life. She believes that her movement, the pro–life movement, empowers

The Right And Life Of Abortion
The Right to Life "As long as there is life, there is hope" reads The Cage by Ruth Minsky Sender.
Abortion is defined in the Merriam–Webster dictionary as "the deliberate termination of a pregnancy
and is most often preformed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy." Beginning early on in history,
abortions were viable solutions for immigrants, as their pregnancy rates were higher than the natives
of an area or region. As timed passed, laws on abortion began to create a war on the separation of
Church and State. These issues have yet to suppress. The Catholic Church defines abortions as "the
direct and purposeful taking of the life of the unborn child" according to the Catholic News Agency.

How can one agree with killing off these cells in which life is founded upon? Truly, life that is based
upon these group of cells are fully human from the moment of conception to the moment of death.
"Only machines such as clocks and cars come into existence part by part. Living beings come into
existence all at once and gradually unfold their world of innate potential." (10 Reasons). In relation
to faith and religion, Catholicism teaches that humans are endowed with the image and likeness of
God from the moment of conception. Abortion disregards the imprinted value of a human–life by
undermining its development. Karen Pazol states, "Among the 49 areas that provided data for 2006,
a total of 846,181 abortions were reported" (Pazol). Almost one million innocent lives are taken
annually because abortion is shrugged of as a solution to unwanted pregnancies. "These actions
result in distress for not only the pregnant woman, but also her family. Though she may not tell
anyone, eventually the truth reveals itself through circumstance, guilt, or mistake" (Reasons
Abortions). Many people overlook the psychological effects of abortion and how devastating these
choices can be. Christianet claims that abortion can truly tear a family apart when they say, "The
abortion mentality destroys the family by making it more difficult for new Americans who survive
beyond the womb to find the family welded together by the indissoluble bond of

Mostication, Is Abortion Is Morally Permissible?
The moral question of abortion, is abortion morally permissible? The question has been a concern
for many philosophers in the contemporary world. In general, abortion is a very fragile topic for
people all over the world, especially for people who consider themselves to be pro–life and rest on
the claim that a fetus is a person and that "every person has a right to life" (48). This is the premise
of opposition to abortion that most people rely on. That premise would only work if, and only if, we
all can agree on if the fetus is considered a human. If the fetus is considered a human then we can
logically say that abortion is impermissible because we would be taking a life; conversely, if the
fetus is not a person then abortion would be allowed. Such is not a perfect world where everything is
black and white, free thinking gives people strong opinions about when life begins causing two sides
of Thomson's argument. Being open minded like every great philosopher should, Thomson stands in
between the fence and claims the conclusion that abortion is permissible under certain
circumstances and that there are scenarios in which getting an abortion is considered impermissible.
Thomson's argument does a great job in explaining her reason through the use of eight thought
experiments to support her main claim and I will critique her reasoning and create objections to her
claim for the purpose of a wholesome critique and to leave the readers to decide where the extension
of their morals/ethics lies to pick a side in this controversial topic.
Thomson does not think that a fetus at the moment of conception is a person using the analogy that
an acorn is not yet an oak tree. Assuming that a fetus is a person and every person has a right to life,
the fetus also has the right to live. Thomson began with her own objection that if a person has the
right to life then the mother also has the right to choose what happens in and to her body. She then
sets the reader up by saying that surely a fetus' right to life takes precedent over the mother's right to
choose what happens to her and her body. She assumes worst case scenario and respond with a
thought experiment to counter act her worst case scenario. The thought experiment

A Defense Of Abortion By Judith Jarvis Thomson
Abortion is a major issue that has lead to many different opinions, ideas, and various debates.
Proponents for abortion often use the fact that a fetus is not a moral person to justify their position,
whereas those who are against the issue often claim that a fetus is a moral person and should deserve
every right a moral person has, including the right to live. Judith Jarvis Thomson, however, takes an
entirely different approach. In her article "A Defense of Abortion" Thomson argues that even if a
fetus is considered to be a human being does not automatically ensure it the right to live. Thomson's
position leads to many oppositions and critiques. Foot's article, for example, " Killing versus Letting
Die" attempts to point out the flaws in Thomson's argument. Foot claims that a fetus' status must be
considered when addressing the issue of abortion and that Thomson's argument is invalid. Although
Thomson's argument may seem valid at first, Foot does offer considerable evidence critiquing the
validity of Thomson's argument. One of the main issues Foot has with Thomson's argument is the
analogy her paper consistently relies on to relay her position. In the analogy, a person is kidnapped
and placed in a kidney machine that is connected to an ill violinist, who is in desperate need of a
functioning kidney. With that analogy, Thomson argues that an individual's right to agency trumps
over another person's right to life if that person has to depend on and is a burden to the

The Rights Of Life And Civil Rights
There are certain things in the life, that we, the people of this nation take for granted. Growing up in
a certain period can cause a different outlook on life, thus resulting in a clashing of fundamental
ideas on how life should be lived. While many of us go about our lives differently we all are granted
access to a list of unalienable rights. These rights which as humans are given to us at birth. The
rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The color of a man's skin does not grant him
access to these rights nor does it deny him access. For over a century throughout this nation people
were denied these rights due to the color of their skin. Many would argue as the confederate did
these rights do not apply to "blacks" because the black race is inferior. Although, these ideals may
seem idiotic now this was the ideology of the people who enslaved my people throughout the years.
The argument that was made against slavery was simplistic and one that I agree with whole
heartedly. On page sixty one of Stephens cornerstone speech it is written "the prevailing ideas
entertained by him and most of the leading statesmen at the time of the formation of the laws of
nature; that it was wrong in principle, socially morally, and politically" (61). The difference in a
persons social and political views are subjective to many factors. The time a person grew up, their
region, and social status play a role in those views. However, as humans we all share the same the

The Right To Life : Abortion : Right Or Wrong?
Each and every day throughout our universe, professionals in the medical field suck thousands of
babies from their mothers' wombs in a procedure known as abortion. The law not only protects but
provides consent to both the mother and medical professionals for these unjust procedures. Life
begins at the exact moment of conception, and an innocent life should not be taken away under any
circumstance. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on whether or not abortion is deemed right
or wrong. However, when it is all said and done, the babies discernibly have no right of protection
or life themselves, because of an argument that regards when a fetus is decided to be a life. The right
to life is the most important right that we the people have. The argument of this essay will provide
evidence to why abortion is wrong. For the same exact reason as killing the audience reading this
essay is also considered wrong. I will just establish, rather than assume, that killing the audience is
severely wrong. Consider the following standard anti–abortion argument: Fetuses are both alive and
human. Humans have the right to life. Therefore, unborn babies have the right to life. Most certainly,
women have the right to decide what they do with their own bodies, but the right to life overrides
the right of a woman wanting to possess control over her own body. Therefore, abortion is unlawful.
The life of the woman is not and should not be the sole concern and the life of the baby should be

