Operations Supervisor/Service Coordinator
Led a multidisciplinary maintenance team consisting of 19 technicians including electrical and mechanical
tradespeople and gas technicians, 5 office/workshop personnel, and 35 subcontractors. Maintained the
company fleet and coordinated technical works for a range of equipment and parts breakdowns/problems
including urgent jobs. Communicated with major clients in relation to parts delays and provided advice on
how to maintain or fix equipment. The multifaceted role also involved process re-engineering,
quoting/estimating, providing technical advice to technicians, staff training/mentoring, preparing condition
reports, negotiating rates and schedules, and managing the entire process of installation of new equipment
from inception to completion.

● Consistently met stringent deadlines for the installation of equipment and resolution of technical issues

● Reduced costs and contributed to stores meeting budget levels by analysing and re-issuing job
requirements to alleviate the unnecessary replacement or upgrade of certain parts, effectively cutting back
on bottom line costs.
● Dramatically reduced travel time and increased time on-the-job for reactive breakdown technicians by
proposing an improved work process regarding job/technician locations.
● Instrumental in designing and implementing a daily run sheet which overcame issues with capturing time
for installation technicians. The run sheet clarified technicians’ productivity levels and ensured they were
being compensated and acknowledged accordingly.
● Encouraged technicians to think “outside the box” when repairing equipment to ensure the highest level
of service delivery, i.e. resolved several serious issues with Woolworths and Coles equipment, thereby
saving significant loss in revenue due to lack of production.