Introduction
National Right to Life Committee(NRLC) is the second oldest and largest pro–life organization in
the United States. This social movement organization deals with several life–related issues like
abortion, assisted suicide or euthanasia, cloning, Medicare issues and so on. However, my focus
topics are "Abortion" and "Assisted Suicide/ Euthanasia" because these are the two most common
issues life–related issues.
Abortion
The rate of abortion in the United States has been increasing rapidly since 1973, with an estimated
total of over 55 million abortions. Research also shows that more Americans now commit abortion
for less important reasons than rape of incest since the legalization–approximately 93% of the
women who carry out abortion explain that they do it for "social reasons". However, National Right
to Life Committee(NRLC) provides some normative claims as to why should not be legalized as the
rhetoric of their argument. The members of this organization explain the similarities between
abortion and murder; the diary of an unborn child and the pains that they face during abortion. They
also present some scientific theories that relate to pregnancy and life. According to science, as soon
as fertilization takes place in a woman's body, a new life begins; the heart begins to beat

The Perspective On Abortion From A Utilitarian View
Analyzing the perspective on abortion from a utilitarian view is quite hot and cold. In this we weigh
the pros and cons of each situation at hand. "When there are multiple choices with different utilities,
or wen utilities conflict, we should always pick the greatest one." (Weston p.151) If a person is to
decide if a person be executed they must decide, which outcome is the superior one. Killing a man
who is possibly innocent or keep them alive but they may not be innocent. In this situation not
killing at all outweighs the other options. Think of it this way, it is decided that a person will not be
executed and instead spend life in prison. This wouldn't effect anyone for the fact that they will still
be safe from harm from this person. Then if they have the possibility of being innocent everyone can
have a clear conscience. If a woman is deciding whether to have an abortion there must be some
situations to think about. If a woman is raped she should be allowed to make that decision. Weighing
the pros and cons on this life is tricky. A woman could get an abortion and not realize she has
aborted an innocent life. This is just the same as executing someone who may be innocent.
Innocence becomes a key word. For abortions people claim that it is not life yet and there is no
conscious thought. A fetus would be considered an innocent life. A fetus has not yet committed a
crime. A fetus has the potential to grow up to be a criminal but it is unknown. Each situation must

The Main Features Of The Argument On The Nature Of...
The key features of the argument on the nature of abortion developed by Judith Thomson first
focuses on the extreme anti–abortion view, second the right to life, third the right to live and use the
mother's body, fourth having rights and their being certain limits, and fifth the good Samaritan and
the responsibilities of the parents. The extreme anti–abortion view develops a thinking that when a
mother's life is threatened if she should carry her baby to full term what is the decision she must
make. Opponents of abortion believe that the fetus's life is more important than the mother's life and
that the mother should not abort the child. Even though, opponents may believe that the fetus being
a person has every right to life so does the mother. A mother aborting her child cannot be considered
an act of murder, because she is only doing it to save her own life. For example as stated in the text:
There you are lying in bed with the violinist and the director of the hospital comes in and tells you
that your kidneys are failing, and that you will die within a month. But you have to stay where you
are because unplugging yourself directly from the violinist would be considered directly killing an
innocent person; (Thomson, 270)
A person may not seriously consider that someone would willingly sit there and keep themselves
plugged up to someone when they are unwillingly dying because if it. This relates to how a woman
surely can defend her own life against the threat posed by her

Illegalization of Capital Punishment
Audience: Citizens of States with Capital Punishment
"Two wrongs don't make a right" is a saying that a lot of mothers use with their children regarding
their actions. This saying also goes hand in hand with the issue of capital punishment. Capital
punishment has been a penalty for crimes in the United States since before the Declaration of
Independence was created. Some states have abolished this type of penalty for criminals; however,
in some states this type of punishment is still completely legal. Many state governments clearly
believe that capital punishment is a valid and moral solution for severe crimes committed in their
individual state. Capital punishment, however, is completely immoral, and there are a lot of risks
that follow this type of penalty. Capital punishment disregards the eighth amendment in the Bill of
Rights, it opposes many religious beliefs, it is expensive for taxpayers, and most importantly it
creates the possibility of innocent people being penalized for a crime that they did not commit. The
death penalty should be made illegal in all states in the United States in order to protect the rights
and safety of the citizens. The eighth amendment in the Bill of Rights specifically states that
excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment
inflicted ("Eighth Amendment" It can be argued that capital punishment, also known as

The Controversial Issue Of Abortion
Abortion. The subject of abortion has become one of the most controversial issues in health care;
deciding whether to abort a life or keep it. There are many ethical issues surrounding the topic.
When does the fetus become a person? Is it when they grow arms and legs? Is it when there is a
heartbeat? Is there an exact point, where ethically, having an abortion is wrong? There are many
reasons people opt to have an abortion. Perhaps the child is bared through non consensual sex or
from the failure of birth control. It is considered acceptable under those circumstances to end a life
mostly because it's a life that wasn't exactly wanted in the first place, but is it acceptable for a child
's life to end when the parents discover their child has a genetic disorder? Now, through genetic
testing, parents can see if their child has a genetic disorder before their child is even born, and many
parents consider or even opt to abort their child due to the discovery of a disability. In The Globe
and Mail, Ian Brown writes an interesting article on the controversial issue of abortion and genetic
testing through his personal experience with his son Walker. In I'm glad I never had to decide
whether my strange, lonely boy ought to exist, Ian brown describes his personal experience with his
son who has an extremely rare genetic disorder, cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome. He explains the
trials and tribulations of having a son with a rare disability and the ethical debate surrounding

People across the USA express positive and negative attitudes about abortion, the reason is because
people want to defend their beliefs. People who are pro–life belief that abortion in all circumstances
goes against morality and religious beliefs. Depending on their view point, pro–life attitudes can be
negative or positive. Pro and anti–abortion attitudes' can be negative in the sense that some people's
reactions tend to harm others while others impose their ideas without harming. Some pro–life
protesters offended Planned Parenthood with negative words, such as calling them killers, sinners
and corrupts. According to the pro–life protesters, Planned Parenthood is stealing government's
money (Tiefendthalare, Acosta, Orme, 2017). While other pro–life protesters can have a positive

So many kids do not even get a chance in this world. Women just think that it's the only way out and
that they have no other choice. They just convince themselves that it's the right thing to do. Women
need to stop convincing themselves and actually make a stand and start doing the right thing. There
are so many other options other than abortion that women do not realize. What they do not know
that it is not the only way and it can be very harmful to them and that it is extremely harmful to the

Most doctors would say about 22 days after conception the child's heart begins to circulate its own
blood, and the heartbeat can be detected by an ultrasound. Then at just six weeks the child is starting
to form its eyelid, mouth, nose, and tongue. The electrical brain activity can be detected at week six
or seven. And people have the right to say that is not a human? Also what most mothers do not know
is that the fetus can feel the abortion procedure happening. "If the fetus is beyond 20 weeks of
gestation, I would assume that there will be pain caused to the fetus. And I believe it will be severe
and excruciating pain."("Family Research Council.")
Along with that women have to also think about the future of the child. Women who decide to get an

could have been the president of the United States, and they could have cured cancer! They could
have made a difference in this world but they never even got the chance to. A lot of women think

If a woman makes the decision to get an abortion for her own personal reasons, it should be her
responsibility to carry that child in her for nine months and give birth to him or her. If women put
themselves in the position of potential child labor, then they should have to go through with the
consequences. The women don't even have to keep the baby, give it to a couple that can't have a
child. Give the baby a chance at life and give people an opportunity to raise a child that they can't

individual should be able to possess their own future. Why do people have a say in whether another
human being gets to live their life or not? You have the right to be selfish when it comes to your own

not be selfish and do what is right. Abortion is going against the rights of individuals. Being so

Abortion (Pro–Life) Movement
Introduction
Abortion is one of the most controversial and talked about topics of our time. It is discussed in
classrooms, work places and even on the Internet. Abortion is defined as the termination of
pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in or closely followed by the death of an embryo or
fetus. This definition includes accidental abortion such as, miscarriage and stillbirths. But this is not
what is being debated. People want to know if abortion is ethical, if the fetus can feel pain, and
when it is more human than non–human. These questions are very difficult to answer and may never
be answered in our lifetime. But one thing we as humans do know is that we have opinions, ranging
from completely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To simplify this definition, it is a change in the status quo of society. To simplify even more, it is
changing from the norm. The normal way of life 70 years ago had always been the freedom to make
your own decision. In most cases that's perfectly OK, however the pro–lifers feel differently, and
that is no one should have the freedom to take another life. So essentially what they are trying to
change is the taking of life from another innocent human being. They're trying established laws in
attempts to protect and support the discourses and ideologies of their movements. One question that
will often arise is this, why are people engaged in a social movement rather than coping with these
problems on the individual basis or through institutionalized channel? The answer to this question is
fairly simple. Pro–live supporters are involved in this for the simple reason that they feel
passionately enough about it that they want to make a difference in society.
Discourses and Ideologies
Discourses and ideologies are what make a movement a movement. Essentially what a discourse is,
is what the actual movement is trying to say. What the pro–lifers say about this movement is that
abortions should not be legal. They say that every innocent human being has a right to life.

Persuasive Essay Why An Abortion Is Wrong
Why an Abortion is Wrong How would you feel, if I told you that your mother wanted to have an
abortion when you were a fetus just because she didn't want to raise you, didn't have the time for
you, or the money. Or didn't want the responsibility that came with having a child. What if I told you
that half of the women that get pregnant in the U.S. today have abortions, and their main reason is
most likely because it might interfere with their work, education, or relationships. Which is selfish.
If you think about it, they think that the the baby inside them means nothing. They don't deserve to
live a happy life or a life at all. Also they think it's their body, but it's not, it's the baby's body too.
This controversial topic has been an a highly debated argument for many years, whether it's ethical
to kill your unborn child or or not! Also the fact that the rate is growing tremendously. Abortions
first started in the 1820s. At that time, women knew that they were and are killing their fetus or
embryo. Some women are not ready to become parents to take the responsibility. Personally, I think
that having an abortion is morally wrong because you are killing an unborn fetus or embryo, while it
is barely starting to develop. First of all, abortions have been becoming a conflicting issue during the
past several years. The first reason why you shouldn't have an abortion is because you cannot

Nowadays, religious believers oppose abortion on the ground of their scientific basis. Peter Singer
argued that "...from the first moments of its existence an embryo conceived from human sperm and
eggs is a human being." (Catholic Answers, 2015). Including pre–delivery stage into existence of
human being implies that fetus is just one of the stage of human life and his/her development as like
childhood, adulthood, etc.). In that standing, fetus is not a mere body part of a woman on which she
has full freedom to cut off; therefore, abortion is a type of manslaughter, immoral, unethical, and
illegal. I find scientific basis incapable of helping to determine the case as its implication differs
across individuals ( some argue that 'a human being is capable of living independent existence
which excludes the unborn). Up to now, I did not find a persuasive argument to support my pre–
research view as a proponent of abortion; therefore, I tried to find the core of this issue from a legal
aspect by analyzing the existent statutory laws. Azerbaijan Constitution does not specify this issue
but simply states that 'everyone has the right for life' because defining that 'everyone' is the essence
of the debate. Nevertheless, Constitution also gives rights 'from the moment when they are born';
therefore, right to live may not include the unborn. Moreover,I found some hints

Abortion : The Right To Life
Ever since the case of Roe v. Wade in 1973, abortion has been one of the most contentious issues in
our society. Which later leads to the debate between pro–life and pro–choice. On the one hand, the
pro–life perspective feels that all children should have the right to live. On the other hand, the pro–
choice view believes that a woman should have the right to choose what is right for her and the
situation at hand. This debate today has widely impacted everyone in the United States. The
National Right to Life stands behind a mission which is to protect the right of souls, that is the right
to life of every human from birth to destruction. With that in mind, the group firmly believes that a
woman should not seek out abortion. NRL is strongly against abortion because it's the killing of an
innocent unborn human at the early phases of growth. The National Right to the life work with
families who are on the verge of having an abortion to help them overcome the difficult situation
and choose life for their baby. Arguably, it is inherently wrong to kill an unborn child regardless of
the conditions. According to the National Right to Life Committee, some arguments that might be
present when debating pro–life is that even a nonviable, fetus is a blessing and must be protected by
the government. Other reasons that the members of pro–life might use in defending their views is
that you can't cure a sick patient by killing them. An example of the above arguments could be if the

While Adoption is the main focus, these children are not being adopted. Pro–Choice advocates rage
if one Pro–Life family would adopt one child, there would be no children in need of homes. All the
billboards of babies being saved by abortion have higher rates of being adopted while older children
stay in foster care or state and federally funded agencies and homes. More recent information was
not available, however from the U.S. Department of Child Health and Human Services official
website the following statistics are available. The numbers are staggering and the website details
state by state. The following are the numbers for Texas alone.
Demographics: Child Welfare Summary
Texas: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 2008 2009 2010 2011
Total Children Under 18 Years 6,765,835 6,895,969 6,879,384 6,960,738
Child Maltreatment Victims 70,976 69,169 67,269 65,740

Death Penalty Debate: Pros and Cons of Capital Punishment

  • 1. Death Penalty Pros And Cons Opposing the Death Penalty When discussing the death penalty and its pros and cons, this subject can quickly become very controversial. Can one really believe that an individual can commit a crime so wicked that they should be put to death by another individual? The death penalty or "capital punishment" is defined as a government sanctioned practice where a person is sentenced to death by the state as a punishment for a crime. I oppose the death penalty, it should be put to an end and terminated because the actual applications for the death penalty is random and capricious, the death penalty violates the eighteenth amendment of the United States constitution, and even the guilty should have the right to life. The Death Penalty and Similar Crimes To begin with, the death penalty should be terminated because the actual applications for the death penalty is random, and capricious. In other words, the death penalty system here in the United States is applied in an unfair manner. According to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the death penalty system is an unjust method against people because it is largely dependent on how much income and money the individual has, the intellectual skills of their attorneys, the victim's race and or ethnicity and exactly where the crime took place. It is proven that people of color is executed more compared to white people, more so if the victim is white. Innocent people are often executed by the state. Over one hundred and fifty–six ... • 3. Vigilante Injustice: The Pro-Life Movement Kaveny Cathleen informs us on what the pro–life activist stance is all about in the article "Vigilante injustice: the right to life & the rule of law". In this article, she comes to inform us by telling the story of an extremist pro–life activist Robert Lewis Dear. His actions against abortion providers have affected the views of the public. Those actions have also affected multiple other pro–life activists in the pro–life movement. She openly states that with the outcome of these events, "it became increasingly clear that opposition to abortion was his motivation, which put many pro–life activists on the defensive". In the being, she informs us of the acts that Robert Lewis Dear committed to defending innocent children who were being killed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As I am filled with even greater questions of morality towards the pro–life movement. Are pro–life supports willing to justify murder to stop a woman from aborting an unwanted child? Fears of aggression like this are made real in this article as we are told of the dilemma this issue raises for those supporting pro–life. Some see it as being justifiable thus making dear's action justifiable meanwhile, others see it as being wrong as it goes against the meaning of pro–life. I've come to think through this article that this movement wants to end the abortion practice but is unwilling to support those that have taken direct action. By the time I reached the ending of this article. I believe that I may have gained great clarity and a better understanding on this issue. Because it has told me that people are at very opposite ends of how the pro–life activism. Though we all understand why the view is so controversial to the public. Killing a person will always be wrong in any way as it is against the law, unlike abortion. My personal overview of this article is one that is filled with indifferences towards pro–life. Nerveless it has confirmed my rejection of the pro–life movement. Because it has informed me of how those inside the movement cannot act in coherence with each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Pre Screening For Disabilities And Genetic Enhancement Pre–screening for disabilities and genetic enhancement are vital factors in the decision to place restrictions for selective genetic abortion. All human life should be of equal worth, supporting the ideal that life–and–death decisions for seriously compromised newborns should not be based on the quality of life (CITE 3). Screening for genetic diseases through the use of in vitro fertilization, or IVF, limits and excludes those with disabilities from our society, exposing limits on morality. These include transgression of divine laws, transgression of natural laws, introduction of an unacceptable risk of harm, introduction of a threat to genetic diversity, introduction of a threat to one's common genetic heritage, paradoxical counterproductively, a misuse of social resources, a widened gap between the "haves and "have nots", promotion of social conformity and homogeneity, and lastly undermining free choice (Fisher, 2013). From these points it is important to recognize the impact it has upon our society, and how we perceive, and behave towards those with a disability. The practise of introducing selective abortion through the use of IVF and genetic testing will create a hostile environment going forward into the future for those who escape detection before birth. This will cause potential discrimination against those with a disability, making them liable to be looked down upon by the community and unfit to be alive (Fisher, 2013). Thus this can create a second class or even a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. The Moral Permissibility Of Abortion Moral Permissibility of Abortion Abortion has been a debating issue for many decades. Most of the countries, permit abortion, however, some religions and countries consider abortion to be morally and ethically impermissible. In Canada, the abortion was legalized in 1988 based on the fact that the law should not force a women to carry a fetus beyond her priorities as it would interfere with her body and her own securities towards life. Many would argue against this view by stating that a fetus does have a right to live and thus, abortion is morally wrong. I believe that abortion is morally and ethically permissible as long as it does not violate significant rights of others. The case of Deb and Derek is a perfect example to support my view towards abortion. The couple who has been married for two years have realized that Deb is 16 weeks pregnant with a child who has down's. Down syndrome is genetic disorder in which a person has 47 chromosomes instead of 46 which results in birth defects including mental retardation and delayed physical, social and mental development (Smolkin, Bourgeois & Findler, 2010, p. 165). Derek is supports abortion because he thinks objectively the child can cause problems in their relationship, newly setup business and their overall lifestyle. On the other hand, Deb is thinking emotionally and feels that she should not abort the child and taking care of a child with down's will not be as tough as Derek thinks. Later on, when Deb's realized that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This particular ad is Pro–Life and the web site is all about promoting life and protecting human rights. It is obvious that the picture is trying to create some kind of reaction. The ad relies on the sole effect of Pathos. The ad portrays pathos because it is targeting a very diverse audience, that being said it is meant to spark a reaction in both pro–life and pro–choice advocates. The audience is prone to disagree with the reaction of the ad but the point is very clear. The main appeal of the ad is to try to change the minds of the pro– choice believers in to not aborting and keep the pro–life believing that abortion is a mistake. By adding a picture of a fetus they are personalizing it and making the viewer not only see a fetus but they are making it seem innocent in a sense that plays well with their words. • 14. Definition Essay On Anti Abortion Definition of anti–abortion, anti–abortion means that someone disagrees with a woman who is pregnant that decides to take out/kill the life of a baby still inside the womb. A woman can have an abortion up to 24 weeks, even though starting at 20 weeks is when the baby has developed all arms and legs and has a heartbeat, it can now start feeling pain too. The definition of pro–life, pro–life means to be there for the child who's life that was for, maybe not physically but people could help by donating to children's homes, or help organizations that educate teens about safe sex plus people could help the health department reach out to young girls who need birth control or condoms. There are many different ways to be pro–life. These are just the names and examples of people who disagree with abortion but there are people who do agree, "those who support abortion want to be known as "pro–choice" rather than "pro–abortion" (Pro–Life Or Anti–Abortion?). • 16. Unwind Themes Unwind written by Neal Shusterman is scoped with ideas that are very relevant in our society today. The novel is based in the future where a child is both terminated and yet kept alive, however in a divided state. The main themes in the novel are the right to life and the right to do what we want with our own bodies, these ideas are in all three of the main characters lives. The idea of the right to life is very important in today's society the reason for this is that taking away someone's life is murder, except in our society it comes in all different forms. "We have a right to our lives! We have a right to choose what happens to our bodies" –Connor. Firstly, Shusterman uses the main characters to portray the theme of the right to life. Connor gets his life taken away from him at the age of sixteen when his parents sign his life away to be unwind, but it wasn't his decision he didn't even know about it until he went snooping around and found the unwind card that would take him to his death, the worst of all was that his family was going on vacation the day after he was going to be unwind. "So Connor went looking a little deeper when his parents went out, and he found it the unwind order." this shows us that Connor's parents didn't even have the decency to tell him and the worst thing was it was the holiday they were planning to go on "The date on the order was the day before the Bahamas trip." Shusterman used these quotes to express that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pro And Anti Abortion Controversy pro and anti abortion Controversy 1970–1990 In the photo to the Left we can see women marching in protest for REPEAL, these women are Pro– Choice and wanted to change the Contraception, Sterilisation and Abortion Act. In the photo to the Right we can see Pro–Lifers marching in the 'Rally for Life' with banners protesting to abortion. Leading up to the Controversy Leading up to the Controversy in the 70s and 80s – An introduction to where it all Began Before the abortion debates in the 70s to 80s, starting in the 1880s when the birth rate began to decline discussions began to spark over topics regarding sexual health, contraception and a woman's right to abortion. Then the topic of abortion became a public issue again in the 1920s–1930s after the first world war, politicians started to talk about the controversy, doctors spoke out and women's groups stated their liberal views, and news papers wrote columns on the beginning abortion controversy. At this time New Zealand began to see a strong support for the anti–abortion party from the Church, politicians and doctors. Many people in the 1930s were against abortion as they were worried about passing on there genes, and because of the widespread concern over the birth rate drop New Zealand was experiencing at this time. This was a particular concern for Frederic King of the Plunket Society and Doris Gordon of the Obstetrical Society which they voiced numerous times. • 20. The Persuasive Essay : The Ethics Of Abortion How would you feel, if I told you that your mother wanted to have an abortion when you were a fetus just because she didn't want to raise you, didn't have the time for you, or the money. Or didn't want the responsibility that came with having a child. What if I told you that half of the women that get pregnant in the U.S. today have abortions, and their main reason is most likely because it might interfere with their work, education, or relationships. Which is selfish. If you think about it, they think that the the baby inside them means nothing. They don't deserve to live a happy life or a life at all. Also they think it's their body, but it's not it's the baby's body too. This controversial topic has been an a highly debated argument for many years, whether it's ethical to kill your unborn child or or not! Also the fact that the rate is growing tremendously. Abortions first started in the 1820s. At that time women knew that they were and are killing their fetus or embryo. Some women are not ready to become parents to take the responsibly. Personally, I think that having an abortion is morally wrong because you are killing an unborn fetus or embryo, while it is barely starting to develop. First of all, abortions have been becoming a conflicting issue during the past several years. The first reason why you shouldn't have an abortion is because you cannot deprive someone of life and of civil rights. Just because they don't have a say of choosing, if they want a life or not. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 22. The Right Of The Fetus Life Marqui's famous article is against abourtion. His article is different and he tries to explain why killing and adult human is wrong ans see if the same reason works for abortion. The main argument is the idea that a fetus is considered a person at the moment of conceptrion. "since the fetus is considered a person than the has a futuree like ours. The fetus will have plenty of experiences and happinies just like any other being."( page448) Unlike Marquis, Thomson 's famous article defended abortion. Based on her premises, the fetus is a person from the moment of conception. Thomson main argument in the article the right of the fetus life is not absolutely right. Thus, she defended that abortion is morally acceptable in some cases by talking about "The violinist experiment", The Burglar and The Case of the People–Seeds. "Every person has a right to life. So the fetus has a right to life. No dough the mother has a right to decide what shall happen in and to her body; everyone would grant that. But surely a person's right to life is stronger and more stringent than the mother's right to decide what happens in and to her body, and so outweighs it. So the fetus may not be killed; an abortion may not be performed."(Thomson, page438) Thomson talks about true premises. Every person has a right to life and everyone has the right to control their body. A mother has the right to choose what will happen to her body, but a life is more important. Argument For Abortion : The Freedom Of Choose Life Karina Henriquez Introduction to Ethics Spring 2015 Dr. Milsky Argument for Abortion: The Freedom to Choose Life Judith Jarvis Thomson argued that the "the impermissibility of abortion does not follow from the premises that every fetus is a person and that every person has a right to life" (Thomson) Thomson distinguishes between what we ought to do versus what we are morally required to. This essay will show how abortions are permissible and not permissible according to Thomson. Thomson first starts about her argument that abortion may still be morally justified because the fetus inside does not the moral right to the use of the woman's body. Thomson goes on to say it is not necessary for the woman to allow the fetus to continue the use of the woman body to have the right to life (except in some cases). Thomson goes on to state in her argument that in some cases the fetus may have the right to life but that the woman is not morally required to grant that life to the fetus, or make large sacrifices to keep another person alive. Thomson says that most abortions are permissible because a," mother has the right to decide what happens in and to her body, and that this decision might outweigh the fetus right to life". (Thomson) Thomson proposes a thought experiment "You wake up in the morning and find yourself back to back in bed with an unconscious violinist. A famous unconscious violinist. So why is he now considering expanding taxpayer–funded abortion access in Illinois? It was never any secret that Gov. Rauner and his wife, Diana, are longtime supporters of the abortions–rights lobby. However, Gov. Rauner won the Republican primary and subsequent general election by convincing anti–abortion voters and principled Republicans that he was genuine in the statement he repeated over and over during his campaign: He is focused on fixing Illinois' myriad economic issues and has "no social agenda." I learned firsthand during that time how strident the Rauners are in their support of abortion, so I'm not going to attempt here to prove to them how morally wrong it is. I won't try to convince them that abortion is murder; that claiming to fight for women's rights is contrary to allowing millions of them to be exterminated in utero; that science proves life begins at conception; that pre–born children are more than just "clumps of cells." (Perhaps on this last item, the Rauners can refer to a recent social media post by the Ounce of Prevention Fund, where Diana Rauner is president. A Sept. 18 Ounce of Prevention Fund Facebook post said: "Parenting begins before your baby is even born: Did you know babies' taste buds begin developing at 8 weeks? Research suggests that what you eat during your pregnancy impacts what your child eats as they grow up – so time to start developing their taste for veggies now!") Since moral arguments will not resonate, I'll stick to the political and economic ones. • 28. Persuasive Essay On Euthanasia Euthanasia Moving away from the criminals, another form of killing would be euthanasia which happens a lot in hospitals and medical institutions. This is what people commonly call as mercy killing as they regard it as something merciful to extend to someone whose life depends only on the machines they are hooked on to. On my end, it will never be right to just abandon your loved ones and give up on them in their last few moments in life. Assisted suicide or mercy killing is still a form of killing no matter what reasons the person has. Euthanasia is a form of killing although it is classified to be a form of mercy since it will cause relief not only to the patient but also to the family members. Despite the intention, it is still a form of killing. It is still the idea of taking away the life of your family member and abandoning him/her in the last moment of his/her life. Even if it is requested by the patient already, that is similar to assisting suicide and, in a way, it is taking away a person's life. Many points have been raised in certain websites about assisted suicide or mercy killing having both the pros and cons (debatewise.org n.p.). Among the points that were highlighted were the possibility of getting cured or finding a new treatment. It is possible if the family member and even the patient would hold a little longer, the patient could have been treated or given the chance to be better from his/her condition. • 30. Persuasive Essay : Why Abortion Is Wrong? Why abortion is wrong We all are created equal, there are certain rights given by God that you and I are not free to ignore. Therefore, the first and most basic right is the right of life. The exercise of our right to liberty and our right to the pursuit of happiness is secondary to respecting the right to life. Our pursuit of happiness must not compromise any other person's right to live. So, the right to life is not some modern anti–abortion slogan. It is the most fundamental assertion of the document upon which this nation was founded. Abortion is murder at any stage of pregnancy, and acts against U.S. constitution. Furthermore not only does abortion harm innocent babies, but also raises the risk of medical complications for the mother. Abortion can emotionally affect each woman differently, mothers who use an abortion as an easy exit of an unwanted pregnancy can suffer of persistent sadness, regret, anger, shame, depression, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, anxiety, thoughts of death, suicide or hopeless. Studies within the first few weeks after the abortion have found that between 40 and 60 percent of women questioned report negative reactions. Within 8 weeks after their abortions, 55% expressed guilt, 44% complained of nervous disorders, 36% had experienced sleep disturbances, 31% had regrets about their decision, and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their family doctor. (Abortionfacts.com) the emotional side effects of having an abortion are just as real as physical side effects. Consequently, cervical damage is another leading cause of long term complications following abortion. Normally the cervix is rigid and tightly closed. In order to perform an abortion, the cervix must be stretched open with a great deal of force. During this forced dilation there is almost always caused microscopic tearing of the cervix muscles and occasionally severe ripping of the uterine wall, as well. • 32. The Controversial Issue Of Abortion In recent discussions of abortion, the controversial issue has become whether or not women should be given the right to take their unborn child's life away. Many believe in all having the right to live while others believe in the right to be given a choice. Women do not want to be given restrictions, they want to be able to have a voice when making decisions. With abortion women have a hard time making their decision based upon the judgement others make if the decision of abortion is followed through or also finding a place for additional help. Even though abortion is legal, with the belief of unfairness to abort a child, doctors are unwilling to provide their services. Abortion is viewed differently to many but it is determined upon the situation. While I do believe in the right of all humans being able to live, I stand by the right's woman deserve by empowering their own decisions. In many cases women have a difficult time finding someone who is willing to understand their needs or wants. Americans have come quick to judge women if it involves them killing their own child, though not all situations are brought clear. Dr. Willie J. Parker, is one of few who believe in women having rights. Dr. Parker has decided to give woman a chance to abort their child because of the understanding of his job. To some countries it's a burdensome issue to be talked about, whereas other countries have come to a stand to where they are on the spectrum on this subject. Norma McCorvey, known as Jane Roe, was a Texas local who needed to obtain an abortion. The Texas law prohibited abortions except to save the pregnant mother's life. She had soon had given birth but only to give up the baby for adoption. Ever since she has come forward and changed sides on the abortion debate. As she filed her case to the U.S. Supreme Court, she received support from many women and of course, displeasure from others. • 36. The Death Penalty Should Be An Option When presented with a heinous crime, the question of whether the death penalty should be an option has often sparked heated debates between left wing liberals and right wing conservatives. Those on the left would most likely argue that capital punishment does not serve any beneficial purpose in our society. In contrast, conservatives, provided that they have no religious motives to oppose the death penalty, would likely argue that it is a necessary punishment for heinous crimes. For thousands of years the death penalty has been used as the ultimate form of punishment for a vast number of crimes and in even more numerous methods. Babylon's King Hammurabi identified 25 different crimes that justified the death penalty; the list did not however include murder. A popular form of punishment during the colonial period in New England, over 222 crimes were punishable by death. These numbers began to dwindle to zero once it was determined that capital punishment was inhumane by the British government ("The history of capital punishment"). The movement to abolish the death penalty has spread to many other countries around the world but has yet to have a widespread effect in the United States. Still currently legal in the U.S. in 31 states, the death penalty remains as a reminder of mankind's barbaric past (Facts about the Death Penalty). • 42. Mostication, Is Abortion Is Morally Permissible? The moral question of abortion, is abortion morally permissible? The question has been a concern for many philosophers in the contemporary world. In general, abortion is a very fragile topic for people all over the world, especially for people who consider themselves to be pro–life and rest on the claim that a fetus is a person and that "every person has a right to life" (48). This is the premise of opposition to abortion that most people rely on. That premise would only work if, and only if, we all can agree on if the fetus is considered a human. If the fetus is considered a human then we can logically say that abortion is impermissible because we would be taking a life; conversely, if the fetus is not a person then abortion would be allowed. Such is not a perfect world where everything is black and white, free thinking gives people strong opinions about when life begins causing two sides of Thomson's argument. Being open minded like every great philosopher should, Thomson stands in between the fence and claims the conclusion that abortion is permissible under certain circumstances and that there are scenarios in which getting an abortion is considered impermissible. Thomson's argument does a great job in explaining her reason through the use of eight thought experiments to support her main claim and I will critique her reasoning and create objections to her claim for the purpose of a wholesome critique and to leave the readers to decide where the extension of their morals/ethics lies to pick a side in this controversial topic. Thomson does not think that a fetus at the moment of conception is a person using the analogy that an acorn is not yet an oak tree. Assuming that a fetus is a person and every person has a right to life, the fetus also has the right to live. Thomson began with her own objection that if a person has the right to life then the mother also has the right to choose what happens in and to her body. She then sets the reader up by saying that surely a fetus' right to life takes precedent over the mother's right to choose what happens to her and her body. She assumes worst case scenario and respond with a thought experiment to counter act her worst case scenario. The thought experiment ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. A Defense Of Abortion By Judith Jarvis Thomson Abortion is a major issue that has lead to many different opinions, ideas, and various debates. Proponents for abortion often use the fact that a fetus is not a moral person to justify their position, whereas those who are against the issue often claim that a fetus is a moral person and should deserve every right a moral person has, including the right to live. Judith Jarvis Thomson, however, takes an entirely different approach. In her article "A Defense of Abortion" Thomson argues that even if a fetus is considered to be a human being does not automatically ensure it the right to live. Thomson's position leads to many oppositions and critiques. Foot's article, for example, " Killing versus Letting Die" attempts to point out the flaws in Thomson's argument. Foot claims that a fetus' status must be considered when addressing the issue of abortion and that Thomson's argument is invalid. Although Thomson's argument may seem valid at first, Foot does offer considerable evidence critiquing the validity of Thomson's argument. One of the main issues Foot has with Thomson's argument is the analogy her paper consistently relies on to relay her position. In the analogy, a person is kidnapped and placed in a kidney machine that is connected to an ill violinist, who is in desperate need of a functioning kidney. With that analogy, Thomson argues that an individual's right to agency trumps over another person's right to life if that person has to depend on and is a burden to the ... Growing up in a certain period can cause a different outlook on life, thus resulting in a clashing of fundamental ideas on how life should be lived. While many of us go about our lives differently we all are granted access to a list of unalienable rights. These rights which as humans are given to us at birth. The rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The color of a man's skin does not grant him access to these rights nor does it deny him access. For over a century throughout this nation people were denied these rights due to the color of their skin. Many would argue as the confederate did these rights do not apply to "blacks" because the black race is inferior. Although, these ideals may seem idiotic now this was the ideology of the people who enslaved my people throughout the years. The argument that was made against slavery was simplistic and one that I agree with whole heartedly. On page sixty one of Stephens cornerstone speech it is written "the prevailing ideas entertained by him and most of the leading statesmen at the time of the formation of the laws of nature; that it was wrong in principle, socially morally, and politically" (61). Each and every day throughout our universe, professionals in the medical field suck thousands of babies from their mothers' wombs in a procedure known as abortion. The law not only protects but provides consent to both the mother and medical professionals for these unjust procedures. Life begins at the exact moment of conception, and an innocent life should not be taken away under any circumstance. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on whether or not abortion is deemed right or wrong. However, when it is all said and done, the babies discernibly have no right of protection or life themselves, because of an argument that regards when a fetus is decided to be a life. The right to life is the most important right that we the people have. The argument of this essay will provide evidence to why abortion is wrong. For the same exact reason as killing the audience reading this essay is also considered wrong. I will just establish, rather than assume, that killing the audience is severely wrong. Consider the following standard anti–abortion argument: Fetuses are both alive and human. Humans have the right to life. Therefore, unborn babies have the right to life. Most certainly, women have the right to decide what they do with their own bodies, but the right to life overrides the right of a woman wanting to possess control over her own body. Therefore, abortion is unlawful. The life of the woman is not and should not be the sole concern and the life of the baby should be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Abortion The rate of abortion in the United States has been increasing rapidly since 1973, with an estimated total of over 55 million abortions. • 52. The Perspective On Abortion From A Utilitarian View Analyzing the perspective on abortion from a utilitarian view is quite hot and cold. In this we weigh the pros and cons of each situation at hand. "When there are multiple choices with different utilities, or wen utilities conflict, we should always pick the greatest one." (Weston p.151) If a person is to decide if a person be executed they must decide, which outcome is the superior one. Killing a man who is possibly innocent or keep them alive but they may not be innocent. In this situation not killing at all outweighs the other options. Think of it this way, it is decided that a person will not be executed and instead spend life in prison. This wouldn't effect anyone for the fact that they will still be safe from harm from this person. Then if they have the possibility of being innocent everyone can have a clear conscience. If a woman is deciding whether to have an abortion there must be some situations to think about. If a woman is raped she should be allowed to make that decision. Weighing the pros and cons on this life is tricky. A woman could get an abortion and not realize she has aborted an innocent life. This is just the same as executing someone who may be innocent. Innocence becomes a key word. For abortions people claim that it is not life yet and there is no conscious thought. A fetus would be considered an innocent life. • 54. The Main Features Of The Argument On The Nature Of... The key features of the argument on the nature of abortion developed by Judith Thomson first focuses on the extreme anti–abortion view, second the right to life, third the right to live and use the mother's body, fourth having rights and their being certain limits, and fifth the good Samaritan and the responsibilities of the parents. The extreme anti–abortion view develops a thinking that when a mother's life is threatened if she should carry her baby to full term what is the decision she must make. Opponents of abortion believe that the fetus's life is more important than the mother's life and that the mother should not abort the child. Even though, opponents may believe that the fetus being a person has every right to life so does the mother. A mother aborting her child cannot be considered an act of murder, because she is only doing it to save her own life. For example as stated in the text: There you are lying in bed with the violinist and the director of the hospital comes in and tells you that your kidneys are failing, and that you will die within a month. But you have to stay where you are because unplugging yourself directly from the violinist would be considered directly killing an innocent person; (Thomson, 270) A person may not seriously consider that someone would willingly sit there and keep themselves plugged up to someone when they are unwillingly dying because if it. Many state governments clearly believe that capital punishment is a valid and moral solution for severe crimes committed in their individual state. Capital punishment, however, is completely immoral, and there are a lot of risks that follow this type of penalty. Capital punishment disregards the eighth amendment in the Bill of Rights, it opposes many religious beliefs, it is expensive for taxpayers, and most importantly it creates the possibility of innocent people being penalized for a crime that they did not commit. The death penalty should be made illegal in all states in the United States in order to protect the rights and safety of the citizens. The eighth amendment in the Bill of Rights specifically states that excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted ("Eighth Amendment" It can be argued that capital punishment, also known as ... • 58. The Controversial Issue Of Abortion Abortion. The subject of abortion has become one of the most controversial issues in health care; deciding whether to abort a life or keep it. There are many ethical issues surrounding the topic. When does the fetus become a person? Is it when they grow arms and legs? Is it when there is a heartbeat? Is there an exact point, where ethically, having an abortion is wrong? There are many reasons people opt to have an abortion. Perhaps the child is bared through non consensual sex or from the failure of birth control. It is considered acceptable under those circumstances to end a life mostly because it's a life that wasn't exactly wanted in the first place, but is it acceptable for a child 's life to end when the parents discover their child has a genetic disorder? Now, through genetic testing, parents can see if their child has a genetic disorder before their child is even born, and many parents consider or even opt to abort their child due to the discovery of a disability. In The Globe and Mail, Ian Brown writes an interesting article on the controversial issue of abortion and genetic testing through his personal experience with his son Walker. In I'm glad I never had to decide whether my strange, lonely boy ought to exist, Ian brown describes his personal experience with his son who has an extremely rare genetic disorder, cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome. He explains the trials and tribulations of having a son with a rare disability and the ethical debate surrounding whether ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

People demonstrate their opinions with a mix of reactions. These reactions are called Attitude, but people may as well express hostile sexism when they show their attitudes. Hostile sexism consists of negative characteristics, feelings that women are not capable of taking decisions. According to Saul Kassin, Steven Fein and Hazel Markus (2016), attitude is defined as positive or negative reaction toward an idea, person or object in which is expressed at a certain level of intensity. People who are pro–life belief that abortion in all circumstances goes against morality and religious beliefs. Depending on their view point, pro–life attitudes can be negative or positive. Pro and anti–abortion attitudes' can be negative in the sense that some people's reactions tend to harm others while others impose their ideas without harming. Some pro–life protesters offended Planned Parenthood with negative words, such as calling them killers, sinners and corrupts. According to the pro–life protesters, Planned Parenthood is stealing government's money (Tiefendthalare, Acosta, Orme, 2017). I was born in 1973, the year that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Roe v. Wade. As much as I don't like the name, I'm a member of "Generation X," whatever that means. I'd suggest that we might be earning ourselves a new name soon, and it has to do with the "Right to Life" movement. This week, more than half a million people are expected to participate in the 41st annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., and most of those attending will be young people – better known as millennials. It wasn't like that in the beginning, but the amount of young people involved in the movement today is documented fact. They come by the hundreds of thousands ... Because we've worked with the organizers, we knew that some had ridden on buses through the night or even for several days in order to get there, but they were undeterred by the long hours of driving. As our family stepped close to the microphone, my husband told the crowd where we were from and the crowd from Indiana let out huge cheers. Then he stated we were strongly pro– life and the entire crowd broke out into cheers and applause. A Stand for Pro-Life: Stop Abortion Essay Pro Life "1.2 million abortions happen per year, which is 3,288 per day, 137 per hour, 9 abortions every 4 minutes, and 1 abortion every 26 seconds" ("Largest Grassroots Catholic Pro–Life Organization."). So many kids do not even get a chance in this world. Women just think that it's the only way out and that they have no other choice. They just convince themselves that it's the right thing to do. Women need to stop convincing themselves and actually make a stand and start doing the right thing. There are so many other options other than abortion that women do not realize. Then at just six weeks the child is starting to form its eyelid, mouth, nose, and tongue. The electrical brain activity can be detected at week six or seven. And people have the right to say that is not a human? Also what most mothers do not know is that the fetus can feel the abortion procedure happening. "If the fetus is beyond 20 weeks of gestation, I would assume that there will be pain caused to the fetus. And I believe it will be severe and excruciating pain."("Family Research Council.") Along with that women have to also think about the future of the child. Women who decide to get an abortion don't know and would never know that their child could have been an Olympian, they could have been the president of the United States, and they could have cured cancer! They could have made a difference in this world but they never even got the chance to. The 14th Amendment grants persons an explicit right not to be killed unless convicted of a capital crime ("But the Right to Abortion Is Constitutionally Protected!"). An innocent child should not be murdered for no crime being done. That is a life taken away. Just think, if all of our mother's decided to abort their child, there would of never been the chance at life for any of us, and that isn't fair to anyone. In 2014, approximately 926,240 abortions took place in the U.S., down from 1.06 million in 2011, 1.21 million abortions in 2008 ("CDCs Abortion Surveillance System FAQs."). The women don't even have to keep the baby, give it to a couple that can't have a child. Give the baby a chance at life and give people an opportunity to raise a child that they can't have. Don't kill the helpless child that is unable to speak for themselves. In addition to that, each individual should be able to possess their own future. Why do people have a say in whether another human being gets to live their life or not? You have the right to be selfish when it comes to your own body I understand, but when there is another life to take into consideration, then that's a reason to not be selfish and do what is right. Abortion is a purposeful termination of a pregnancy. The Pro–life movement is currently standing up to end abortions, stating that they want to give a voice for those who don't have a say. The Pro–life movement discusses the sensitive topic of preserving life, standing up against abortion, the impact it is currently having on many around the world, and what is evidently happening now. Many people have spoken out about their beliefs on anti–abortion, and abortion. Every single person has a different perspective, and a choice on how they choose and live their life. This movement was started by many people, but one of the main ones was Susan B. Anthony. Anthony was an American feminist who played a huge role in the women's suffrage movement. She spoke out for pro–life and was against abortion. In addition, another pro–life supporter, named Mother Teresa, was a very religious missionary, she once stated, "It is poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish." • 70. Abortion Essay Abortion (Pro–Life) Movement Introduction Abortion is one of the most controversial and talked about topics of our time. It is discussed in classrooms, work places and even on the Internet. Abortion is defined as the termination of pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in or closely followed by the death of an embryo or fetus. This definition includes accidental abortion such as, miscarriage and stillbirths. But this is not what is being debated. People want to know if abortion is ethical, if the fetus can feel pain, and when it is more human than non–human. These questions are very difficult to answer and may never be answered in our lifetime. But one thing we as humans do know is that we have opinions, ranging from completely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To simplify this definition, it is a change in the status quo of society. To simplify even more, it is changing from the norm. The normal way of life 70 years ago had always been the freedom to make your own decision. In most cases that's perfectly OK, however the pro–lifers feel differently, and that is no one should have the freedom to take another life. So essentially what they are trying to change is the taking of life from another innocent human being. They're trying established laws in attempts to protect and support the discourses and ideologies of their movements. One question that will often arise is this, why are people engaged in a social movement rather than coping with these problems on the individual basis or through institutionalized channel? The answer to this question is fairly simple. Pro–live supporters are involved in this for the simple reason that they feel passionately enough about it that they want to make a difference in society. Discourses and Ideologies Discourses and ideologies are what make a movement a movement. Essentially what a discourse is, is what the actual movement is trying to say. What the pro–lifers say about this movement is that abortions should not be legal. They say that every innocent human being has a right to life. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 72. Persuasive Essay Why An Abortion Is Wrong Why an Abortion is Wrong How would you feel, if I told you that your mother wanted to have an abortion when you were a fetus just because she didn't want to raise you, didn't have the time for you, or the money. Also they think it's their body, but it's not, it's the baby's body too. This controversial topic has been an a highly debated argument for many years, whether it's ethical to kill your unborn child or or not! Also the fact that the rate is growing tremendously. Abortions first started in the 1820s. At that time, women knew that they were and are killing their fetus or embryo. Some women are not ready to become parents to take the responsibility. Abortion Ethical Case Study Before researching on abortion issues, I never imagined it to be such controversial and debatable case because the problem arises from the very early stages of analyzing what administrative ethics would answer. I became overwhelmed to start because my mind became blurred on legality and ethics of abortion as early as defining administrative ethics: "well–based standards of right and wrong prescribing what public administrators ought to do in terms of duty to public service, principles, virtues, and benefits to society". Ethics triangle is grounded on duties in the center with principles, virtues, and benefits to society augmenting it. Duties of public administrator involves those 'obligations taken on while assuming a position'. They might ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nowadays, religious believers oppose abortion on the ground of their scientific basis. Peter Singer argued that "...from the first moments of its existence an embryo conceived from human sperm and eggs is a human being." (Catholic Answers, 2015). Including pre–delivery stage into existence of human being implies that fetus is just one of the stage of human life and his/her development as like childhood, adulthood, etc.). In that standing, fetus is not a mere body part of a woman on which she has full freedom to cut off; therefore, abortion is a type of manslaughter, immoral, unethical, and illegal. I find scientific basis incapable of helping to determine the case as its implication differs across individuals ( some argue that 'a human being is capable of living independent existence which excludes the unborn). Up to now, I did not find a persuasive argument to support my pre– research view as a proponent of abortion; therefore, I tried to find the core of this issue from a legal aspect by analyzing the existent statutory laws. Azerbaijan Constitution does not specify this issue but simply states that 'everyone has the right for life' because defining that 'everyone' is the essence of the debate. Nevertheless, Constitution also gives rights 'from the moment when they are born'; therefore, right to live may not include the unborn. Moreover,I found some hints ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 76. Abortion : The Right To Life Ever since the case of Roe v. Wade in 1973, abortion has been one of the most contentious issues in our society. Which later leads to the debate between pro–life and pro–choice. On the one hand, the pro–life perspective feels that all children should have the right to live. On the other hand, the pro– choice view believes that a woman should have the right to choose what is right for her and the situation at hand. This debate today has widely impacted everyone in the United States. The National Right to Life stands behind a mission which is to protect the right of souls, that is the right to life of every human from birth to destruction. With that in mind, the group firmly believes that a woman should not seek out abortion. NRL is strongly against abortion because it's the killing of an innocent unborn human at the early phases of growth. The National Right to the life work with families who are on the verge of having an abortion to help them overcome the difficult situation and choose life for their baby. Arguably, it is inherently wrong to kill an unborn child regardless of the conditions. According to the National Right to Life Committee, some arguments that might be present when debating pro–life is that even a nonviable, fetus is a blessing and must be protected by the government. Other reasons that the members of pro–life might use in defending their views is that you can't cure a sick patient by killing them. An example of the above arguments could be if the baby ... Pro–Choice activists declare it is a woman's right to choose what she does with her own body.
